Description
- Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Arzneiabgabevorrichtung und insbesondere Arzneiabgabevorrichtungen für die Selbstverabreichung einer Arznei durch einen Patienten. Solche Vorrichtungen finden insbesondere aber nicht ausschließlich bei der Behandlung von Diabetes Anwendung.
- Arzneiabgabevorrichtungen umfassen Infusionsvorrichtungen und Injektoren vom Pentyp. Diese Arzneiabgabevorrichtungen stoßen in der Regel abgemessene Mengen einer Arznei aus einer austauschbaren Arzneikartusche. Die Arzneiabgabevorrichtung umfasst zweckmäßig ein Mittel zum Wählen einer gewünschten abzugebenden Arzneimenge.
- Bei bekannten Arzneiabgabevorrichtungen kann die Arzneimenge je nach Bedarf des Patienten als Vielfaches von ganzen Einheiten bei einigen Injektoren oder als Vielfaches von halben Einheiten bei anderen Injektoren gewählt werden. Dies stellt einen Grad der Inflexibilität in der Bedienung solcher Arzneiabgabevorrichtungen dar.
- Es ist ein Vorteil der vorliegenden Erfindung, dass sie dieses Problem beseitigt.
- Nach einem ersten Aspekt der vorliegenden Erfindung wird eine Arzneiabgabevorrichtung wie in Anspruch 1 definiert bereitgestellt.
- Vorzugsweise ist das erste Quantum von Einheiten ganze Einheiten und das zweite Quantum Einheiten halbe Einheiten.
- Alternativ umfasst die Arzneiabgabevorrichtung ferner einen Mikroprozessor und eine Anzeige, bei der das Auswahlmittel eine Option umfasst, die auf der Anzeige angezeigt wird.
- Vorzugsweise enthält die Arzneiabgabevorrichtung ein Mittel, das dem Benutzer anzeigt, ob das Auswahlmittel in Betrieb ist, um zu bewirken, dass das Dosisanwählmittel die abzugebende Arzneimenge als das Vielfache des ersten Quantums oder als das Vielfache eines zweiten Quantums von Einheiten bestimmt.
- Die Erfindung wird nun beispielhaft mit Bezug auf die beiliegenden Zeichnungen beschrieben. Die Zeichnungen zeigen:

1 eine Draufsicht auf eine erfindungsgemäße Arzneiabgabevorrichtung; -
2 etwas schematisch eine erste Kontrollanordnung für den Betrieb der erfindungsgemäßen Abgabevorrichtung; und -
3 etwas schematisch eine zweite Kontrollanordnung für den Betrieb der erfindungsgemäßen Abgabevorrichtung. - In
1 ist eine Draufsicht auf eine Arzneiabgabevorrichtung gibt, die in der gezeigten Ausführungsform ein Injektor2 vom Pentyp ist. Der Injektor2 umfasst ein Hauptgehäuse4 , um das Dosisanwählmittel6 ,8 , eine Anzeige10 , eine Nadeleinheit12 und eine Dosisanwähltaste14 angeordnet sind. Die Anzeige übermittelt dem Benutzer Informationen, beispielsweise über die Menge der zu injizierenden gewählten Arznei. - Ein Benutzer bedient die Arzneiabgabevorrichtung, indem er das Dosisanwählmittel
6 ,8 so manipuliert, dass es eine gewünschte Menge der zu injizierenden Arznei wählt. Diese Menge kann dann durch Drücken einer Dosisbestätigungstaste16 bestätigt werden. Bei Bedienung der Dosisabgabetaste14 sorgt ein Mikroprozessor20 dafür, dass ein Antriebsmittel22 im Gehäuse4 die gewünschte Arzneimenge ausstößt. - Das Dosisanwählmittel
6 ,8 umfasst zweckmäßig zwei Tasten, eine zur Erhöhung der abzugebenden Arzneimenge und das andere zur Verringerung der abzugebenden Arzneimenge. In jedem Fall verursacht einmalige Drücken der jeweiligen Taste, dass die Arzneimenge um eine Einheit verändert wird; je nach Betriebsmodus ist das eine ganze Einheit oder eine halbe Einheit. Die Arzneiabgabevorrichtung kann so gestaltet werden, dass durch Gedrückthalten jeder Taste die gewählte Dosis weiter verändert wird. - In der in
2 gezeigten Ausführungsform kann die Wahl des Betriebsmodus zwischen eine Teileinheitsveränderung und einer Ganzeinheitsveränderung gewechselt werden, indem beide Dosisanwähltasten6 ,8 gleichzeitig gedrückt werden. - Die Anzeige
10 kann auch so gestaltet sein, dass sie dem Benutzer mitteilt, ob das Auswahlmittel in Betrieb ist, um das Dosisanwählmittel6 ,8 zu veranlassen, die abzugebende Arzneimenge als eine Vielfaches von ganzen Einheitren oder als ein Vielfaches von Teileinheiten zu bestimmen. - In der Ausführungsform in
3 , in der gleiche Bezugsziffern gleiche Teile bezeichnen, umfasst das Auswahlmittel eine zusätzlich spezielle Taste30 . - Erfindungsgemäß kann das Auswahlmittel nur einmal in einem vorbestimmten Zeitraum während der Lebensdauer der Arzneiabgabevorrichtung bedient werden. Dies verhindert die versehentliche Bedienung des Auswahlmittels über diesen vorbestimmten Zeitraum hinaus.
- In einer Ausführungsform kann das Auswahlmittel nur vom Hersteller bedient werden, so dass das Quantum von verwendeten Einheiten zur Bestimmung der abzugebenden Arzneimenge gewählt wird, bevor der Benutzer im Besitz der Vorrichtung ist. Dies erfolgt zweckmäßig als Teil des Herstellungsprozesses. Dadurch kann eine Vielzahl von Arzneiabgabevorrichtungen mit verschiedenen Betriebskonfigurationen auf einer einzelnen Herstellungslinie hergestellt werden.
Claims (6)
- Arzneiabgabevorrichtung für die Selbstverabreichung einer Arznei durch einen Patienten mit einem Dosisanwählmittel (
6 ,8 ) zur Bestimmung einer abzugebenden Arzneimenge, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Vorrichtung ferner mit einem Auswahlmittel versehen ist, um auszuwählen, ob die abzugebende Arzneimittelmenge als ein Vielfaches eines ersten Quantums von Einheiten oder als ein Vielfaches eines zweiten Quantums von Einheiten bestimmt wird und wobei das Auswahlmittel während der Produktlebensdauer der Arzneiabgabevorrichtung nur einmal während eines vorbestimmten Zeitraums betätigt werden darf. - Arzneiabgabevorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, bei der es sich bei dem ersten Quantum von Einheiten um ganze Einheiten und bei dem zweiten Quantum von Einheiten um halbe Einheiten handelt.
- Arzneiabgabevorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, bei der die Arzneiabgabevorrichtung ferner einen Mikroprozessor (
20 ) und eine Anzeige (10 ) aufweist, wobei das Auswahlmittel eine anzuzeigende Option auf der Anzeige (10 ) aufweist. - Arzneiabgabevorrichtung nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, bei der die Arzneiabgabevorrichtung ein Mittel umfasst, das einem Benutzer anzeigt, ob das Auswahlmittel in Betrieb ist, um zu bewirken, dass das Dosisanwählmittel die abzugebende Arzneimenge als das Vielfache des ersten Quantums von Einheiten oder als das Vielfache des zweiten Quantums von Einheiten bestimmt.
- Arzneiabgabevorrichtung nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, bei der es sich bei dem ersten oder dem zweiten Quantum von Einheiten um halbe Einheiten handelt.
- Arzneiabgabevorrichtung nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, bei der das Auswahlmittel nur vom Hersteller betätigt werden kann, so dass das zur Bestimmung der abzugebenden Arzneimenge verwendete Quantum von Einheiten gewählt wird, bevor der Benutzer im Besitz der Vorrichtung ist.
