Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a una celda electroquímica que contiene un electrodo sacrificial adecuado para la electrocoagulación, así como un proceso de electrocoagulación para eliminar diversos contaminantes del agua o de aguas residuales mediante el uso de la celda electroquímica; la presente invención también se refiere al electrodo sacrificial per se; varias celdas electroquímicas de conformidad con la invención se pueden acoplar a un montaje de celda electroquímica; ciertos aspectos y modalidades de la invención son especialmente adecuados para la reducción de fluoruro o fluoruro en combinación con metales pesados tales como cromo hexavalente o arsénico.
