1,151,548. Pneumatic conveyers. KOMPLEX NAGYBERENDEZESEK EXPORT IMPORT VALLALATA. 2 Sept., 1966 [17 Sept., 1965], No. 39291/66. Heading B8A. Apparatus for feeding powder continuously into a water stream in a duct 12 comprises a storage container 8 connected by a valve 7 to a charging container 4 which is connected by a valve 6 to a sealed hopper 1 having an airpermeable floor 2 and an outlet pipe 3. Compressed air is fed to the hopper 1 and container 4 through valves 17, 16 and a compensating pipe 14 with a valve 25 connects the hopper 1 and container 4. In operation, the hopper 1 is filled with powder to the level A and is pressurized through the valve 17. The container 4 is filled from the container 8, the valve 6 being closed. When the powder in the hopper descends below the level B, the valves 7, 21 close and the valve 16 opens to equalize the pressure in the container 4 and hopper 1. When valves 16, 25 open, powder flows from the container 4 into the hopper 1 through the valve 6 until the powder reaches the level A. All the valves are controlled automatically except valves 17, 18 which are hand-operated.
