Both manhwa's contain darker themes and a female lead who is morally ambiguous Male lead's look similar and act similar (Reinhart is way crazier though) Male lead's are absolute red flags The female lead's use the male lead's even if they don't want to be near the male leads (at least during the beginning) Male lead's are getting revenge on those who did them wrong and female lead's get dragged into the mess because their families were one of those people (Both female lead's families aren't the best to the fl's anyways)

Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku
Horimiya holds a special place in my heart for personal reasons. I read Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku for the first time last summer - and, inexplicably, it gave me a sense of deja-vu. Rintaro and Miyamura are both the children of bakers - which might seem like the only similarity - but both are wholesome, fun romance mangas that I'd recommend to anyone. Seriously, if you've read Horimiya, give this a try. it won't disappoint you.

Both manhwa's contain a lot of symbolic (Expressionism?) panels that show their emotions and past experiences. Both female lead's are morally gray and only want to survive for themselves/the one they love. Both manhwa's have a lot of scheming and planning from the fl's pov Male lead's arent exactly the best but they go well with the female leads. (Male lead's could be seen a red/yellow flags) Male lead's don't fall in love with fl right away but use her but in general they both use each other

Both are complex stories where the female lead loved one of the characters from a book (male lead/villainess) and reincarnated into the book. They both want to help the one they loved from the book they transmigrated in no matter the cost Plots start out fluffy but start to slowly build out the world and the darkness lingering throughout Female leads and male leads have a sort of complex relationship and sometimes they don't tell each other fully what's going on (sometimes for I married the Male lead's dad. Sistervention loves misunderstandings) If you want more story/lore focused manhwa's these are for you!

Both have to end up saving the world and both have a system type of device that helps them throughout (even if one has the opposite goal of the female lead) Female lead does whatever she can to protect those close to her Female leads have cool powers This is mostly because I believe the female leads are really similar but the world building also has some similarities

Billy Bat
Both of these manga are by the same author, Naoki Urasawa, and have the same style. Billy Bat is essentially a wider and more sophisticated version of monster. Both of these stories have the same basis: How the hunt for a mysterious evil figure united the lives of many different people. the key difference is Billy Bat has more elements, a heavier emphasis on history (If you love history you are gonna love it), is somewhat more fast paced than monster, and has more characters. But other than this, they are very similar as both of the stories revolve around a battle against the personification of evil. So if you enjoyed monster there is a heavy chance you might enjoy billy bat as well

Manga: Ou Dorobou Jing

Ou Dorobou Jing
Despite being an episodic series, Ou Dorobou Jing has some similarities to D.Gray-man. Both are fantasy stories with a gothic aesthetic, and Jing and Allen are two protagonists shrouded in mystery who travel the world facing numerous challenges, always accompanied by their flying partners. Jing and Allen also possess powers related to their arms, with both being able to transform them into powerful weapons; the difference is that Jing uses his right arm, while Allen uses his left. Hoshino doesn't mention it, but I'm sure she drew a lot of inspiration from Ou Dorobou Jing, especially its sequel (and Trigun too, but let's leave that for another recommendation).

Inio Asano came as an student of the Furuya's school of manga, his works having a lot of similarities from the works of Minoru Furuya from this specific period of his life. In this one, both focuses on the hardships of life and relationships, insecurities about the future, and a bit of dark themes. These series scratch a similar itch. Protagonists who are overpowered for reasons that they keep secret. The art for both series is godly. Brilliant pacing that keeps the reader from getting bored (and from getting sufficient amounts of sleep. lol)

Both have a strong focus on mystery, always leading you further. Both have extremely likeable characters; there's even a fairly similar perspective swap to occasionally watch the villains progress through the story. Fire force is also pretty funny, interweaving it into the mystery and action similar to Dorohedoro.

A female lead who gains powerful enemies as she becomes better at using her skills with the goal to run away at the start but ends up staying for those she loves and cares for. Both female leads have unique powers that help them get revenge and save those dear to her Male leads could be seen as puppies if you're into that and they also love to yearn. At the start they're also low-key doomed but I won't explain as to how (spoilers type of thing)

The main character who feels worthless get opened his eyes by the person he once 'saved'. This two story has very similiar premise. When I read Seikaku Kuzu de Nani ga Warui and then examined the main character, the first thing I remembered was Adachi from 30-sai made Doutei dato Mahoutsukai ni Nareru Rashii. I like manga that openly gives the spotlight to the thoughts from the MC.
