Abstract

1,218,146. Vehicle wheels. C. H. W. BULLENS. and J. H. BULLENS. 3 April, 1969 [9 April, 1968], No. 17569/69. Heading B7C. A wheel for perambulators, tricycles and the like comprises a hub 2 with a resilient, synthetic resin sleeve 5 extending radially therefrom and a pin 12, 13 slidable in the sleeve and urged by spring 17 to engage a groove 14 in axle 15, the sleeve having a groove 10 securing a cap 11 and the outer end of the pin having a knob 16 for raising the pin to release the wheel. The hub has end flanges 3, 4 and a synthetic resin bearing 1 for the axle. In a modification, the hub, bearing and sleeve are integrally moulded in a synthetic resin and the flanges are secured thereto.
