60th Birthday Card

Hello again Folks. Yes, its me again with another card. This time it is a 60th Birthday card that I was asked to make specially from a Mother to Daughter.  I used an 8 X 8 card  and made a frame from white card before deciding to add a very pale pink backing. I made the flowers as asked and added the new Sue Wilson flourishes dies, the pink corners were from Marianne dies and finished off with a pink organza ribbon bow.   I made a box with an acetate aperture so that the card could be seen through the box.  The Mother was overjoyed when she picked it up and that was enough for me.  Love it when you choose the right things.  Lots to do here at the moment and will tell you later what I am up to, still a secret though so my lips are sealed.  Hope you All have nice Day.  Hugs Rita xxx

CCC Challenge 6. Using 2 or more papers

Hello Everyone, well another two weeks have gone by and I'm afraid I did not manage to blog.  However, the Christmas Card Club Challenge 6 was chosen by Gran Margaret and she wanted us to show a card using two or more papers.  My preference with this was my favourite Graphic 45 Happy Holidays using 3 papers from the pad.   Christmas is an exciting time for children and I hope this shows in my card.  Beautiful Sunshine here today, so maybe I should spend some time in the garden tidying up of course.  Now off to see what the others have done.  Have a Good Day everyone.  Hugs Rita xxxx

Christmas Card Club. Challenge 5 : For Someone Special

Hello Folks, Once again two weeks have gone past and its time for Challenge 5 over at the CCC. The theme is a card for someone Special at Christmas and was chosen by the lovely Zoe.
My offering is an 8 X 8 card in Gold and White as it really looks special to me although it could be for male or female at this point in time.  Mostly dies with this one and the lovely sentiment I got on Friday at the SECC Hobbycrafts show in Glasgow.  Met up with a few friends and the lovely Kate Currie who is a CCC member too.   Really enjoyed the break as its been a few years since I was there.  Hope you like my card.   Take Care and I'll be back soon.  Hugs Rita xxxx
