If you make use of the registration steps, the user account is created even if the user stops to fill in the steps.
For instance, if you set some fields as required in the step 3, and if you choose to save the data after each step, then if the user stops at step 2, the user account is created with those required field with blank values, even if he did not go to the end of the process.
The user creation should be made only if the user came to the end of the process, e.g. to the latest step.

when you edit a block example a custom block after you hit submit..you are redirect back to the first page of block administration where only system block are listed..you have to select from the drop down box at top of page to go back to custom block section

i think user should be redirect to custom block section automatically

suggestion: in default show all blocks in the first page of block admin..not just system blocks to avoid confusion

Summary: Mail all users bug

Initial Comment:
I think this is a bug. I have almost 500 registered 
users. I also have several users in other groups 
(Staff, Webmasters). When I use Mail Users, I can pm 
the other groups, but I can't mail my large group 
(registered users). It just hangs with no error 
message. 

Can anyone verify this problem? Also, can anyone help 
me fix it? I would appreciate it very much! Thanks --

Any changes in the administrator account changes the status to inactive i.e. sets the level in the users table to 0! Therefater the webmaster cannot login for logical reason.

The sf robot closed this thread.

Now I have checked (that the level is changed to 0 again in my
installation) before opening this bug tracker and have made sure that this
happens. I will have to hunt for the problem in detail and get back here
and describe under what condition this happens, since phppp could not
reproduce the bug.

The idea of the [code] tag is that this does not happens.

Summary: Installation of module fails if SQL file ends with a comment

If a module SQL file ends with a comment line then during module installation you get information that:

Summary: $ function in xoops.js can conflict in IE

Initial Comment:
Prototype (http://prototype.conio.net/) is a popular Ajax framework. When it is included in a xoops 2.0.16 website,  the "$" function defined in xoops.js can conflict with the "$" function defined in Prototype.  The failure occurs using Internet Explorer, both IE6 and IE7, but not using Firefox. Reordering the scripts is not a solution.  Renaming the xoops.js "$" function to "xoops$" is a simple and effective solution, and is consistent with the  naming convention used for the other functions defined in xoops.js.  (Prototype has its own naming conventions, e.g., using "$" as a prefix.)

I'm attaching my modifed xoops.js file (modified from the xoops 2.0.16 distriution).

My previously attached file had an error in it.  The "if ( typeof window.$
!= 'function' ) {" and "}" should not be surrounding the definition of the
"xoops$" function. I'm deleting the earlier attached file and attaching the
corrected xoops.js (xoops version 2.0.16).

The following routin works and the field gets configuren.

modules/profile/include/forms.php

            case "group":

            break;

            case "group_multi":
            $form->addElement(new XoopsFormSelectGroup(_PROFILE_AM_DEFAULT, 'field_default', true, $field->getVar('field_default', 'e'), 5, true));
            break;

However, it is useless. One cannot use those field on the front-office i.e. on the user side it does not show up. Permissions have been correct.
(Unless I made some mistakes!)

Summary: Problem with comment manager

Initial Comment:
I have found a problem with the comments system. If the
option approving for the administrator is select, next
is not possisble to approve the comment for admin in
comment manager. The admin can erase the comment.

I have tried at two different servers, in local and
with diferents xoops versions.

Somebody can reproduce this problem to confirm that is
a bug of the system?.
