Not your ordinary Friday

Our school celebrated Halloween last Friday. It tends to be a wild kind of a day.
To clarify the above... The weather was windy and rainy, I had a sign on our door saying "Well behaved children allowed, the rest will be made into pies" and we had a movie and popcorn :)

Among staff members you could meet a Gypsy, Alice, Dr. Chop, Count Dracula, a monster or two and Mad Hatter.
I turned into the Queen of Hearts.
And got promptly asked by a 2nd grader who  I was going to marry...
Yeah, well.. it must have been the white tulle  :P

A pink thing

Now obviously these pics were taken some time ago.
August in fact..

But I was going through photos today, and thought it would be nice to share.
I looooove reflections..
Guess what it is?

A wheel... on what?

 On a hippie-mobile.
Now I haven't come across many pink cars while walking downtown, but when Elizabeth started posting pics of her daughter in front of pink cars, these started popping up..  funny that.

Let's give them a little 70's vibe :)

And to top all the pinkness, a pink building with purple and pink laundry...
Happiness.
That's all.

Really, doesn't everybody have one?

Back in 2005 I gave a peek into my candle cupboard.
Yes, you read correctly.
What can I say, I love candlelight. And as this is the time of year, when daylight dimishes until it is just 5½ hours of low light.. you need some ambience, right?

A week ago, I went through the cupboard as it was a mess.
So everything came out and got sorted.

Trash into the bin, burnt candle ends to a bag...

Getting nostalgic over ooold boxes with price tags..
It's been decades since we had Eka as our supermarket..

I've left in my Grandma's old shelf papers. They are in great shape and I just don't have the heart to change it :)

I've had this bottle for 17 years... got it from my Dad when Saara was born, it was soooo good.

All organized.

The candle stubs will be stored away to make fire starters (sorry, the link is in Finnish, but the photos are pretty explanatory) and..

 .. outdoor torches.

I'll leave you with what the top of the cupboard looked like this week.

Sunset and into the foggy night...

 Yesterday and today.
Mere hours apart.
