I've just committed revision 1081, this version contains many bug-fixes, and is dedicated for the next intermediate release. This version also contains one additional feature: the PGN export of games now allows to restrict the languages of the comments to the selected languages (tab "Comments" in export dialog). This is also possible for the export of the whole database to PGN. Of course this will be provided only for database formats with multilingual support, like .sci and .cbh. Please report if any problem occurs. Many thanks to all who helped to find and fix bugs! Gregor |

Hi Gregor, I can try to build the Scidb portable version (probably with AppImageKit). I can also start the Scidb package build process (32 and 64 bit). Yes, this is a great idea. Any volunteer who want to do this? Please regard: 1. The latest repository version is not yet very stable, but I'm about to release a new stable version soon. But the packaging needs experience, and the latest repository version is good enough for some experiments with packaging. 2. The freedesktop.org stuff (application icons, additional mime types, association of default applications to these mime types) has to be triggered when the package will be installed, it seems not to be possible to pre-install this stuff (inside the package) in a portable way. The volunteer has to find out how this can be done. But it's not a disaster if the triggering of the freedesktop.org installation is not possible. Cheers, Gregor |

Hi, I second kaissa's opinion that a portable version of Scidb would be a great. Thanks. -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: ka...@ly... Gesendet: Mo. 02.11.2015 17:58 An: sci...@li... Betreff: [Scidb-users] Portable scidb? Hello, I still haven't found any Linux that installs or compiles scidb out-of-the-box. I wonder if any user would do a portable scidb? It's a matter of hours, probably less for a skilled linux user: http://portablelinuxapps.org/ The portable application might also work in Windows running virtual Linux. -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht Ende----- --- Alle Postfächer an einem Ort.
