Hi,
Our company has 3 phone systems. Amcat, Panasonic and Mitel.
I want to record calls made and received from our service desk staff. I
have setup monitoring ports and confirmed via wireshark that RTP data is
being received on the port. I get a record of each call, the problem is
I usually only get one side. A few times I have received both sides of
the call, and they have been when it has been an Amcat to Amcat internal
call, but generally only one side is recorded, not the Service Desk
staff but the external party. This is the same with both internal and
external calls.
I use the latest build of Centos (6.5) and the latest build of oreka I
could find (not the source install). Version 1.7.
I have been playing with the different config.xml settings but don't
seem to be getting anywhere. Could anyone please help me?
I use the free version of Oreka.
See below for the config file.

Hi, Recently did a fresh installation on Windows and CentOS, I'm unsure if this was issue before. I have the same problem on both platforms. I discovered that if an agent parks an incoming call and either calls somewhere or do a simple park/retrieve, recording of the callers' speech disappears. You can still clearly hear the agent's voice in the recording and the agent themselves have no problem talking to the caller. Is it a known problem with recording after parking (and what might be a port change) when the agent retrieves the call, or do I have a local issue with my setup? Hello my Friends , recently I upgraded from oreka 0.5 to 1.2 version , and everything went fine . I did a tapefile rename through changing the config.xml file to add the IP attribute to the file , and it went fine , but the problem is that the change is not reflected to the DB as expected , please advise me what to do to solve this ... ? Thanks in advance |

Hi oreka users, I've successfully managed to configure the system but i'm facing a problem : I use "<LocalPartyForceLocalMac>yes</LocalPartyForceLocalMac>" to get the local party's MAC address. But it does not work for the remote party. So I tried configuring orkaudio with : <RemotePartyForceRemoteMac>yes</RemotePartyForceRemoteMac> and I always get the IP address. Is it implemented in the OS version ? If not, what can I do ? I really need this feature. Thanks in advance. Best Regards. -- Martin |

As long as the signalling (SIP, Skinny, ...) and media traffic (RTP) go over the VPN from the remote phone/softphone to the central PBX and as long as your port mirroring includes this traffic, you should be good.
