Description
- Die vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich auf Verbesserungen einer Injektionsvorrichtung und insbesondere auf Verbesserungen einer tragbaren Injektionsvorrichtung zum Spenden geregelter Mengen eines Medikaments.
- Üblicherweise werden solche Injektionsvorrichtungen von denjenigen verwendet, die an Diabetes leiden, um sich selbst eine Dosis Insulin oder eines Medikaments vom Insulintyp zu verabreichen. Es ist verständlich, dass solche Injektionsvorrichtungen für die Injektion von anderen Medikamenten geeignet sind.
- Früher wurden solche Dosen unter Verwendung einer Wegwerfspritze verabreicht, wobei die Spritze zuerst aus einer separaten Ampulle oder einem anderen Behälter gefüllt wurde und dann verwendet wurde, um die Dosis zu injizieren. Es bestand jedoch eine Anzahl von Schwierigkeiten bei einer solchen Anordnung. Insbesondere war eine solche Anordnung nicht für Patienten geeignet. Für andere machte das gesellschaftliche Stigma, das mit solchen Spritzen verbunden ist, ihre öffentliche Verwendung problematisch.
- Um diese Schwierigkeiten zu überwinden, wurde eine Anzahl von so genannten schreibstiftartigen Injektoren entwickelt. Diese Vorrichtungen sind klein, wobei sie in einer Jackentasche oder ähnlichem getragen werden können, und erlauben es, eine Anzahl von Dosen aus einer Kartusche oder Ampulle zu erhalten, die in dem Injektor enthalten ist. Die vorliegende Erfindung hat besondere Anwendung für solche schreibstiftartigen Injektoren.
- Während solche schreibstiftartigen Injektoren eine erhebliche Verbesserung gegenüber Wegwerfinjektionsspritzen darstellen, verbleiben trotzdem Probleme.
- Insbesondere in Anbetracht der Gestaltung eines Antriebssystems für einen schreibstiftartigen Injektor gibt es eine Anzahl von sich manchmal widersprechenden technischen Anforderungen. Das Antriebssystem muss präzise und zuverlässig und gleichzeitig kompakt und effizient sein. Das Antriebssystem muss zuverlässig und robust sein, wobei es in der Lage sein muss, für die Lebensdauer des Produkts zu funktionieren. Das Antriebssystem muss auch an sich ausfallsicher sein.
- Es ist ein Vorteil der vorliegenden Erfindung, dass sie solche Probleme beseitigt oder zumindest im Wesentlichen reduziert. Die vorliegende Erfindung gewährleistet auch einen verbesserten Bedienkomfort und verbesserte Wechselwirkung mit einem Anwender.
- Die Erfindung wird jetzt nur anhand eines Beispiels in Bezug auf die beiliegenden Zeichnungen beschrieben, wobei

1 bis3 Bezug nehmend, kann dort ein schreibstiftartiger Injektor2 gemäß der vorliegenden Erfindung gesehen werden. Der Injektor2 umfasst ein Hauptgehäuse4 , an dem eine Endkappe oder Abdeckung6 lösbar gesichert ist. - An einem ersten Ende des Hauptgehäuses
4 wird ein Bedienfeldbereich8 bereitgestellt. Dieser Bereich schließt ein Anzeigefeld10 , üblicherweise eine LCD-Anzeige, und einen ersten Dosierungsknopf12 und einen zweiten Dosierungsknopf14 ein, wobei die ersten und zweiten Dosierungsknöpfe betätigt werden, um eine zu liefernde Medikamentendosis zu erhöhen oder zu verringern. Der Bedienfeldbereich10 schließt in der dargestellten Ausführungsform auch einen Ladeknopf16 ein. - Am ersten Ende des Hauptgehäuses wird auch ein Abgabeknopf
18 bereitgestellt. Vorzugsweise ist der Abgabeknopf18 bündig mit dem Hauptgehäuse4 , wenn er nicht gedrückt ist. - Entlang einer longitudinalen Achse des Injektors
2 sind an jeder Seite des Bedienfeldbereichs10 eine Anzahl von Kerben oder Ausnehmungen20 vorgesehen. Diese unterstützen das Greifen des Injektors2 durch einen Anwender. - An einem zweiten Ende des Hauptgehäuses
4 ist eine Nadeleinheit22 lösbar an dem Hauptgehäuse gesichert. Das zweite Ende des Hauptgehäuses4 ist mit einem geformten Abschnitt24 ausgestattet. - Bei der Verwendung wird eine Kartusche
40 oder Ampulle mit Medikament in dem Gehäuse4 hinter dem geformten Abschnitt24 aufbewahrt. Vorzugsweise ist der geformte Abschnitt transparent, damit die Kartusche40 von einem Anwender gesehen werden kann. - Es wird auch ein Startknopf
26 am zweiten Ende des Gehäuses4 vorgesehen. Es ist verständlich, dass wenn sich die Endkappe6 über dem zweiten Ende des Gehäuses befindet, es nicht möglich sein wird, unbeabsichtigt den Startknopf26 zu drücken oder durch die Nadeleinheit22 gestochen zu werden. Es kann auch ein Abdeckungsdetektionsschalter28 am zweiten Ende des Hauptgehäuses4 eingefügt sein, um zu detektieren, ob die Endkappe oder Abdeckung6 gegenwärtig ist oder nicht. - In
3 kann ein Startkontakt30 , ein Ladekontakt32 , ein erster Dosierungskontakt34 und ein zweiter Dosierungskontakt36 gesehen werden, die zu den entsprechenden Knöpfen gehören. Ein Abgabekontakt19 , zugehörig zu dem Abgabeknopf18 , wird ebenfalls gezeigt. - In Bezug auf
3 kann gesehen werden, dass ein geeigneter Ort für eine Energiequelle38 wie eine Batterie oder Batterien vorgesehen ist. Dort ist auch ein geeigneter Bereich, in dem eine Kartusche40 oder Ampulle mit Medikament angeordnet werden soll. Auf diesen Bereich kann durch den entfernbaren, geformten Abschnitt24 des Hauptgehäuses4 zugegriffen werden, um ein Ersetzen der Kartusche40 oder Ampulle zu ermöglichen, wie es für den Anwender erforderlich ist. - In einem dritten Bereich des Hauptgehäuses
4 wird ein Antriebsmechanismus42 vorgesehen, der von der Energiequelle38 betrieben wird und auf die Kartusche40 oder Ampulle mit Medikament wirkt. - Die Kartusche
40 oder Ampulle umfasst einen Behälter44 oder eine Hülse, die an einem Ende durch einen Deckel46 am Kopfende davon verschlossen ist und an dem anderen durch einen beweglichen Spund48 oder Stöpsel verschlossen ist. Wenn in Stellung, durchsticht die Nadeleinheit22 den Deckel46 und eine Bewegung des Spundes48 zu dem Deckel46 hin wird ein Ausstoßen des Medikaments, das in der Kartusche40 oder Ampulle enthalten ist, verursachen. Die Kartusche kann eine 3 ml-Kartusche in Übereinstimmung mit ISO/FDIS 11608 Teil3 oder jede andere geeignete Kartusche, die zu dem Injektor passt, sein. - Eine Bewegung des Spundes
48 oder Stöpsels wird durch eine Bewegung eines Kolbens oder Stößels50 verursacht, der Teil des Antriebsmechanismus42 ist. Der Kolben oder Stößel50 ist zwischen einer ersten voll zurückgezogenen Position (nicht dargestellt), die ein Ersetzen der Kartusche40 oder Ampulle ermöglicht, und einer zweiten voll ausgefahrenen Position, in der so viel Medikament wie möglich aus der Kartusche40 oder Ampulle ausgestoßen wurde, beweglich. Ein End-Stopp-Schalter52 kann in dem Hauptgehäuse4 vorgesehen sein, um zu detektieren, wann der Kolben50 in der voll zurückgezogenen Position ist. Ein Auslösen des End-Stopp-Schalters52 kann einen Verschluss oder eine andere Befestigungsvorrichtung lösen, um einen Zugang zu dem Hauptgehäuse4 zum Ersetzen der Kartusche40 zu ermöglichen. - Der Antriebsmechanismus
42 wird durch einen Motor54 unter der Steuerung einer elektronischen Steuereinheit (nicht dargestellt) betrieben. Der Motor54 sollte reversibel sein, um ein Bewegen des Kolbens50 zwischen den ersten und zweiten Positionen zu ermöglichen. In3 kann der Motor54 gesehen werden, der den Kolben50 durch einen Getriebezug42 antreibt, so dass die Rotation eines dritten Rotors58 ein Bewegen des Kolbens50 relativ zu dem dritten Rotor58 verursacht. - Vorzugsweise kann der Anwender im Betrieb die Vibration des Motors
54 und des dazugehörigen Antriebsmechanismus42 spüren und/oder sie hören. Dadurch wird dem Anwender ein zusätzlicher Grad an Vertrauen in die Tatsache des Betriebes des Injektors2 vermittelt. - Um eine Magnetspule für die Verwendung in einem Injektor nutzbar zu machen, wurde ein Mechanismus entwickelt, um die Hin- und Herbewegung einer Magnetspule in eine schrittweise lineare Bewegung umzuwandeln, um einen Kartuschenspund zu verschieben.
- In Bezug auf
4 wird ein zweiteiliger Schlitten300 entlang des Umfangs in einem Gehäuse302 gehalten, zur freien axialen Bewegung darin. Eine doppelseitige Getriebekomponente304 befindet sich ebenfalls in dem Gehäuse. Die doppelseitige Getriebekomponente304 ist für eine Drehbewegung frei, aber axial gehalten. Die doppelseitige Getriebekomponente304 ist an eine Welle306 einer Gewindespindel gekoppelt. Die Gewindespindel wird im Zusammenhang mit dieser Beschreibung so verstanden, dass sie Kolbenmittel für die Fortbewegung des Spundes48 in einer Medikamentenkartusche40 umfasst. Der Schlitten umfasst zwei Ferritkerne308 ,310 , jeder mit Zähnen an einer inneren Fläche davon. An jedem Ende des Gehäuses302 sind Spulen312 ,314 angeordnet. Ein ringförmiger Permanentmagnet316 wird zum Verriegeln des Mechanismus in einer der zwei Endpositionen verwendet, wenn die Kerne und ihre zugeordneten Spulen nicht unter Spannung stehen. - In dem Zustand ohne Spannung wird der Schlitten
300 an einem Ende der Vorrichtung durch den Magneten316 verriegelt gehalten. Der Schlitten wird durch einen geschlossenen Magnetkreis in Position gehalten, der durch einen der Schlittenferritkerne und eine Umhüllung des Gehäuses302 verläuft. - Um den Schlitten
300 an das entgegen gesetzte Ende des Gehäuses zu bewegen, werden beide Spulen312 ,314 unter Spannung gesetzt. Die Spule an dem „verriegelten" Ende wird unter Spannung gesetzt, um dem Magnetfeld des Permanentmagneten316 entgegen zu stehen; die Spule am entgegen gesetzten Ende wird unter Spannung gesetzt, um das Feld des Permanentmagneten zu verstärken. Der Schlitten300 wird daher aus der Ruheposition zum entgegen gesetzten Ende des Gehäuses302 gezogen. Durch das Bewegen von einem Ende des Gehäuses302 zu dem anderen, greift der Schlitten300 in die doppelseitige Getriebekomponente304 ein, wodurch sie um eine festgesetzte Schrittgröße rotiert, wodurch eine Welle320 der Gewindespindel gedreht wird. - Wenn der Schlitten
300 am entgegen gesetzten Ende des Gehäuses302 zur Ruhe kommt, wird er wieder durch den Permanentmagneten316 in Position verriegelt. - Der Mechanismus arbeitet, wie man sieht, bei beiden Takten der Magnetspule. Ferner kann er an jedem der Enden verriegelt werden, um eine feinere Steuerung der Gewindespindel zu ermöglichen.
Claims (3)
- Ein Antriebsmechanismus für eine Injektionsvorrichtung, in der Kolbenmittel (
306 ) selektiv angetrieben werden, um ein Medikament aus einer Medikamentkartusche (40 ) auszustoßen und ein Antriebsmechanismus zum Steuern der Bewegung des Kolbenmittels, wobei der Antriebsmechanismus ein Gehäuse (302 ), ein Schlitten (300 ), der für eine Bewegung in dem Gehäuse (302 ) entlang einer longitudinalen Achse zwischen einer ersten Position und einer zweiten Position angeordnet ist, Antriebsmittel zum Bewegen des Schlittens (300 ) in dem Gehäuse (302 ), eine Getriebekomponente (304 ), die in dem Gehäuse (302 ) drehbar um die longitudinale Achse angeordnet und mit dem Kolbenmittel (306 ) verbunden ist, wobei die Bewegung des Schlittens (300 ) zwischen jeder der ersten und zweiten Positionen eine Bewegung des Kolbenmittels (306 ) verursacht. - Antriebsmechanismus gemäß Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Antriebsmechanismus einzeln mit Strom versorgbare Spulen (
312 ,314 ) umfasst, die an jedem Ende des Gehäuses (302 ) angeordnet sind und einen ringförmigen Permanentmagneten (316 ) umfasst, der zwischen den Spulen (312 ,314 ) angeordnet ist, der auf den Schlitten (300 ) wirkt, wobei der Schlitten (300 ) mindestens einen Ferritkern (308 ,310 ) enthält. - Antriebsmechanismus gemäß Anspruch 1 oder Anspruch 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Schlitten (
300 ) und die Getriebekomponente (304 ) jeweils mit Zähnen auf einer ringförmigen Oberfläche davon ausgestattet sind, wobei ein Eingriff des Schlittens (300 ) mit der Getriebekomponente (304 ) ein Drehen der Getriebekomponente (304 ) um eine festgesetzte Schrittgröße bewirkt.
