Enhanced Visualization for New Workflow Editor

Opsera has introduced a powerful upgrade to the new Pipeline Workflow Editor (Beta), designed to elevate flexibility, usability, and control for DevOps teams. Users can tailor their pipeline management experience to match their workflow complexity and screen preferences.

  • Dynamic Visualization Options: Choose how you visualize your pipeline with two intuitive layout modes:

  • Horizontal View: Stages flow left-to-right, with parallel steps stacked vertically within each stage. Ideal for multi-stage workflows, debugging dependencies, or managing complex pipelines.

  • Vertical View (Default): Retains the classic top-to-bottom flow for compact, space-efficient viewing. Perfect for smaller screens, quick edits, or multitasking in split-screen setups.

  • Enhanced Editor Controls: New icon-driven tools put precision and flexibility at your fingertips:

  • Zoom In/Out : Focus on granular details or gain a holistic view of your pipeline.

  • Standard Size Reset: Instantly revert to the default zoom level with one click.

  • Toggle Layout: Seamlessly switch between Horizontal and Vertical views without disrupting your workflow.

  • Consolidated Configuration Panel: Simplify pipeline management with a unified side drawer that centralizes all critical settings Step Setup, Settings and Notifications

Introducing Sequential Step Creation for Pipeline Workflows in Opsera

Linear workflow design has been simplified with the introduction of the new Sequential Step Creation feature. The intuitive “+” icon can be clicked at any point in the workflow to add a step, and it is ensured by Opsera that each step is run only after the completion of the previous one, thereby eliminating accidental parallelization.

Two Ways to Add Steps:

  • “+ New Step” Button: Adds a step as the first step by default. If a dependency is selected, it inserts the step after the chosen dependency.

  • “+” Icon on Workflow Arrows: Click directly on the arrow between steps to insert a new step exactly at that position (e.g., between “Build” and “Test”).

This automatic sequencing reduces setup time. Whether you’re crafting simple scripts or complex approval chains, Opsera’s one-click design ensures precision and simplicity.

JFrog Artifactory Integration for Signed Android Builds

Opsera supports signed Android builds in JFrog Artifactory, allowing for automated artifact management in your Android pipelines.

This capability allows the JFrog Artifactory step to automatically detect signed Android artifacts (APK/AAB) generated in the build workspace, using predefined file paths and upload them directly to your Artifactory instance. To use this capability, simply add the JFrog Artifactory Maven step to your pipeline after the Android build step. The tool’s predefined identifier simplifies configuration, and no manual path mapping is required, as artifacts from the build workspace are auto-detected. This streamlines compliance by securely storing signed builds in Artifactory, ready for deployment or approval gates.

Please ensure that your Android build generates signed artifacts, and support is limited to APK/AAB formats.

Salesforce

Enhanced Salesforce Standard Object & Field Support in Merge Sync Tasks

We’ve improved Opsera’s Salesforce integration to simplify how you work with Standard Objects and Standard Fields during Salesforce-to-Git Merge Sync and Git-to-Git merge sync tasks.

When executing merge sync tasks, you can exclusively select Standard Objects and their Standard Fields in the sync wizard. This now reduces the default list of components being displayed in the component selection screen, which do not have the last modified date. This automatically filters out non-editable system fields, letting you focus only on components you can customize. By aligning with Salesforce’s rules, we ensure compliance while reducing clutter and accidental syncs of read-only metadata.

Streamlined Salesforce Merge Sync

A streamlined process has been introduced for the Merge Sync workflow to save time and reduce complexity.

After selecting files, users can click the new “Proceed to Confirmation” button to skip the editor screen and jump directly to a summary of all changes. This summary highlights modified files, new additions, and conflicts, allowing you to resolve issues upfront. Once reviewed, you can finalize the merge in one step.

This is ideal for:

  • Straightforward tasks where speed matters.

  • Advanced users can still dive into detailed adjustments if needed.

Please note that the “Proceed to Confirmation” option activates only when files are selected, avoiding incomplete merges.

Enhanced Transparency with Audit Logs for Policy Setups in Opsera

To strengthen governance and accountability, Opsera has introduced Audit Logs for Policy Setups, for tracking policy changes across your organization. All policies configured under “Policy Settings” now include detailed audit logs, enabling users to:

  • Track Historical Changes: View timestamps and user details for every policy creation, modification, or deletion.

  • Monitor Actions: Users can filter logs by date, action type (create/update/delete), or user, and export records for audits or reviews.
