CCC Challenge 15 : Use Traditional Colours

Good Morning Folks.  Time for another challenge at the Christmas Card Club.
This time is was the lovely Christines turn to choose, and she would like us to use Traditional Colours.   I do like this type of card anyway,  so I used my new Sue Wilson dies and  added a couple of Heartfelt Creation Poinsettias that I have had a few years now, the best stamps and I love you can die cut them too. Some Greenery just to finish it off,  and this just might be my family cards for Christmas this year.  The picture was taken outside and the mirri card did not get shadows.  Thank You Annie for that clever tip.   I really enjoyed creating this card and its been a while since I felt like that.  Hope you All enjoy your Sunday whatever your doing.   Hugs Rita xxxx

Hello

Hello my Dear Friends and Followers.
Its been a while since I felt well enough to do anything. The last few months have been pretty hard on us , but that's life I suppose.  The weather is so gorgeous now after the wet spell and that in itself is a boost to us all.

To day is an old round tray that I always loved and I made a cover with remnants and did a Crazy quilted cover. I backed it with a non- slip backing so its doesn't move. Great for drinks in the garden on a hot day. I did this for Fiskars Design team project and there is a small tutorial on the Fiskarettes site, the logo is on my side bar.  Some great Ideas from the rest of the team too, so please take a look.  We had a lovely family and friends meal out for Andrew's 80th Birthday last Friday, and I've added a few pictures of his big day, maybe a cuppa will be required before you start. xx.
I guess there will not be much crafting done if the weather stays like this, but we will all catch up again so get the sunshine while you can.  Hugs Rita xxx

Christmas Card Club. Challenge 14. Snowmen

Hello My dear friends and followers,  Thank You All so much for all the lovely Birthday Wishes, presents and cards, and the beautiful cards following the passing of my best friend Jan,  I still feel numb, but I know it will pass, but we were very close and much as her suffering is over, she has left a gap that cannot be filled.

However, on to the Christmas Card Club Challenge 14 that was chosen by the lovely Lorraine and she wanted Snowmen, sorry I misinterpreted as Snowman, sorry Lorraine.  This was a piece of Cross-stitch from many years ago and I thought I should make it into a card.  After matting on to the gold mirri card, my mind went blank and I could not think what to do with it.  So it is all layers and a die cuts to finish it off.  I need to try and pick myself up again and start crafting, I have been knitting a 3ply Vogue sweater for Carolyn's Christmas and it really is slow going, but I should be okay time wise.  Once again I thank you for your patience in bearing with me whilst I tended my friend the best way I could and that was being there with her until the end.   Be back soon.    Hugs Rita xxxx
