New Capability for Jira Integration in Salesforce Workflows: Option to select Source Branches and Release tickets

Opsera’s latest update to Git to Git Merge Sync Task allows users to alternatively select source branch instead of default feature branch to migrate metadata across branches. This expanded selection empowers development teams to have better control over which code changes are being integrated into different branches, facilitating smoother collaboration and reducing the chances of conflicts or errors. Previously, users were limited to selecting only the feature branches associated with the selected Jira tickets

Moreover, the option to select release tickets within the migration feature provides organizations with enhanced validation in their workflows. By capturing package XML at the release Jira ticket level, organizations can maintain detailed records of changes associated with each release, facilitating better tracking and management of software updates. In addition, users can now select multiple Jira projects for a single task, with the limit being up to 5 projects. For more info, read here. Note: This is currently supported for Git to Git Merge Sync Task Configuration.

New Capability to View Live Salesforce Deployment Summary in Opsera Pipelines Opsera now offers a feature that allows users to conveniently monitor ongoing deployments directly from Pipelines. Users can analyze the total number of deployed components through chart views and access detailed information on the success and failure rates of component deployment. This real-time visibility enables users to promptly identify any issues or bottlenecks during the deployment process. For more info, read here.

Note: This functionality is only available until the step completion is over.

SDLC and DevSecOps

Introducing Migration of Workflow from Jenkins to GitHub Actions With Opsera tasks, you can automatically transfer your existing Jenkins workflows to GitHub Actions. The task, upon execution, analyzes your Jenkins workflows and provides YAML files that may be used to build new GitHub Actions processes.

This migration workflow simplifies the process of moving projects, pipelines, and configurations from Jenkins to GitHub Actions, enabling users to leverage the capabilities of GitHub’s CI/CD platform without having to recreate everything from scratch. For more info, read here.

Capability to view Copilot License Activity in Opsera’s Copilot Reports

The Copilot License Activity metric enables you to review the GitHub Copilot usage in your organization to make informed decisions about seat assignment. This information encompasses all Copilot seat assignments for the organization that are currently being billed, including both active seats and those pending cancellation at the start of the next billing cycle.

Insights from the license activity can help in efficient allocation of Copilot seats within the organization based on actual usage patterns. The metric data is aggregated once a day by Opsera, ensuring that organizations have up-to-date information on their license activity. For more info, read here.
