Hi Pietro,

it's the recommended way to open an error report at http://sourceforge.net/p/scidb/bugs/, because it requires some interaction for solving the problem with opening the database, and solving the problem which kind of error has happened.

At the first glance it seems that writing the game data has failed for any reason - this has to be explored -, and it might be possible to restore an older version of this game.

When opening an error report please take into account that currently I can only work sporadically, and I hope that I will have full time again for working in November. (Currently I'm in a difficult life situation.)

does anyone know a way to look inside the .sci file, or open them in a readable way?In truth, I need to recover one specific game from a database: some error happened while I was saving it (after a few and smal changes) and now I cannot open it anymore (due to the error I copy below). Only this game is corrupted in the entire database, so I am looking for a way to recover it.
