Hello my blogging friends and Welcome to my new followers too. I'm a wee bit late with my Sunday Stamper's Challenge 220 this week, but never mind I made in time. Hels Sheridan has chosen 'Green' for this weeks theme and to be honest its not a colour I use very much. I chose to do a tag and picked out the TH green Distress Inks for my background, I then sprayed it with Radiant Rain shimmer mists in Lemon Drop & Persimmon. I stamped the sentiment with Black Archival ink, added a few butterflys and one of my own make flowers, using the Crealie dies. I hope you all enjoy a nice week-end whatever your doing. Thank-You again for all the lovely comments left on my blog as it really makes crafting all worthwhile. Hugs Rita xx

Vintage Romance
Hi everyone, here is a card that I made using the resist technique as shown on page 41 in Compendium of Curiosities Vol 2. I started out on a tag using grunge paper, using picket fence I stamped my image a Paper Artsy ( Young Love) stamps and they are wonderful to stamp with. And once it was dry I inked with Distress inks . I then added some black ribbon and a bow. I put a piece of heavy black lace along the bottom edge and added a few roses. the base card is an 8X8 cream card and I matted it with a piece of wine paper, the background I edged with black soot, then I stamped a few swirls before adding some lace embroidered leaves to the corners. The beautiful die cuts are memory box swirls and really enhance any card. I added a few grey pearls to finish. Thank-You again for the lovely comments and I really do appreciate them all. Enjoy yor day whatever you do. Hugs Rita xx

Vintage Card
Hi to all my crafty friends. Its a very mixed day here in Ayrshire, sunshine & showers. To day is also the local Marymass Festival that has been going on for hundreds of years, so the town itself has been busy. My card to-day was relatively easy to make, using the beautiful Frame M-Bossiblitites folder (EL-018). After embossing the piece of card I carefully cut out the shaped centre, then I used perfect medium to dab all over the embossing and brushed on some Perfect Pearls,Blue Patina, Green Patina and Pewter, the effect is stunning ,but sadly I could not pick it up with the camera. I cut out a piece of vintage paper that was a freebie( sorry I forgot the name where I saved from ). I added some micro beads around the framed edge to highlight it a bit. The embellishments were Memory Box & Spellbinders Dies, finished off with red roses from my stash. Thank-you all for visiting my blog and I hope you have a brilliant week-end.

My Special Book
My youngest daughter brought this book back from one of her cruises. She actually worked on cruise ships for around 7 years and visited lots of interesting countries around the world. The book was for my birthday a good few years ago and all I know it was made by an artist from Prince Edward Island. Seemingly the winters there don't have many daylight hours and lots of the women turn there hands to crafts of many kinds. I always wondered what the process for doing these books was like, as it looks as if they have used a few different techniques to create the finished item. The front has a lovely varnished finish Hoping that someone might know how it all started as its a beautiful book with a fabulous textured cover. Hope you enjoy seeing my precious book. Any help on it would be gratefully received too. Hugs Rita xxx

Punk Rocker
Good Morning Peeps. Not so nice to-day in the West Coast of Scotland, but at least I have a card to show you. Over at Sunday Stampers Challenge 219 the theme is Steam Punk. As you will see I got taken in a slightly different direction because the title " I Wish I was a Punk Rocker" got into my head and it would not shift. I started out with the masking tape technique and used Distress Stain to colour the tape. once it had dried off I sprayed it with pearl mist and added some crackle accents to parts of my piece. Now for the fun part, I distressd the large clock face and I added a piece of gold net underneath. All this time I was singing the title song, so chains, keys & safety pins came to mind. I coloured some wooden alphabet letters with Alchohol inks ready to add to my finished piece. The frame at the top I used the rusting technique from Crafty Notions, I added to this my letters and a few embellishments. I also crackled the small wheels too. What a Fun Challenge it was, Thanks to Hels and the great themes she gives us at SS. I hope you All enjoy your Day. Apart from tired and sore limbs, I feel so much better to-day. Hugs Rita xxxx

White Christmas
Well, No I'm not taking leave of my senses, nor am I doing a long range forecast. I'm certainly feeling lots better than a couple of days ago and at least I am back in my craft room again. The Challenge over at Joan's Gardens this week is a white christmas card. As most of you will know I find it hard to create CAS cards anyway, so this was a real challenge for me. I started off with a tent card and added the snowflake embossing folder card. Then I used some die cuts that were a RAK years ago now, so I have no idea who created them. To finish off I added a Merry Christmas embossong folder. I was so tempted to add a red nose to rudolph mind you. Hope you are all enjoying the sunshine and of course your crafting too.
Hugs to you All. Rita xxxx

Baby Boom
Its ages since I was asked to make a baby card and now I have been asked to make another one. This one is an 8 X 8 card using a spellbinders templete and adding some decoupage and finishing off with some WO roses and some ribbon I now have a baby card. Not had the best day, but I'm certainly a good bit better than I was. I'm finding it very hard to focus sometimes and its not a good thing for a crafter. Hope you are all enjoying the sunshine and long may it continue. Thanks again for all the kind comments left on my blog. Hugs Rita xx

Baby Card
Hello all you lovely people. Sorry for taking so long to make a card as I have been a bit under the weather since coming back from my holidays, however, things are looking a bit better and I managed to make a kit card for a new baby girl. I promise I will be back amongst you again soon, so please put up with me for just a little longer. I have not felt able to visit either, but I am going to start afresh to-day. Hugs Rita xxx

Hello my Friends
Hello Everyone. Got home from holidays last Monday and had a Wonderful time. I did a lot of walking and sightseeing on my own as Andrew's legs were really painful and he did not manage to get about very much at all. However, he did enjoy sitting in the garden.. Since getting back I have not been feeling to great and quite weak at times, so hopefully its nothing more than a virus and I feel better soon. Here are some photos that were taken whilst roaming the Haddington countryside. Hope you have all been enjoying your crafting and keeping up with the challenges. Speak to you soon again. Hugs Rita xxx
