Category: Core - install/upgrade Group: XOOPS 2.0.x Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 3 Private: No Submitted By: Dave Lerner (dave_l) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Warning message when trying to create cache/index.html Initial Comment: [XOOPS 1.0.17.1] After installing XOOPS, on the first visit to the administration page, two files are created: cache/adminmenu.php and cache/index.html Since cache/index.html is included in the distribution archive, it will normally already exist. On linux, cache.index.html will be owned by the user who extracted the distribution archive, and will typically not be publicly writable. When XOOPS, running as the web user, tries to create the file by opening it in write mode, the error message "failed open file" is displayed. Thee are a couple of possible solutions: 1. Check whether cache/index.html already exists before attempting to create it. Also, if it already exists, don't attempt to write to it. 2. Remove cache/index.html from the distribution archive. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: D.J. Category: Core - Core Group: XOOPS 2.0.x Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Can't edit user data given certain locale settings Initial Comment: The bug: In a XOOPS installation configured for spanish language, when trying to edit some user's info, even my own, nothing happens. The debug console shows a syntax error in a query. The cause: In Spain, we use comma instead of dot to separate decimals. So... 3.14 in english... ...is 3,14 in spanish. OK, when editing user's profile, timezone offset is inserted in the database in float format IN A WAY THAT CONSIDERS LOCALE SETTINGS, so it tries to insert... timezone_offset = 1,00, ...in the database, which causes a error. This is the code that causes the problem: file kernel/user.php, line 528 $sql = sprintf("UPDATE %s SET ........ timezone_offset = %.2f ....... And this is the fix: Ignore locale settings for this number. $sql = sprintf("UPDATE %s SET ........ timezone_offset = %.2F ........ Notice the only change is the we put an uppercase F timezone_offset = %.2F instead of the lowercase that was ther before. Now the bad news: it requires PHP 4.3.10 or higher. It works for me, but probably core team would prefer a more compatible solution. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=430840&aid=1799931&group_id=41586 |

Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Garrath (garrath_fr) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: little bug in all insert method of kernel's class Initial Comment: Sorry for my bad english... There is a little bug in all insert method on all object of xoops's kernel. And then this bug was in lot off module class i can see, because people copy their code from xoops code ;-) If you make this with any handler of kernel $toto = new anyhandler($db); $titi = $toto->create(...); $toto->insert($titi); ... $toto->insert($titi); you'll create two line in database. When you create $titi, $titi is flag as a New ($_isNew = true). On the insert method if $titi is flag as New, insert method make a sql insert order and then there is an new line create in DB. If you look the insert method, after the sql insert order, the $usNew flag is no move. Then if you make a nother $toto->insert($titi), there is an other sql insert order and no an update order. Some time this bug make an sql error, because you try to put 2 lines with the same key, some time you have just an other line on the table (that depend of table's structure) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Garrath (garrath_fr) Date: 2007-09-21 21:39 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1576365 Originator: YES yes i discover this bug when i help a friend who have generated his class by this tools, and then i go to the kernel and i see the same mistake ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Marcello "Suiço" (marcellobrandao) Date: 2007-09-21 05:55 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1740310 Originator: NO Yes I had already seen this problem too.
