'garbage' means inserted html code instead of clean output and XOOPS code. I have tested it several times and was able to reproduce it every time, with both Firefox and Konqueror. Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Xoops_Gold (xoops_gold) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Directory Name mapping: No visible module directory Initial Comment: Hallo! I just find it not the very best way to have module directory open by names. What if there is a directory detection routine that hovers through the directory, register their manes and works with it? Further, the index.php would be the one and only one visible to the visitor which in turn makes calls in the module_config and thereafter works out with the respective directory. Why should one see the name of a directory of a module at all? I could name it anything. Hence by this, the potential catch, for instance have downloads directory openly accessible for web, would be fully closed by the hackers... index.php?sub_routine&273894&execute_me&PHPSESSIONID=kjadfbiuga like that... 273894 = encrypted version of directory name ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=430843&aid=1451750&group_id=41586 |

Category: Core - Core Group: XOOPS 2.2.x Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Dave Lerner (dave_l) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Login block redirect fails Initial Comment: [2.2.3a-final] If you attempt to access a URL that requires being logged in, you get redirected to a page that contains both the Login block on the left, and the login form in the main content of the page. If you login successfully using the form in the main content, you get redirected correctly to the original URL. If you login succesfully using the login block, you do not get redirected to the original URL. The problem is that the value of the hidden form field xoops_redirect is set incorrectly. I'm attaching a patch that fixes the problem, at leats in the tests I performed. But the patch is quick & dirty. It would be better to re-examine how XOOPS redirecting works, and find a cleaner fix. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Dave Lerner (dave_l) Date: 2006-03-16 17:48 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=936559 This appears to be fixed in XOOPS 2.2.4. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=430840&aid=1449938&group_id=41586 |

Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Xoops_Gold (xoops_gold) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Hacks Initial Comment: Hallo! Adding Hacks is really difficult and has updating problems. Is it possible to develop tiers of Hooks from the database rather than having the need to add them into scripts, which makes only a programmed nightmare! Hence there should be a general way to divert index.php that makes calls for the hooks, and if there run the hook. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=430843&aid=1451741&group_id=41586 |

Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: other forum software also under attack by hackers ... Initial Comment: re the hacker comment by Herko: "I amnot sure what you're trying to express, but this seems to be an unrelated issue." related to the URL http://www.webhostingtalk.com/archive/thread/485302-1.html i am sure that comment is VERY relevant i sue a different forum software and we ( ALL known users ) have been attacked as well we had different files uploaded the purpose of such file can be seen from viewing the actual CODE of the file in my case it was a code used for UPLOADING and running a phishing site ON MY site ( forum space ) hence nothing funny at all the only way to find such "traces" was 1. host informed me of illegal activities and of illegal files involved 2. some or all of the files used by hackers - DIFFERENT file-names than the file-names posted - have been found in my access_log files during the weeks used by hackers WE - all the users from that OTHER forum software - had mostly the same filenames in at least one of our folders the entry point was a leak in a login procedure but also an UPLOAD feature the files were uploaded by a regular member then renamed using one of the files found and normally that one hacker admin file has a menu point "deleteme" means that under normal situations the hacker may delete all hsi uploaded files to erase any traces - except the access_log file entries we all found in earliest case one had such a hacker in august or o 2005 myself and others we had aroudn november 18 2005 lus again mid feb 2006 and feb 22 in all our cases php files were used to manage all hacker activities - a complete set the one posted on above URL may be one such set - just renamed therefor a public listing of the file names is contradictory to productiviy in securing the forum as hte hacker may simply rename fiels used and make it more difficult for us to find since fiding a full proifile with clear language email seems difficult this is a one times attempt to contact you if any quesiton pls use a fully verified email address directly related to xoops.com God bless hans www.kriyayoga.com owner/webmaster use my webmaster email to directly contact me for any further exchange of info in this hacker topic ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: phppp (phppp) Date: 2006-03-08 18:58 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1001493 Thank you hans, we are going to contact you ASAP ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=430840&aid=1445759&group_id=41586 |

Initial Comment: re the hacker comment by Herko: "I amnot sure what you're trying to express, but this seems to be an unrelated issue." related to the URL http://www.webhostingtalk.com/archive/thread/485302-1.html i am sure that comment is VERY relevant i sue a different forum software and we ( ALL known users ) have been attacked as well we had different files uploaded the purpose of such file can be seen from viewing the actual CODE of the file in my case it was a code used for UPLOADING and running a phishing site ON MY site ( forum space ) hence nothing funny at all the only way to find such "traces" was 1. host informed me of illegal activities and of illegal files involved 2. some or all of the files used by hackers - DIFFERENT file-names than the file-names posted - have been found in my access_log files during the weeks used by hackers WE - all the users from that OTHER forum software - had mostly the same filenames in at least one of our folders the entry point was a leak in a login procedure but also an UPLOAD feature the files were uploaded by a regular member then renamed using one of the files found and normally that one hacker admin file has a menu point "deleteme" means that under normal situations the hacker may delete all hsi uploaded files to erase any traces - except the access_log file entries we all found in earliest case one had such a hacker in august or o 2005 myself and others we had aroudn november 18 2005 lus again mid feb 2006 and feb 22 in all our cases php files were used to manage all hacker activities - a complete set the one posted on above URL may be one such set - just renamed therefor a public listing of the file names is contradictory to productiviy in securing the forum as hte hacker may simply rename fiels used and make it more difficult for us to find since fiding a full proifile with clear language email seems difficult this is a one times attempt to contact you if any quesiton pls use a fully verified email address directly related to xoops.com God bless hans www.kriyayoga.com owner/webmaster use my webmaster email to directly contact me for any further exchange of info in this hacker topic ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=430840&aid=1445759&group_id=41586 |

Category: None Group: None >Status: Deleted Resolution: Invalid Priority: 1 Submitted By: Xoops_Gold (xoops_gold) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: pm_link in xoops_user_profile Initial Comment: Hello! I have placed a message in the xoops forum but no one seemed to be interested to even discuss about it. Here is my observation: In the table xoops_user_profile, I had servere problems importing the data in the following field: pm_link This is a system field containing a default standard data as follows: <a href="javascript:openWithSelfMain('{X_URL}/modules/pm/pmlite.php?send2=1&to_userid={X_UID}', 'pmlite', 550, 450);" title="Eine Nachricht schreiben an {X_UNAME}"><img src="{X_URL}/modules/pm/images/pm.gif" alt="Eine Nachricht schreiben an {X_UNAME}" /></a> Now I find this fields a bit of too much. There could be certainly a better way of generating a pop-up for the pm_link, is'nt it? Looking at the extra-ordinary work by Skalpa, Mitrandir, phppp, etc. I think this link generation does not fit in the level of programming what you all guys are doing!!! ;-) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Xoops_Gold (xoops_gold) Date: 2006-03-03 17:45 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1329834 Hallo! What I wrote above is a complete garbage. I myself had inserted months ago while importing users into the profile tables as the import script did not work well. There was a problem with the pm link in the profiles page, which I do not remember correctly. Hence I close this thread and appoligise. I will get back and describe the problem, if I remember... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=430843&aid=1437947&group_id=41586 |
