Well, I nearly forgot that I started a Tag for Sunday Stampers Challenge 229 on Monday night, so to-day I got it finished. I started out with a beautiful leaf embossing folder and distressed it all with beautiful shades of autumn. I used the die cut gate and leaves and coloured them also with Distress inks. The sentiment and acorns are from a stamp set by Sheena Douglas. I finished it off with a silk bow and used the inks again to colour the ribbon. I do enjoy the colours on the trees at this time of year, but most of the leaves are in piles in the garden and need constant clearing.
I am also entering my tag into Crafting for all Seasons Challenge "Falling Leaves" Hugs Rita xxx

Wedding Trio
Good Morning folks, I dearly hope all my friends in US are safe as this nightmare Hurricane Sandy rages through their beautiful country. I spent yesterday making this wedding card, with matching bag & gift wallet. The images and the backing papers are from Joanna Sheen CD 'Elegant Fans'. I used a Martha Stewart punch for the border on the card, then added some pearls. The corners are a Marianne die. It seems to be a favourite with many people too. Please stay safe & warm and enjoy some crafting time too. Hugs Rita xx

Enjoyable Day
Well, I had a fabulous day at the SECC in Glasgow yesterday. I left in the morning with Annie and her friend Val , of course we were not really needing anything and I bet you've all said that before. However, once we got there it was a different story. Everywhere was just oozing with Christmas and how the demonstrators still managed to be so cheery & helpful after 4 days beats me. We all had a good spend and arrived home just in time for dinner last night. So all in all a very happy day was had by the three of us. Now I'm off to make a wedding card, bag and gift wallet before 5 o'clock to-night. Hugs Rita xxx

Not an easy task when your not in the right frame of mind. However, I thought I'd let you see them . I'm off to the SECC in Glasgow to-morrow with Annie & her friend. So I'm looking forward to that. I hope you all enjoy your week-end too. Hugs Rita xxx

Baby card
Beautiful day here is Ayrshire to-day, the sun is shining brightly and the trees look lovely. Here is one of the baby cards I made, its an 8 X 8 and again using the Marianne Die, in fact I don't think I have used any die so much for different occasions. You can tell that I love it. This is a quick post as I'm going out to a Halloween party to-night with some friends. Its something a few weeks ago I could never have contemplated, so I'm putting my brave hat on to-night. Christmas Card
Hello my dear blogging friends, sorry I have not posted this week as it was very busy here. However, this is the card I started at Annies craft day and never got it finished. Its an 8 X 8 card and I used the large embossing folder Regal Swirls for my background. As you can see my centrepiece is that beautiful die from Marianne and I just love it, to that I added the die cut Noel and the 25 from TH. The holly is also from Marieanne, and to finish it off I added a green organza bow and some sparkling snow. I hope your all enjoying some crafty time. Now I must go as I've baby cards to create. Family Tags
To-day, I was looking at some photos of the tags that my daughter Carolyn & my grandchildren Hamish & Molly made last thursday when the weather was bad. I'm so proud of what they all achieved after a very swift lesson from me. Children have no fear when it comes to trying things new. I'm sure you'll agree that they all made a wonderful job of their tag. Enjoy your day. Hugs Rita xx

Hello Again
Well, my lovely visitors have all gone home and here I am trying to get back to normality, what ever that is. We all had a fantastic time and the house is so quiet now. My lovely daughter Anne had a craft day yesterday and it really perked me up so much. So to-day I am sharing a couple of cards that I made for a 90th birthday last week. Hope to do some catching up and visiting your blogs again. Hugs Rita xxxx

Poinsettia Card
Hell Folks, just a quick post from me to-day as I have been busy baking & cooking all morning as my youngest daughter arrives to-morrow with my 2 Grandchildren. It gives me more quality time with them if I'm a little bit organized. My card to-day was made on Friday using my favourite Marianne die of the monent again. The embossed background was the music folder by Sizzix. The poinsettia was cut out in vellum and I gave it some glitter. I,m slowly, very slowly catching up with some Christmas cards, but lots more to do. I'll try my best to pop in during the week when I can, and see what your all getting up to. We have a lovely day so far here in the West of Scotland to-day ,so I hope it lasts. Enjoy your Week-End. Hugs Rita xxx

Anniversary card.
Good Morning All, Its a little bit chillier here at the moment ,but the sky is blue and the sun is trying hard to get through. From my window I'm watching the trees change colour everyday, isn't nature wonderful. Well, to-day's card is for my friend as its her Anniversary next week. I've used hammered card for my base and added an embossed piece that I distressed with Aged Mahogany & Dusty Concord . My favourite Marianne die (LR0236 ) was used for the centre. The corners are also a Marianne die and the flowers were made with Mulberry paper and distressed in the colours I used previously. (These were the flowers that were on my WOYWW desk yesterday.) The butterfly was from a Crafty Individuals die and the ribbon from my much loved stash. Now I'm off to see if I can create a few more cards before my visitors arrive next week. Enjoy your Day whatever your up to, crafting or not. Hugs Rita xxx

So its over to The Stamping Ground and meet Miss Julia and let the world see what wer'e up to. Sorry I missed the last 2 weeks, but here I am making an effort this week. Not that I've been doing very much at all really, but I made a tag yesterday and to-day I have been making flowers ,its a great way to ease yourself back into crafting again. So now I'm off for a nosey round as many desks as I can this week. Enjoy your WOYWW day. Hugs Rita xx

Snowflakes
Hello again, feeling a lot better to-day so I thought I would try the Challenge 226 over at Sunday Stampers. The theme this week is Snowflakes and Hels has done the most beautiful tag using the distress metallics, but sadly I don't have them. However I have made a tag using two different embossing folders and distressing it with tumbled glass and chipped sapphire. I then sprayed it with the silver spray & sparkle to give it a lift. The large snowflake is a sizzix die and the smaller ones are from a woodware punch. I then glued and dipped them in Diamond Chips and its just a pity the photo does not show it too well. The sentiment is from a set by Sheena Douglass. I added a few gems to the snowflakes and tied it up with silver string. Hope you are all enjoying some me time to-day and getting time to craft. Hugs Rita xx

Christmas Wall Hanging
Hello again, sorry I have not been blogging much recently. I think things just got too much for me. However, to-day's offering is a cross-stitch I finished last year, but could not make up my mind to frame it or make a wall-hanging. Its pretty big at 20" X 17" so as it will only be displayed for a few weeks each year I decided on the wall-hanging. I've edged it with a lovely red cord and it gives it a lovely finish. To-day I am going to make a card and try and find my Mr Mojo again. Thank-you to all my lovely friends and family for supporting me in the last few weeks. Hugs Rita xxxx
This is it finished, you can hardly see the little gold stitches on the background.
A close up of the cross-stitch.
