I managed to install orkaudio on a raq550 server using the 
orkaudio-0.5-313-centos-4.2-i386-RPMs.tar file and instructions here: 
http://oreka.sourceforge.net/download/redhat
all the commands went in and everything seemed to go well but at the end
and even after a reboot orkaudio doesn't seem to be there.
# orkaudio
bash: orkaudio: command not found

and also there's no orkaudio folder at /var/log/
can anyone shed light on this?

the raq server is running strongbolt (Centos 4.4 I think), the linux
version in the system specs is:
Kernel:     Linux version 2.6.18-53.el5.sb (ro...@cb...)
(gcc version 3.4.6 20060404 (Red Hat 3.4.6-9)) #1 SMP Sat Aug 16
18:46:51 BST 2008

I'm trying to install orkaudio on centos 4.4 and I'm following the steps 
here:

The first two yum commands work okay, but when I do:
# rpm -i xercesc-2.7.0-1.i386.rpm
I get:
"error: open of xercesc-2.7.0-1.i386.rpm failed: No such file or
directory"
any ideas?

I have this setup running on SPAN, with 100 extensions.

 

I have installed 0.5.313 version (same problem faced) and then compiled code
from Trunk and replaced the files, please help.

The open source version of Oreka does not support proprietary Avaya signaling.

What we have done is to create another table with a list of extensions and IP addresses and then using a trigger to update the table when the insert is done. I can send you my trigger if you would like.

It writes the .wav file to \Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat
5.5\webapps\ROOT/2009/11/06 just like its supposed to, so not sure why its
throwing the error message.

 

Again, it appears to be working, but I do notice in the error message above
that the first part of the path (as defined in config.xml) it uses
backslashes up to the "2009", then it goes to forward slashes - does that
have anything to do with it?

MediaGateways will not help you in the case of pure RTP streams without
signalling. If you think about it, all you see is an RTP stream between two
IP addresses. How can you know which side was the initiator of the stream?
Even if you say "it's the first direction I see", this makes a timing
assumption that will not always stand true when you account for endpoint
variable reaction time, SPAN monitoring artefacts and such.

And in OrkWeb under one of my call records it has "Remote Party"
"192.168.76.12" then why would the "Direction" field be blank?

 

It doesn't seem that <MediaGateways> is doing what its supposed to be doing.

I have hosted my documention for installing and setting up Orkweb and
Orkaudio at a new location. Google documents as means of public hosting just
didn't work, because everytime I needed to update it, the link would change.

- orkaudio config.xml

- mysql database 

    # mysqldump -u root -ppassword oreka > oreka.mysql

- Audio files

    They are usually in {Tomcat Folder}/webapps/ROOT/year/month/day/hour

    

* Restore:

    # mysql -u root -ppassword

    mysql> use test;

    mysql> source oreka.mysql

The GPL version of Oreka does not support Avaya proprietary signalling. SIP
should work fine.

In the Windows version, do you know why OrkWeb looks in the root of the
website for the recording and not where Oreka stores them by default
(C:\Program Files\Orkaudio\AudioRecordings)?

Is there a way around this?

 

What I have done is disabled the orkaudio service, moved all of orkaudio to
C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 5.5\webapps\ROOT

and then create my own service that runs orkaudio from C:\Program
Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 5.5\webapps\ROOT.

I found that the audio files don't play within the webpage unless they are

Solution

Stop the orkaudio service.

Copy the contents of  C:\Program Files\Orkaudio and paste it to "C:\Program
Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 5.5\webapps\ROOT"

and run orkaudio from "C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat
5.5\webapps\ROOT"

and change config.xml in "C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat
5.5\webapps\ROOT" to read

<AudioOutputPath>./</AudioOutputPath>

 

Disable your old orkaudio service, because its gonna run it from the wrong
location.

Get a free Microsoft app called autoexnt.exe and make your own service and
have it run it from "C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat

I got everything 100% Fully Functional in a Windows XP VMware Server 2.0
server today!!

 

Anyone know if there is a way so that when you click Play from within the
webpage to make it open Windows Media Player, so that the user can have the
option to save the recording to their hard drive?

Cisco have changed their Skinny protocol for version 7. You need to checkout the latest sources for Oreka, compile them and use the following config switch in the orkaudio config.xml under <VoIpPlugin>:

I was using Cisco Call Manager 6 and Oreka before, it was working fine 

 

But after upgraded to Call Manager 7, 

 

In tapelist.txt .... 

the Oreka engine seems cannot retrieve the "direction" field and the Dial-Number of "localParty" and "remoteParty", 

it retrieves the IP address only

 

i.e.

date=2009-11-02_17-54-03 duration=46 direction=unkn capturePort=10.10.10.202,18908 localParty=10.10.10.175 remoteParty=10.10.10.202 localEntryPoint= localIp=10.10.10.175 remoteIp=10.10.10.202

Is it because some setting/config in CM7 has BLOCKED these fields ??
