I've been meaning to show what came out of the chaos and panic.
We are, literally in the basement... down in the dungeons, where the dragons live :P
Welcome in!
The kids made the wreath last spring from egg cartons. I love it!
The Club sign is made with rope that has wire inside, that I wrapped in fabric.
The painters did eventually show up, and they started by adding some much needed color to the doors.
This is our main room the way it looked in June after the library had been packed and moved.
And once we started on it in August...
What is behind the doors?
Well the doors on the left are gone. That last one houses our kitchen (that's where the fridge went) :)
The middle room got a very green look.. I managed to pick a color that makes a windowless room look sunny!
It's the reading room.
Channeling my inner "Dottie Angel"..
The other room, got a darker look...
A hang-out room you where you imagine yourself in another galaxy..
Back to the main room.
This is where we are now.
The back wall art piece in made with paint chips and extra strong doublesided tape. I still want to continue it both ways.

I found this enbroidery at a thrift shop and made it into a pillow.
Our lego tables are still under construction.. we have four of these Ikea shelves and still need to have them attached together, two and two. Only after that I can glue the base boards on top.
Let's have a look in the corridor.
And finally the craft/game room.
This is a room with very little daylight, so I'm glad it at least has that huge mirror.
In June:
August:
And: TA-DAAH!
That is hula hoops, fabric from an umbrella and the cheapest netting curtains from Ikea :)
I have a great little walk-in closet for all the craft supplies.
David's on going project of turning all our kids into lego men.
*grin*
And hey, it's Halloween this week...
We are turning into creepy dungeons.. we already have spiders knitting webs...
I'll show you more of that later ;)
