Special Friend Birthday Card
Good Morning Peeps, Sorry I have been neglecting you all, but I had so much to do before going away this week-end I needed to keep the PC switched off. So you will have to bear with me till I return in 2 week's time. Anyway, to-day is a Birthday of a very dear friend and one that I'm sure you all know. Yes, of course its Redanne, she has always been such an inspiration to many of us who blog, and is always first to comment on most peoples blogs. My card to-day is the one I made specially for Anne, but now she has recieved it, I can show it on my blog. So " Happy Birthday" again Anne and I hope you have a wonderful day. Hugs Rita xx

Clocking In
Hello my dear friends in Blogland. Getting excited now as its days away from our 2 weeks holidays. I will try and keep in touch if I can. Here is the birthday card I made for my lovely SIL. I was a bit disappointed with it in one way as the background did not turn out the way I'd visualised. I was using the can of air etc on white card, but my lovely daughter Annie has now told me it should have been on silk card or similar. Oh well, he liked it anyway, as my time is limited just now. Isn't this weather dreadful, so unsettled and not at all like summertime. Hugs to you All. Rita xx

Book Card
Hello my crafty friends. I like to say welcome to my recent followers and hope they return for a visit every now and then. My post for to-day is the concertina book card I made for my DH birthday, which is to-day. Jo of Jozart who is one of our fellow crafter's gave me the idea although it took me a wee while to get to grips with it ,but once I had started it all fell into place. You do need a bit of patience though actually making all the accordian folds. I used heavy card for the book part itself and distressed it down all the folds. The card was covered in BP from a Mini Deco book that I have had for a few years. I added on lots of bits and pieces all on a 'Time' theme as he is 76 and looking back we are glad to have enjoyed lots of time to-gether. One week to go before our holidays and lots of birthday cards and anniversary cards still to make, along with other household things. The list is forever growing. Hope you all enjoy your Week-End. Hugs Rita xxx

Wedding card
Hello again, well I have enjoyed a few days off from crafting, but like most of you I just had to craft. Welcome to my new followers and I hope you find something that will inspire you on my blog.
To-day's card is a digi image from Saturated Canary called 'Marry Me ' that I have used before, but I am trying hard to get the shading right with Promarkers that I decided to do it again. Cardstock is white hammered card layered with pink pearlecent card. I used my Marianne emboss & cut folder to add another layer before adding the bride. The little bow on the dress and the sleeves were finished off by adding clear micro beads and I will now take the card to the beads instead of beads to card as they flew around everywhere. The flower was mainly a punch added to some Marianne dies again, you can tell I love those. Isn't the weather appalling for the time of year, even our Autumn is better than this, says she hopefully. Hope you are all well and busy crafting. Hugs Rita xx
Thanks to Everyone for the lovely comments you leave on my blog.

Just a quick post to say Thank-you to everyone for the lovely cards and Birthday Wishes that have been sent to me for my 73rd Birthday to-day. I will post a picture to-morrow of all my cards etc. I'm enjoying my day, but worrying too about the floods on the East coast where our younger daughter and family stay. Here is a picture sent a few hours ago to my phone. Haddington. East Lothian taken this morning after the banks of the river Tyne burst. I pray that they stay safe and anyone else who has flooding to-day. Speak to you All soon. Hugs Rita xx

60th Birthday Card & Bag
Hello folks, Well the sun is shining brightly here to-day and its very warm too. I really hope it lasts. Anyway, my card to-day is an 8 X 8 60th Birthday Card. My card is white and layered with turquoise. I used another piece of white card and die cut the corners with the Anja Rose die, I actually had to buy 2 of them as one is no use when it came to embossing. I then overstamped with Inkylicious Summer Morn stamps using versamark smokey grey ink. I edged the bottom with white lace and added a strip of SP Lace Doily accents. Dies again were used to make the centrepiece with teal & turquoise card. The verse stamp is also on the Summer Morn stamp set. I then added some swirls, leaves and flowers. The yellow Gardenia in the centre was one I made myself, and the smaller ones are from Wild Orchid. As with most of my large cards I made a matching bag. Off to do some ironing now as needs must sometimes. Enjoy your Day and Thank-You again for your lovely comments and the friendship we share with each other. Hugs Rita xx

WOYWW week 161
Hello Folks, well now we are in to July and still no sunshine to speak of here in Scotland. Another Wednesday over at Miss Julia's Stamping Ground to see what you've all been up this week. Sorry I was unable to join you last week for multiple reasons, so apologies over and here I am back amongst my friends again for a day of snooping and catching up. My desk is not the worst I have seen it, as most of you know I work between to desks anyway and this was my chosen one to-day, yes, the other one is tidy. Lots of July & August birthdays coming up ,so I have to get them all done before our holiday. Hopefully you have all had a decent week and managed to get some crafty things created. Hugs from Scotland. Rita xx
I cannot remember if I have shown all the ATC card swaps I recieved for the 3rd Anniversary

Time goes by....
Hi Folks, Hope you all had a great week-end. We went through to Haddington, nr Edinburgh yesterday to visit our younger daughter & her family. I certainly enjoyed myself as lots of crafting was going on in their house. My son-in-law did all the cooking and the meals were so delicious too. My Daughter, Grandaughter ( 9) and myself spent most of the day crafting. My Grandsom (12) was learning Zentangles. It was late before we returned last night and of course I had to see what the Sunday-Stampers Challenge 212 was for this week. 'Silver ' was the chosen theme and Hel's has created the most beautiful tag. So this morning I started to create my card, and as I am always looking for time, this is what came to me. My base card is a 6" X 6" white hammered card that I edged with my trusty Pen-Touch silver pen. Since I had bubble wrap from a parcel sitting beside me, I wrapped a piece around my acrylic block, added some dried marigold ink and stamped the background on a piece of white card, Brilliant, it worked. I used a recently acquired Paper Artsy stamp that I love and used it to stamp over the background. I then used a Crafty Individual stamp and distressed it with Scattered Straw, Salty Ocean & Frayed Burlap, cut around it and matted it on to a silver die cut . A few embellishments from my stash was added to complete the card.
I'm still managing to sew, crochet and make some cards before our holiday on the 23rd July. Got some sewing to do this afternoon whilst watching Wimbledon and our own Andy Murray play in the next round.
Thank-You all for the lovely comments left on my blog and I'll always try to return them. Hugs Rita xx
