Hi angelfly > grmultitexstate.cpp:30: error: `GL_TEXTURE0_ARB' undeclared (first use this > function) Looks like you have outdated, the newest nvidia or wrong OpenGL header files (since nvidia 61.06 I recognized that those symbols are not anymore defined in gl.h). Make sure that the compiler finds header files which define the above symbol (gl.h in /usr/include/GL or /usr/X11R6/include/GL). Find the GL dir(s): cd /usr find . -name GL -type d 2> /dev/null | grep "include/GL" cd into GL dirs and look for the symbol: grep GL_TEXTURE0_ARB gl.h If you find nothing you can: - install a gl.h which defines GL_TEXTURE0_ARB (e.g. from Mesa or older nvidia drivers) bye, Bernhard. -- visit my homepage http://www.berniw.org coming soon: The TORCS Racing Board, http://www.berniw.org/trb |

Okay kinda got things going, I need to look at telemetry now, not alot of info on it, and the example in the human.cpp does not appear to work or am I doing something wrong. First were is the default place that the telemetry is dropped in? the ~/.torcs or is it /usr/local/share/games/torcs ? or somewhere completely different? I pointed the telemetry to my .torcs dir and nothing, I touched the file, nothing put in it. Any ideas what else to check for or how I debug this problem. Kinda need the telemetry think I'm bumping on the packers and I can't hear any audible sounds from the car other than screaming rubber and the 'injun. I'm puzzled here. Are you sure that only one version of TORCS was present ?
i.e. an RPM version can conflict with a compiled one.
A good thing to do is to edit the torcs launch script /usr/local/bin/torcs
and change the line:
$LIBDIR/torcs-bin -l $LOCAL_CONF -L $LIBDIR -D $DATADIR $*
by
ldd $LIBDIR/torcs-bin
this will display the libs used (and their path) so you can check if
the libs are really the one you think are used.

Data in $HOME/.torcs can be saved, I don't know if
the packages remove that when desintallation.

Mustafa,
You probably need to run the "make install" part as root user.
Otherwise, check for the existence of the "/usr/local/share" directory (but
it would be astonishing if it does not already exist).
