I am a software developer, and I am keen to contribute to this project (if I am able). However, I am totally unfamiliar with creating applications in TomCat. Could you suggest some further reading where I can see some examples (preferably not just Hello World!)?

Remove the javascript stuff and only keep the URL (from http:// to .wav) and try to stick it into a browser. If the browser cannot download the wav file, it could just be that your hostname of tasgdell490 does not resolve. Try doing the same with the IP address of the server.

But, still I cannot get the .wav files to play within OrkWeb.

When I tried the string:

or even when I amend it to be

javascript:play('http://tagdell490:1955//2008/05/27/12/20080527_125015_10.42.0.119,19092.wav')

neither works.

If I paste:

dial, hold, transfer, dial, hold, etc.) the calls will merge and sometimes
drop a side of the conversation (not always)

 

I am going to run some tests and capture under wireshark and will send them
to you.  I will also be looking at the code for an idea of where the problem
might lay.

 

Any suggestions at this point?

In your MySQL 'service' table, you can change the TCP port used for building
those URLs.

I have installed Orkaudio on a Windows XP machine, along with Orktrack and OrkWeb. mostly it is working fine.
 
I have been having problems getting Orkaudio to write the entries to the Oreka database (which I created in the TomCat setup stage). The error message I received in the Catalina log was:

So, I managed to get Orkaudio to write entries into the Oreka MySQL database, by telling it to use port 1955 for logging, like so:  

 <TrackerHostname>localhost</TrackerHostname>
 <TrackerTcpPort>1955</TrackerTcpPort>
 <EnableReporting>true</EnableReporting>

I changed the destination of the output audio files too, with the line:

 <AudioOutputPath>C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 5.5\webapps\ROOT</AudioOutputPath>

and files did go to the ROOT directory, and can be played from Windows Media Player.

But, although Orkweb could see the entries, it could not play them! 

I noticed that even though I *was* using port 1955 to access the Tomcat page as in http://localhost:1955/orkweb <http://localhost:1955/orkweb and it was displaying the data, when>  and it was displaying the data, when I pressed the play button it was trying to play a file using port 8080 within the play string!

How, can I make OrkTrack/OrkWeb both use port 1955?

A helpful earlier post suggested how to change the Orkaudio part of the software, as in:

You can tune this in config.xml:

<TrackerTcpPort>80</TrackerTcpPort>

and the user said: "I know how to change the tomcat xml from 8080 to 80 post install and preinstall on the
form, but my question is, that if I do that will the database still be updated or will
changing the port from 8080 to 80 corrupt the hardcoding."


but he did not explain how to do the OrkWeb bit.

Can anyone please help?

It is possible to do it, but you need to recompile all dependencies as well,
otherwise orkaudio will just crash.

If you send a pcap trace directly to me of one such IVR call, I can have a
look and see if it's possible to report the right number.
