A Little Vintage

Good Morning All. Hope you enjoyed a lovely weekend whatever you did. I had a non-crafting week-end really, although I was knitting and sewing.  However, I managed a card for you to-day. The 8x8 card was part of my blog candy from Carol at CM.Design and is beautiful pewter colour. The image came from Astrid's Friday Freebies. I made the flower from a Crealies die, the beautiful lace was a collar I used when making my bears and the sentiment was from Artistic Outpost.I added a few pearls to finish it off and I'm really very pleased with the finished card .  The lovely little easel was a lovely surprise from my friend Anne.  Hope you all have a crafty day.  Hugs Rita xxx

21st Birthday Card

Well, we have another bleak day here in Scotland and it looks as if its here for the week-end too.  My card to-day is a Betty Boop birthday card .  Its 8X8 square and an Easel card too. I used the backing papers that matched the decoupage image and highlighted the image with silver glamour dust  ( it is there on all the feathers etc.) Lots of Bling on this one too. Like most of my large cards it comes with its own bag, made by myself.  Hope you are well and up to crafting to-day and those of you not so well please keep warm and safe.  Hugs Rita xxx.
Thank-you all for the lovely comments left on my blog, I always try to return the compliment.

WOYWW. Week151

Here we are again folks. Time of the week when we get to snoop around everyone's desks over at the lovely Julia's Stamping Ground. I'm so sorry I only got round about a quarter of desks since last week as I have been busy with life in general. Sometimes it gets in the road of our crafting at times. Not a lot to show this week, just putting the finishing touches to an 8X8 easel card.  The rest of my craft room needs lots of things put back in their place too. Got some new Andy Skinner stamps, but have not had a chance to play so far. OH also put up my Magnetic board, so I managed to put some dies on it too, but I need another one now and more magnetic sheets, certainly a lot easier to use when they are in front of you. The picture was  given to me by my best friend for my Birthday a few years ago, so it fits in with WOYWW.  Enjoy your Day.  Hugs from Scotland. Rita xx

Sunday Stampers Challenge 202. Summer

Hello everyone, I hope you all enjoyed your week-end.  This week over at Sunday Stampers the Theme is Summer, so I have made a tag and put to-gether all the things I love about summer. Birds singing and flowers, butterflies etc. I used an embossing folder for my background as it looked like a cornfield. I added lots of distress inks to change the colours as I went along. Finished off with lace, pearls and gems. I made the rose using stamps from Hearfelt creations. Hope you all have a lovely day. Sun is shining here at the moment. Hugs Rita xx

All your lovely comments are so much appreciated.

Wedding Card and Matching Bag

Hello my friends. Sorry to being AWOL for a couple of days, my poor hand stops me from finishing things as quickly as I would like, not that its sore, just very awkward. Anyway, here is the Wedding card and Bag that I was working on since Wednesday. I used White hammered card as my base  for both card and bag. I love this image from Joanna Sheen's Elegant Fans CD rom.  Lots of Dies used in this one as you can see, and loads of pearls to finish it off.  Hope you enjoy what I've done.  Have a great week-end everyone.  Hugs Rita xxxx

WOYWW 150

Over to Julia at WOYWW this morning and I wonder where the week has gone. Well, as most of you know I was away last week and had the most marvelous time with my daughter and grandchildren, not to leave out my lovely son-in-law who did most of the cooking all week to let us roam about. Anyway, " Back to auld claes and porridge as we say in Scotland " when we are back to normal everyday chores etc. I am making a wedding card and matching bag, so the card is nearly finished. Not too messy to show this morning.   Hope you all have a great WOYWW day.  Hugs Rita xxx

How can I possibly work in such a small space, I wonder ??? give me a minute .......
As you can see this desk is not too bad as yet ,but its early. Time for me to invade this space.  xx

Sunday Stampers Challenge 201. "Men"

Finally I managed some me time in my craft room. I usually try and do Hels Sunday Stampers Challenge on a Sunday, but this week it just flew past and I never got any crafting done at all. However, this week's challenge is "Men " and I have masked a tag with TH stamps and distress inks to give it a rusty look. I then took the look a bit further and Rusted up some chipboard alphabets using Acrylic Wax and Rusting powder. I dusted it off with cosmic shimmer mica powder in bronze & gold to give it some shine. I dyed some string in rusty colours to give it a more authentic look.  Note to self, I need some male stamps.  Hope you enjoy your day ,whether or not your crafting.  Hugs Rita xxx

Hello Everyone

Hi Peeps, Just back from our trip to see our youngest daughter and family who stay in Haddington .near Edinburgh, had a super week of fun and crafting with my grandchildren. I also spent a lovely afternoon with Carol of CM Design on Wednesday and saw her beautiful Siberian Husky called Freya.  When we arrived  Carol  had got Mr Generator to pick her blog candy and it stopped at number 37 and to my great surprise it was mine, what gorgeous blog candy it was too. Carol had also made a lovely card for the winner and I took a piccie to let you see.  Also went on a trip on Tuesday to Hobbycraft as I had never been there, boy what a store is was too, a real Alladin's cave of crafty things.  Then on Thursday we went to Ikea and bought lots of storage bits and pieces, as we have no crafty stores near us at all I made the most of it. So all in all a great time was had by all.             Hugs Rita xxx

This is Carol's beautiful card.

I'll Take your Word for It.

I certainly will, LOL. This is the new bi-weekly Challenge over at Frilly & Funkie and of the theme is I'll take your word for it. I hope you will support them in their new venture and enjoy another challenge.  I started with a cream tag, and distressed and dusted it with bronze Cosmic Shimmer dust. I then stamped my image ,distressed it and crackled it to make a little more interesting. I love my word stamp, so could not resist stamping it on the bottom of my tag. Added a few little flowers and a button and my tag was finished.  Really I did not intend to craft to-day as I have zillions of things needing done, but you know how easily we get distracted.  Hope you all have a lovely Easter Week-end too.  Hugs Rita xxx

Thank-You all for the lovely comments you leave on my blog and to my lovely followers for being so loyal.

I just added a close up of the crackled imaged

WOYWW

Good Morning everyone, after having snow yesterday the sun is back and the sky is blue and its Wednesday again and time to show the world whats on your desk. Mine as you can see is very much 'Work in Progress' this week. Really did not do much crafting yesterday as my hands were sore. So to-day I aim to finish the roses I started on Monday. I won't be able to be with you all next week as I'm going away for a few days to see my younger daughter & grandchildren. Hope you all have a successful crafty week.  I forgot to say my new Distress Ink holder arrived last Friday and its the best thing since sliced bread.  It closes up like a wardrobe for taking around.   Hugs fro a Sunny Scotland.  Rita xxx     Have a Good Week.

Sunday Stampers Challenge 199. Theme Transport

Had a fairly busy day to-day. But took a little time out of household chores to take part in Sunday Stamper's challenge. This week the theme is Transport and its something I am not very familiar with. In fact the only car on my tag is one of the first rubber stamps that I bought, so after stamping it and cutting it out ,windows as well. I distressed it with aged mahogany and black soot.  I started out with a manilla coloured tag and its very hard to get colour on it, I stamped some script here and there added a few bits and pieces then added my car and this is how it turned out.   Hope you've all had a productive day whatever you were doing.   Thank-You again for looking at my Tag and any comments you may like to leave.  Hugs Rita xxx
