There’s a big brouhaha over a Washington Post article by Taylor Lorenz revealing the identity of the obscure lady who runs the popular Twitter account @LibsOfTikTok. Apparently, people send her links to the most fashionably demented videos people post to Tik Tok and she curates an entertaining selection.
Printing her name and linking to her address in the Washington Post add nothing to the story but are effective pour encourager les autres: if you are thinking about having a pro-Republican anonymous social media account where you post true stuff, remember what Jeff Bezos’s newspaper did to this other person who tried that?
Meanwhile, another example of doxxing is getting less publicity. On Monday I linked to Justice Sotomayor’s dissent in which she was angry that a white man was allowed to serve on a jury despite him answering truthfully. Justice Sotomayor wrote:
Prior to trial, prospective members of the jury filled out a questionnaire that included the following questions:
“68. Do you sometimes personally harbor bias against members of certain races or ethnic groups?
“69. Do you believe that some races and/or ethnic groups tend to be more violent than others?”
To the first question, No. 68, the prospective juror at issue answered, “No.” But to the second question, No. 69, he answered, “Yes.” He explained that “[s]tatistics show more violent crimes are committed by certain races. I believe in statistics.”
That this citizen told the truth made Sotomayor very mad. But at least Sotomayor didn’t doxx the juror.
But Slate and a couple of other publications did. In his article “A Racist Juror Helped Send a Black Man to Death Row. Why Doesn’t SCOTUS Care?” Mark Joseph Stern printed the name of the juror, a completely obscure private citizen. So, for the rest of the poor guy’s life, his name entered into a search engine will bring up Stern’s foaming at the mouth article.
Hours, days, or weeks?
For once I think tit-for-tat should apply: Dox the doxxers. Whoever was in on it should have their private email, social media, etc, opened up and shared by retrogrades who believe in simple fairness.
"DOXING THE DOXERS: Half-Egyptian Rich Kid SPLC Enforcer Michael Edison Hayden Is A Weirdo. What Else Is New?"

"Doxing the Doxers: Leftist Enforcer Jared Holt, Up Close and Personal—A Few Things He’d Prefer You Not To Know"
"Doxing The Doxers: Antifa’s War Against Regular Americans Is Run By Spoiled Rich Kids".

Doubling down is one of those terms that may seem neutral on its face, but in modern discourse has become negative. From common usage, it seems to mean “to insist on a course of action despite knowing it is wrong”.
For liberals who argue that cancelling isn’t a real phenomena and the few people who lost their livelihoods truly deserve it, this is their true motivation, not that they would admit it. The vast majority of censorship that occurs in public discourse is self-imposed.
The mistake that this juror made was being truthful. As any Russian can tell you, in any dealings with a totalitarian state you are expected to lie. Everybody lies under such a regime - the state lies to you, you lie to them, it's all lies up and down the line.
When you see a questionnaire like this, it's quite obvious what answers they are seeking. If you really wanted to serve on this jury (maybe in order to see to it that the family of Kendra Hatcher receives justice), give them what they want - just check the "right" box and move on. No, I do it impersonally against them all.
They do this to make it appear that the harm of being your average liberal lemming and someone who knows better look the same. The goal is to knock you down several pegs to the point of where you might as well have lived like a liberal your whole life. Leftists do indeed get harmed constantly by their own doing, not that will change anything. But they’d rather try and ruin the lives of people who vocally don’t do what they do, to make the consequences look like a wash.
I don’t believe that there is still a rich insulated liberal class anymore. That may have been true a generation ago, but anyone left in that category would be in a much tinier cohort, and would be a LOT richer (as in ruling class).
Look at all the dogshit terrible advice our lovely government has given people for the last thirty years, the last three in particular. Its a recipe for abject poverty, for starters, which is why I think upper class liberal bled off a while ago. They finally get to be the real deal now, I guess.
Imagine your average eighteen year old mush brain take out a five-figure student loan and dabble on marijuana and xanax in college for muh anxiety issues. Then they end having a rehab stint for fentanyl addiction shortly after. Now imagine the parents divorced long before this, and that they both got away relatively light by only having ten thousand dollars each going to some slimy lawyer. At least one ends up trying to pay for a child’s rehab too. This is not a creator of family wealth.
For teenage girls, hooking up with some black and being a single mother with a halfrican before senior graduation essentially signs you over to poverty for life.
These are not made-up situations. In fact its quite common.
The vast majority of our young people in the US wipeout before they even turn twenty now. And it had nothing to do with angering the state. In a lot of cases they were well within the overton window, if not outright encouraged to do the things they did.
Anyone who doesn’t do these things is inevitably going to be in a lot better shape, but its getting harder to disseminate that information. In the case of the jury thing, I imagine its going to escalate from where you can be successful silently in this country to overt questioning by the state to see if you agree with them or not. I don’t even know what I’d do at that stage.
Once middle class, now the kids of the arsehat divorced parents are clawing to trailer trash status
Not a smart move, but not decisive.

There is a good chance a Sotomayor staffer was Slate’s source in doxxing the juror’s name. I am sure the wise Latina would have approved.
From here on out the next doxxing story will include a better looking chick than the Taylor goblin and some mention of my nude frolics in public spaces otherwise it doesn't warrant a second of Art Deco's attention.
The juror's name appears in the defendant's appeal to the Supreme Court which is available on the Court's website. The lower court opinion is also available on the web and contains this gem:
"After he was booked into the Dallas County Jail on a capital murder charge Appellant called his girlfriend who asked him why he would keep the gun. Appellant responded, "I don't know, man. Stupid as fuck." She later said, "If you shot that girl with that gun, you should've . . . [thrown] it away or something." Appellant replied, "I know, man, I know. Too late now though.""
Slate! Whudda surprise! Slate (like Vox, The Gray Rag and WaPo) consists of True Believers. Move along folks, nothing new here.
I would think the court would take interest in this evil and hand out some consequences.
Or is the rot that deep?
They did this here in Utah, when some hacker released a list of people who had donated to (the now officially (and actually) innocent) Kyle Rittenhouse’s defense fund. A paramedic used his government email account to donate ten whole dollars to Rittenhouse’s defense fund, and ABC 4 News – the worst rated TV news in the Salt Lake market – showed up at his house to interrogate him. No one answered the door, but they still showed his house on television.
Another famous incident was the gay, batshit crazy Pennsylvania state legislator from Philadelphia who harassed a mother and her 13 and 15 year old daughters who were protesting at an abortion clinic and asked his Twitter viewers to find out their names and addresses.

True dat, plus there are variations that may be called “encouraged” censorship, or maybe something like “consensual” censorship.
We recently had a celebrity doc speak here. He bills at $50-$200 thousand per appearance, and part of his fee was paid for by a local health care-related do-gooder foundation. Contrary to established practice, audience questions were barred, and the interlocutor, a non-journalist medical doctor, tossed only puffball questions his way. The message was clear that pesky questions about America’s miserable pandemic performance were not to be entertained.
Is it really doxxing when the guy’s name was actually in the Supreme Court decision? It’s mean, petty, and vile, but not actually doxxing.

The Slate article about the juror says:
It just occurred to me that the other 11, presumably non-racist (or they would have objected) jurors agreed with the “racist” and also voted to impose the death penalty, so maybe Kristopher Love’s REAL problem is not racist jurors but that he killed someone and now has to answer for it.
The whole idea that a case is “tainted” because 1 juror is somehow flawed is ridiculous. If that juror is “tainted”, then disregard his vote and the other 11 jurors still agree, so crank up Old Sparky anyway. We have a ridiculous system in America where we supposedly have a death penalty but we never carry it out or only after decades because we have set up these impossible shit tests where you can never get to the point where you can actually carry out the penalty that is on the books. In recent years the more conservative S. Ct. has taken to turning down these ridiculous endless cert petitions. Sometime the same guy will appeal his sentence 5 or 6 times and if he’s lucky die of old age while his case is still “in the courts”.

Summary of Incident

Co-Defendants
Brenda Delgado and Crystal Cortes
Race and Gender of Victim
White female (I will “dox” her – her name was Kendra Hatcher.)
Actually, this was not a simple robbery. Hatcher had a new boyfriend who had an obsessive ex, Brenda Delgado. She hired Love to ambush and kill Hatcher. He was a contract killer.
Texas agreed not to seek the death penalty against Delgado as part of the deal to extradite her from Mexico, where she had fled after being let out on bail. Instead she got life without parole.
You would probably love it.
You people are vile as well as stupid.
Our great cultural problem is that the people in control of our major institutions insist everyone conduct themselves according to the rules and assumptions of an alternate reality that does not exist because they find the world as it is intolerable. In large part this is because all the social engineering of the last 60 years that were supposed to birth this alternate reality into existence have failed, so being out of actual solutions we are supposed to participate in a tissue of lies in which they are the arbiters of what is right and just and what must be punished.

Jack, first thank you for the follow up and yes the death sentence in this country is a hoax. Life without parole does not mean what I thought it meant, in the sense that the perp never can be set free. Former California Gov. Jerry Brown, pardoned or commuted the sentences of a number of murderers. Not paroled, but commuted or pardoned, who knew?
In a totalitarian state, you are not supposed to double down on your WRONG beliefs, you are supposed to repent your sins and beg forgiveness.

It is a bit like the question in the US naturalization application about whether you have even engaged in prostitution.
If you answered "yes" to this question, it could be considered to be an indication of what the US calls 'moral turpitude' and your application, while not disqualified, could be put on hold for 3-5 years to allow for a period of repentance and rehabilitation to make yourself morally cleansed and worthy of being a US citizen.
Therefore, while immigration attorneys no doubt tell their clients to tell the truth, I doubt whether they actively exhort their clients to dig deep into their memories for any peccadillo.
The same might apply to the jury question about whether you have ever been sexually abused, which came up in the Ghislaine Maxwell trial. If you want to serve on a jury so that you can play your part in sending a rich Jewish sexual abuser to hell, you are probably going to answer 'no' to this question.Replies: @Art Deco, @Bill Jones

That would be one John Tatum, who signed that selfsame pleading with what I assume is a business address of XXX ..., and Texas state bar number 19672500? Been practicing since 1974, according to the Texas state bar, which would put him in his 70s at least. Maybe he's too senile to know what he did, and it was some eager young intern. Or maybe he's a Boomer true believer, who knows.
More generally, courts are enamored of the idea that there's some First Amendment right to know everything that happens in a court proceeding unless the judge seals it for some super important reason. Yet another dippy progressive conceit that might have made sense in a (largely imaginary) past where a man's word was his bond and everyone recognized the value of a man's candor and his stern adherence to duty. In reality, appeals to sunlight as the best disinfectant were always just one more selectively applied way to enable mob action in service of The Current Thing.Replies: @Steve Sailer

When a prospective juror fills out a questionnaire in the US, do the answers they give become a matter of public record? It certainly sounds that way.
Another way of saying this is “Are you a human being?”
You mean like how the media evidently think white men are predisposed to be more violent than other groups?
Eastern Standard Time. The guy is just a kulak to Stern. A disposable member of a class slated for liquidation. A casual googling of his name reveals that Stern (who is homosexual – of course) is kind of the Taylor Lorenz of the legal profession.
And in any article mentioning the odious Taylor Lorenz, it bears repeating this immutable fact: That Taylor Lorenz is a total piece of human garbage.

Whites still believe in the fantasy that the other side should play by the old rules. They don’t, and they won’t.
They hate you and want your life destroyed at best, you dead at worst.
The other side isn’t going to quit. You either fight back or you become a helot. Hand-wringing over doxxing is stupid. Of course, an opponent of the ruling class was doxxed. You don’t get to hide anymore.
In my own life, I’m trying to get together a core group that have the same beliefs. I’ve also openly cut off neighbors and family who are Woke and anti-white. Make them pay a price. You want to have a “We believe” sign in your yard. Fine. You’re no longer welcome at neighborhood parties. You want to spout anti-white slogans. Fine. You’re no longer welcome at Thanksgiving.
If that sounds small, you’re wrong. It’s a huge shot across the bows. These people have never had anyone push back, even in a small way. They are stunned. For the first time, they realize that their actions, their words, can cause them trouble.
Don’t forget the most outrageous large-scale doxx — when The Journal News in 2012 printed the names and addresses of Westchester and Rockland County gun owners. And outraged residents understandably struck back. As NYT reported on the blowback:
Awwww, too damn bad, got a taste of their own medicine. (And I’m a former newspaper editor!) While whining about the angry public, the JN continued to insist it had done the right thing. BTW my mostly Republican county laudably refused to supply the gun info.

When you see a questionnaire like this, it’s quite obvious what answers they are seeking.
It is a bit like the question in the US naturalization application about whether you have even engaged in prostitution.
If you answered “yes” to this question, it could be considered to be an indication of what the US calls ‘moral turpitude’ and your application, while not disqualified, could be put on hold for 3-5 years to allow for a period of repentance and rehabilitation to make yourself morally cleansed and worthy of being a US citizen.
If you want to serve on a jury so that you can play your part in sending a rich Jewish sexual abuser to hell, you are probably going to answer ‘no’ to this question.
You're worthy of being an American citizen if (1) you've lived here lawfully for the majority of your natural life and (2) you can pass a civics test given in English - with written and oral components and (3) you sign a written statement in front of a magistrate renouncing your previous citizenship (copies to be sent to the consulates of said country and (4) are administered an oath. No this is not required at this time, regrettably.

The juror name is not in the Supreme Court opinion by Sotomayor. It is not in the Texas appellate decision either. It could be in the briefs, I did not check.
The juror name has been published by CNN, CBS, and other news sources.
Actually the juror's last name appears briefly. Apparently they have some weird rule in Texas that since the judge gave the defense two extra preemptory challenges that means the judge can wrongfully deny two challenges for cause. So the lower court didn't consider whether the judges refusal to grant a challenge for cause was correct (as they had already determined at most 2 denials were incorrect).
This is fine, obviously, as it is truthful. But the Slate article seems to imply that the juror in question then said something to the effect of “nonwhite races” being “more violent.”
Did he actually say that? If so, that is inaccurate. East Asians have something like half to quarter the rate of homicide in the U.S. as whites do. If he meant blacks and Hispanics (but Hispanics is an ethnicity, not a race, of course), that’d be truthful. Either way, the article does the scary quotes around “nonwhite race” and “more violent,” but doesn’t quote the entire sentence the juror in question allegedly uttered. Does anyone have more information?
The whole idea that a case is "tainted" because 1 juror is somehow flawed is ridiculous. If that juror is "tainted", then disregard his vote and the other 11 jurors still agree, so crank up Old Sparky anyway. Sometime the same guy will appeal his sentence 5 or 6 times and if he's lucky die of old age while his case is still "in the courts".
Here is the Texas Dept. of Corrections summary for Mr. Love:
Prior Occupation
Aspiring RapperUnknownPrior Prison Record
12 arrests involving 6 violent offenses--Twice X/Tennessee on an indeterminate sentence for Evade Arrest/Detention, Reckless Injury With Weapon and for Aggravated Robbery
Summary of Incident
On September 2, 2015, Kristopher Love robbed, shot, and killed a pediatric dentist in Dallas.
Co-Defendants
Brenda Delgado and Crystal Cortes
Race and Gender of Victim
White female (I will "dox" her - her name was Kendra Hatcher.)
Instead she got life without parole.Replies: @Buffalo Joe, @Pop Warner, @obwandiyag
Slate committed libel against the juror, and they should be sued into bankruptcy. Of course, the courts threw out objectivity years ago, but they should really be hurt for that.
See?
You have to look at this in context. A black guy was on trial. The only “non-white race” anyone was concerned with was blacks. His answer, mentioning “non-white” races, was just a (less than accurate) effort to be polite and not utter the B-word. As we just saw with the NY subway shooter, the honorific title Black must never be sullied by associating it with bad things like violence. Supreme Court Justices are Black, subway shooters are “dark skinned”.
The reason they were asking that specifically (aside from trying to lay little traps for a death penalty appeal) was that the Texas statute lists, as a factor to be considered in imposing the death penalty, whether the defendant is likely to commit violent crime in the future. So arguably, if you are of the belief that blacks are more likely to commit violent crimes, you are more likely to impose the death penalty on blacks than on whites and therefore a racist who has tainted the jury. Notice that nowhere in this little chain of logic does the question of whether blacks are IN FACT more likely to commit violent crimes come into play.
As you can see from Sotomayor’s opinion and from the Slate article, truth is not a defense to the crime of “racism” and “racism” is a felony that makes you ineligible for jury service in their world (while actual felons should be allowed to vote).
If he said, "nonwhite raceS," presumably he meant more than just blacks. In any case, I don't trust the selective quotes in the Slate article, so I wanted to know if someone had actual extended quotes from the juror.Replies: @Bill Jones
Are you mind-reading again?

The fact that the wily chinee prefers nonviolence doesn't alter the fact that if the question divides the country into Whites and others, the others are more violent.
Wokeism is an ideology that teaches and glorifies hatred directed at non-woke white people. So it should not be too surprising when we see such hateful behavior. These people actually revel in the moral superiority of their cruelty and hatred.
Most of these woke savages are white, but their wokeness gives them an out. That is, according to the woke belief system, being woke (or becoming a de facto racist “anti-racist”) absolves ordinary whites and even whites with actual privilege of their “sin of whiteness and the sin of their white privilege.”
It’s an attractive gig, join us and you will get to feel better about yourself. Plus, if it’s your thing, you might even get the chance to wreck some lives or, eventually, even bash some heads. Just make sure that you are cruel to the right people. This will make you special.
I suspect that behaviors of “journalists” have become particularly vicious, because of the rise of social media, the increasing ideological polarization, the prominence of personal branding, etc.
But there is also another dynamic. In the past, most journalists were rather blue collar-ish and workman-like. Journalism wasn’t a particularly glamorous or elite profession and it required a lot of leg work and dealing with the dregs of society.
Now, however, journalists like to think of themselves as a part of the meritocratic elite and the arbiters of good taste in society. Yet, they are still not – income-wise – elites in any sense of that word. So they appear to suffer from what David Brooks once called the status-income disequilibrium: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Status%E2%80%93income_disequilibrium
This tends to make the sufferers of SID, just as journalists, at once arrogant and resentful and makes them prone to vicious, self-serving behaviors while engaging in self-pity and sympathy-seeking.
By the way, the opposite of SID is ISD – income-status disequilibrium, e.g. a master plumber or even a dentist who has a high income, but low social status (“nobody”).

What keeps us safe is impotence. We are not a threat to the regime. Furthermore, there is a limit to the power of propaganda to make someone into a threat. The Eye of Soros needs to focus on one individual to trigger the Two Minutes of Hate. The human mind has limited bandwidth. It can only receive so much information. It can process less. It can act on little. The regime can’t cancel all of us because it runs up against the physical limitations of its enforcement mechanism, namely social ostracism by regime friendly allies with the attention span of a chicken.
Even if we were all known as thought criminals, we would be safe unless our name was randomly chosen as the object of that day’s rage. It would need to be a really slow news day for that to happen. The Eye of Soros barely winks at Steve anymore. The new big thing is, “Dark MAGA”

The only notable female Taylor before this century was pop novelist Taylor Caldwell. (Who would have crossed paths with George Patton in some of their many past lives, so there’s that.)

As I have detailed before, Korematsu (group internment) is the law of the land. In Trump v. Hawaii, Korematsu was sufficiently before the court to have been overruled; ah, that magic word, “Overruled!”; more definitive than even a Will Smith slap. But lawful. But the Roberts court weaseled with “overruled by history.” It might be that war with Russia will provide the predicate for triggering the remedy of the wartime Korematsu case. He is being kind; most people have not one, but several such things. (I am the CEO of that club.) The reason why I would not like to be doxed is not that someone would show up at my door. The reason is that one or more of these truly stupid things done might get out. Proust wrote before media doxing existed, but if it had existed, Proust would have included in his famous quotation the doxing scenario, expanding personal isolated pain to include the pain of public disclosure.
It seems inevitable at this point.
Stern retweeted this.
57 years ago, Connecticut went to the Supreme Court to defend her 1879 Comstock law banning the sale or distribution of contraceptives, which prevented Planned Parenthood from setting up shop there. The latter relied on the assistance of the ACLU in getting it overturned.
Now Messrs Stern and Cohen are crowing about Rep Blumenthal’s effort to have the Consternation State do the full 180°. Those who (and there are many here) decry Jewish corruption of morals yet themselves still defend “a woman’s right to choose” are engaging in Olympic gold-medal-level cognitive dissonance.
Stern wrote that article himself, so no wonder he retweeted it. What year did “retweet” enter the dictionary? “Rockin’ Robin” (1958) just came over the Muzak. It’s full of retweets.

What gave me pause is the specification that the parakeets are adopted. How retrograde is that? These two need to get with the program. I want to see them delivering parakeets the old-fashioned way, and then “chest feeding” them the way they’re supposed to.

Fair point.
The Daily Beast essentially lighted up a giant media flare over Gonzalo Lira alerting the Ukrainians that this guy is serious trouble. (Look at the number of views from this recent interview.)
That hit piece (no pun intended😨) marked Lira as a enemy VIP in the ongoing propaganda war in Ukraine. That’s a fairly long article meant both to discredit Lira while simultaneously spiking Lira to near the top of Zelenskyy‘s shit list. They don’t spill that much ink for anyone. If the Ukrainian secret police were looking for him before, they soon brought out the real bloodhounds after that article was published.

In the animal shelter context it means a dog that was an stray or surrendered by an human that is available for adoption.
“There is a good chance a Sotomayor staffer was Slate’s source in doxxing the juror’s name. I am sure the wise Latina would have approved.”
The juror’s name appears in the defendant’s appeal to the Supreme Court which is available on the Court’s website. The lower court opinion is also available on the web and contains this gem:
“After he was booked into the Dallas County Jail on a capital murder charge Appellant called his girlfriend who asked him why he would keep the gun. Appellant responded, “I don’t know, man. Stupid as fuck.” She later said, “If you shot that girl with that gun, you should’ve . . . [thrown] it away or something.” Appellant replied, “I know, man, I know. Too late now though.””
I know. It was a joke intending to convey the idea that the dog was better off in the shelter than under the care of Stern.

As a result of the Daily Beast doxxing, he has been kidnapped and murdered by the Ukrainians.

“… It is not in the Texas appellate decision either. ..”
Actually the juror’s last name appears briefly. Apparently they have some weird rule in Texas that since the judge gave the defense two extra preemptory challenges that means the judge can wrongfully deny two challenges for cause. So the lower court didn’t consider whether the judges refusal to grant a challenge for cause was correct (as they had already determined at most 2 denials were incorrect).

I’m tempted to ask what that even means but it sounds like an alleyway not worth exploring.
The whole idea that a case is "tainted" because 1 juror is somehow flawed is ridiculous. If that juror is "tainted", then disregard his vote and the other 11 jurors still agree, so crank up Old Sparky anyway. Sometime the same guy will appeal his sentence 5 or 6 times and if he's lucky die of old age while his case is still "in the courts".

The system is built around a narrative about hidden hordes of racists. Any action that you speak of proves them right and gives the ambitious a chance to gain status by punching a nazi. Remember Charlottesville? The Capitol protest? What do you think it would happen to a major pro-Proud Boys protest in New York City? Lots of provocations from glow feds, huge leftist counter rally, violent antifa bussed from around the country, a hostile police force looking to arrest protestors and judges eager to punish them harshly.
Democracy is dead and so is justice. Any useful action must be taken either in a well thought manner (e.g. hold the protest in an area with sympathetic politicians and police) or in the shadows. Otherwise you are just making the enemy stronger.

While Dorothy Kilgallen was well-known, it doesn’t necessarily follow that she was high status. She was famously despised by Jack Paar and Frank Sinatra and once she started asking too many questions about the death of JFK she herself had an unfortunate incident in November 1965, leading to her death at 52 by acute ethanol and barbiturate intoxication. She got her job because her father was a famous reporter who didn’t die until 1982.

If questioned then double down on your CORRECT beliefs. PC beliefs are so idiotic that even an AI bot can reproduce them. "Well, race does not exist in the first place, so how could it even be possible for one "race" to be more violent than another "race"?
If you display correct beliefs then you not only should but you MUST double down, triple down, as many X down on these beliefs as necessary to tamp down the cognitive dissonance. When Steve tweeted the murder stats for blacks vs. whites, others tweeted back , "Well, that was MURDER, it doesn't prove that blacks are more VIOLENT." It's like the Putinists - you are never going to convince these folks no matter what facts you present to them because their beliefs are quasi-religious and not rooted in fact.Replies: @Greta Handel, @Jonathan Mason, @Dumbo, @ScarletNumber

and once she started asking too many questions about the death of JFK she herself had an unfortunate incident in November 1965,
She didn’t know squat about the Kennedy Assassination. Her one odd intervention in the case was scoring a private interview with Jack Ruby. The book she was working on at the time of her death was a compendium of accounts of murder trials she’d attended, Ruby’s trial being one. There was no exposé forthcoming.
You have two options in regard to her death: that she took one two many sleeping pills and had one too many drinks or that her husband spiked a drink with a mess of barbituates in it. Her family’s embarrassed silence since 1965 suggests they suspected the latter. Her body was found by a hairdresser who did house calls, had her on his client list, and had appeared for a scheduled appointment, setting up his equipment in an adjoining room he used as a makeshift salon. By some accounts, he told the authorities that the bedroom in which he found her was one he’d never seen her occupy before. Other features of the scene suggested it had been staged.
The finding was that she died of "moderate" alcohol and barbiturate overdose, which is consistent with the "one too many" accidental overdose theory. If you were trying to knock someone off, you would give them a strong dose. One too many might also be one too few and if they survived they might ask questions.

It’s hard to infer meaning from silence. They could also be embarrassed that she committed suicide or that she was a secret alcoholic and stupid and accidentally killed herself.

If you were going to stage someone’s death, wouldn’t you put her in her usual bedroom?
She didn't commit suicide. The woman was frenetically active and no one who interacted with her on the day of her death (and that included John Charles Daly and the rest of the crew on What's My Line?) reported any despondency at all. She was having marital problems. She'd always been the primary earner in her household. Her husband hadn't had f/t employment in six years at that point and hadn't been employed at all in two and appeared to his son to be going down the alcoholic drain. There are also sketchy reports he was cheating on her. (The accounts that she was cheating on him are not credible). Her husband was a candidate for suicide. She was not.
The man who found her was someone who had regular appointments with her and was let in as usual by her household staff. He sets up his equipment as usual, opens the door to the adjoining room and there she is in bed dead. The whole mise en scene was odd - she was upright, she was in a nightgown, she had a book near her (a book that others reported she'd already read), she wasn't wearing her reading glasses, &c.
Dominick Dunne was a personal friend of Eleanor Kilgallan, close enough that he felt at liberty to ask her, decades after the fact, what she thought had happened. She was vocally annoyed with him for asking and gave him no answer. There was something the Kilgallans did not want to talk about, and it wasn't suicide. Her niece and her older children have offered nothing for attribution. Her younger son has offered an account of the sequence of events that day as he saw it. He said he was pulled out of school, escorted home by their housekeeper, who then presented him to his father. He said his father was in an upstairs sitting room in his pyjamas, catatonically drunk - awake but unable to utter a word.

Her father's reputation in the Hearst organization was with scant doubt helpful in getting her hired, but she made her mark within three years and was more prominent than her father from 1947 onward. Her sister was a prominent talent agent.
She wasn't a sourpuss on What's My Line, just marginally less appealing than Arlene Francis. She was a journalist, not an actress.Replies: @ScarletNumber
Proving my point that she rode her father’s name to success then her husband’s.

I’ve been following Gonzalo Lira since all this started, are they sure he’s dead? Last word I got was at the UK site where it was still “missing with lots of rumors”.
Absolutely certain the Ukies wanted to kill him though. Hope not.
The juror name has been published by CNN, CBS, and other news sources.Replies: @James B. Shearer, @Paperback Writer
You’re right, thanks. She refers to him as “prospective juror” throughout.
So Stern is more of a punk than I thought. But… I still don’t think it’s classical doxxing. It’s more like doxxing-adjacent, as the kids would say, because Stern didn’t publish his address. But these things are easily looked up.

Democracy is dead and so is justice. Any useful action must be taken either in a well thought manner (e.g. hold the protest in an area with sympathetic politicians and police) or in the shadows. Otherwise you are just making the enemy stronger.Replies: @Achmed E. Newman
I don’t know. I’ve got a feeling we’re going to find some of this out though. Right now, they’ve got another big distraction, the Ukraine/Russia war. At some point, when the people on our side have less to lose – which WILL be the case based on immutable economic laws – there will be more hell-raising.
Lira wasn’t going after the audience of the NYT or CNN. That’s largely a lost cause. It’s difficult to peel off readers/listeners from those MSM outlets much less obtain subscriptions/donations from them.
He was providing info to the alternative news arena. Most Daily Beast readers had no idea who he was or what his messaging consisted of. But because the MSM has increasingly become an active propaganda outlet and suppressor of free speech they just couldn’t help themselves and scrag another fellow journalist.
The finding was that she died of "moderate" alcohol and barbiturate overdose, which is consistent with the "one too many" accidental overdose theory. If you were trying to knock someone off, you would give them a strong dose. One too many might also be one too few and if they survived they might ask questions.
One of the reasons that they no longer prescribe barbiturates as sleeping pills is that, especially in combination with alcohol (and a LOT of people drink alcohol) it tends to suppress your breathing. leading to frequent accidental death (as well as being a popular way of committing suicide. The list of celebrities who died of barbiturate overdose is a mile long:If you were going to stage someone's death, wouldn't you put her in her usual bedroom?Replies: @Art Deco
That’s the summary statement of the coroner offered at the time. Unless I’m terribly confused, the writer Lee Israel (I know, an unreliable creature) in the course of composing her biography of Kilgallan managed to secure permission to have some of the leftover tissue samples from her autopsy tested. My memory may be failing me, but IIRC, the technicians who tested the sample found traces of 11 different drugs in her system. I’m not aware of the composition of over the counter or prescription sleeping pills, but I cannot imagine that any two of them have 11 different active compounds in them.
She didn’t commit suicide. The woman was frenetically active and no one who interacted with her on the day of her death (and that included John Charles Daly and the rest of the crew on What’s My Line?) reported any despondency at all. She was having marital problems. She’d always been the primary earner in her household. Her husband hadn’t had f/t employment in six years at that point and hadn’t been employed at all in two and appeared to his son to be going down the alcoholic drain.
The whole mise en scene was odd – she was upright, she was in a nightgown, she had a book near her (a book that others reported she’d already read), she wasn’t wearing her reading glasses, &c.
Dominick Dunne was a personal friend of Eleanor Kilgallan, close enough that he felt at liberty to ask her, decades after the fact, what she thought had happened. She was vocally annoyed with him for asking and gave him no answer. There was something the Kilgallans did not want to talk about, and it wasn’t suicide. Her niece and her older children have offered nothing for attribution. Her younger son has offered an account of the sequence of events that day as he saw it. He said he was pulled out of school, escorted home by their housekeeper, who then presented him to his father. He said his father was in an upstairs sitting room in his pyjamas, catatonically drunk – awake but unable to utter a word.

Lira was not a “journalist” in any meaningful sense – if the MSM are themselves propaganda outlets then he was a propagandist on a whole ‘nother level.
I realize that to some people here the “alternative news arena” represents just another POV that is different from the MSM (maybe in their topsy turvy world, the MSM is the propaganda and Lira is the pravda) , but there has to be a line where “alternative news” ends and outright falsehoods begin.
Apparently Lira is alive and well although possibly under some form of house arrest in Kharkiv. In any case the cruel Ukrainian “Nazis” have not executed him and left his body in the street like the Russian “anti-fascists” do.

Speaking of being alive and (not so) well, Putin and Shoigu made a live appearance on TV the other day and neither of them looked very healthy. Putin looked like he was holding on to the table in order to remain upright and Shoigu read/mumbled from a script. The whole sight was rather pathetic. Russians are not really a smiley bunch but if this was the “victory” announcement for Mariupol the optics were not very victorious. I would give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that they were both just drunk as Russians are wont to do but Putin is known not to be a drinker.

We really need to get rid of the geriatric clowns who send young men to die everywhere (including the US). There is a thing in cults (like Mormon polygamists) where the older male leaders push the young men out because they don’t want them competing for the females – this must be deeply rooted in primate behavior. There should be some fairly low age limit on leadership. Old, wise heads could be advisors but the man in charge should be young enough to attract women on his own without having to kill off the youth.

The problem is that doxxing leftists doesn’t accomplish much, unless you can uncover their saying or doing something deemed “problematic” by other leftists.
Conservatives are rarely able to cancel leftists, and few are mentally ill enough to actually harm them. Snarky tweets and dank memes are the worst doxxed leftists must endure.
Shoigu looked alright. Putin’s posture was peculiar; he also gripped the table for 11 minutes straight. The scuttlebutt is he’s trying to conceal a tremor.
