Abstract

1,028,861. Wheel cover discs. N. RYCROFT. Oct. 26, 1964 [Sept. 21, 1963], No. 37209/63. Heading B7C. A wheel cover disc comprises an annular outer member 13 relatively rotatably secured to a centre piece 10 by bending tabs 131 about an undercut formed round the inboard periphery of the centre piece. An anti-friction washer 14, e.g. of fibre, is fitted between the two components. Motifs 15 (Fig. 7) or ribs 101 (Fig. 8) provide finger grips which facilitate rotation of the centre piece for screwing a bolt 11. The bolt 11 secures the cover disc to an adaptor shell 12 as disclosed in Specification 793,465 (Fig. 7) or to an integral protuberance 16 of the wheel load-supporting disc (Fig. 8). A badge 103 masks the head of the bolt 11.
