Abstract

929,561. Spring wheels. J. D. W. GREGG. Oct. 15, 1959 [July 17, 1958; Feb. 19, 1959], Nos. 23032/58 and 5761/59. Class 144 (1). A spring wheel comprises a rim 1 and a spring hub structure composed of a plate 14, secured to a brake drum (not shown ) or a driving shaft 17, and a collar 13 so mounted relative to the plate 14 that it can move only angularly relative thereto, the plate 14 and collar 13 being connected by a pair of compression springs 16 and the rim 1 being connected to the hub structure by telescopic, inclined spokes 12 secured to the collar 13 and by telescopic limbs 15 connecting the spokes 12 with the plate 14. In an alternative arrangement the spokes 12 and links 15 may be attached respectively to the plate 14 and collar 13.
