Abstract

Se proporcionan procesos para formar silicio microporoso útil como un material activo en un electrodo de una celda electroquímica, los procesos incluyen someter una mezcla de óxido de silicio y un agente reductor de metal, opcionalmente aluminio, fresar mecánicamente para formar óxido de silicio/aluminio activado mecánicamente, tratar térmicamente el óxido de silicio/aluminio para reducir el óxido de silicio y formar Si/Al2O3 y remover al menos una porción de la alúmina del Si para formar un silicio microporoso.
