a show i had higher hopes for. each episode the budget got a little bit smaller and the pacing got a bit more stretched. they could have comfortably fit the exact same content in 8 episodes had they cut a lot of repeat filler. i dont think the underlying writing was very strong either. a lot of the drama is based on the main character trying to become something humans will talk to. ultimately all of that was a waste of time and didnt really go anywhere, and this is a rare complaint, but id also say that the voicework is also rather bad. while

Trigun: Stargaze is by no means a bad show, but when compared with its previous season, Stampede, it just doesn't hit the same high points.
The animation is still as impressive as it was in Stampede: being an almost entirely 3D-animated show, it really pushes its models to be as expressive, movements to be as fluid and environments to be as impactful as they all can be. The character designs work very well for the 3D medium and are neither overdesigned, nor too simplified. It's overall very pleasant to watch, although the cinematography is not as well though-out as it was in Stampede. Scenes sometimes linger ...

Review: Hell Mode
Rating: 9/10 Potential
The "Vibe" & Story
If you are looking for a "cup of tea" anime, this is it. While the Isekai genre is often filled with "slop," Hell Mode stands out by being surprisingly peaceful and high-effort. The story sits right in the sweet spot: it’s familiar enough to be cozy but unique enough to keep you from getting bored. It’s the perfect watch for when you just want to kick back and relax.
Characters & Skills
The skill systems in this show are genuinely well-done and engaging. Unlike many protagonists who are just handed everything, the progression here feels earned, which makes the "Hell ...

As a fan of k-pop/j-pop, cheerful intros with choreography and a well written character dynamic, I absolutely devoured this anime from start to finishing without a single skip.
Tamon's B-Side is an anime that knows how to work with the idol concept by creating fictional idols with unexpected double-faces, catchy songs and an entertaining, funny story-line. I find it creative and new, realistic in a certain way. It's simple yet so catchy and entertaining to watch, and I give it all to the female MC: Kinoshita is a character I could not not speak about in this review, because I think she's very well-written and ...

how much of the good features of jjk can you cut away before you make a show unwatchable? a lot apparently. this show draws from jjk heavily, from the relatively constrained set of abilities characters can have, to the intentionally shitty personalities of most cast members, and to the overall tone of the creatures they face. while not nailing the landing, the show starts fairly compelling with the leadup to souji joining the academy, if you watched just that part, you might be compelled to give the show an 8, but it doesn't hold that momentum for long.

Funny thing I noticed is that most people who don't recommend dropped it by ep 3 which is where I thought of dropping too however I was still chilling and enjoying and therr are a number of Animes that came to be favorites that I only started liking by ep 6 or even 8! So I continued watching. By the end I was considering buying the manga. So enjoyable. If you like a chill slice of life adventure with pretty characters that protect the protagonist, this is for you. It's not BL although with heavy BL undertones. By the end I wanted to protect Lizel

In the wake of the apothecary diaries success, I was looking for something to watch with the same vibes. Each episode plays out in the "monster of the week" style. Each is ultimately solved by team work, the emperor's resources and the consort's magical abilities. The stakes remain very low until the very last episode, less action and more emotional impact/moral.
The setting is rife with opportunities of political intrigue-themes of usurping, genocide, and a muddied royal bloodline. They don't really cash in on any of this drama. We don't really get to glimpse much of our characters. 12 or 13 episodes in and I ...

This anime isn't a romance. Only one relationship is really explored in any detail and it doesn't go anywhere, which is fine, but frustrating if you, like me, were excited for romance.
Each character is so unbearably straightforward, it really irks me.
In the intro you see a large and diverse set of characters, but many of them have no impact on the story at all.
I know it's only 12 episodes long, and was probably produced to drive interest in the web novel, but the viewer is never offered even a glimpse into so many characters. Not like I expect them to be super ...

“Hope”.
I kinda forgot what the hell was even going on after S2, but it quickly turned into Catholics + some Knight Order guys going full war against the Evangelicals. The plot got wild with all the crazy religious stuff.
The animation in some parts was straight-up insane, especially those long live-action-looking shots. Felt like they dropped acid in the studio or something. I swear I needed drugs just to keep up with the whole season lmao.
Overall I liked it though. The final episode isn't even out, but they had that animation quality that borderline felt like hentai in Ep12 with those buildings appearing out ...

The central concept of this anime is an existential nightmare disguised as a judicial system. Here, the death penalty is considered a relief. The true punishment, reserved for the worst criminals, is the Hero’s Sentence. Immortality, which in any other work would be the ultimate power, is here an instrument of torture. Pain repeats itself, trauma accumulates, and death loses its sense of liberation to become a mere reset of the agony.

Meter your expectations for this anime. It's Twilight and Vampire Knight mashed up, but Dark Moon is inferior to both. Vampire media is oversaturated, and anime is no exception. Vampires will always hold a special place in my heart, but I wouldn't rewatch this slop if I was paid to do it.
Halfway through, there is little to no explanation of the supernatural lore. The story is mostly fluff and very little plot. Then, all of a sudden there's an actual story beyond the slice of life school dynamic, but it's so weak it's pitiful.

As an Engene, this was enjoyable. As an anime watcher, this was a bit terrible. For me, it perfectly rode the line of hate-watching, where it was enjoyable enough to keep me coming back for more, but ridiculous enough that it sort of made me mad with every episode.
The pacing was the most difficult point for me. The first 6 or so episodes are great, albeit a bit slow. The final episodes load so much plot and exposition I couldn't remember it all. This was an excellent follow up to first season. And it is much more dramatic as it handles the very early years of Miburo, before they became famous Shinsengumi. Those who love history and samurai themes will adore this show.
Animation and music: very good. Animation is solid and fluent and the battle scenes are done great. Music is great in creating the proper atmosphere. Shame that there are noticeable tracks, although I noticed a few similar ones they used from first season.

『The anime is alright, there's nothing particularly special going for it. The story doesn't seem anything special. Personally i didn’t really like the characters, i especially dislike the protagonist, cause i hate when they are overly focused on interacting with humans in this kind of show, the rest of the cast was just uninteresting, and the elf girl was annoying.
The animation was decent. I was expecting something on the level of "Kumo desu ga, Nani ka?" or even worse, so i'm glad it wasn’t complete garbage.

A very interesting anime where the heroes are condemned to immortality and become slaves. I would give it a higher rating, but I feel it lacks more information about the world.
Speaking of the animation, it's very good, and the soundtrack is too. The character designs pleasantly surprised me; they're actually quite good. The enemy designs are so-so, I feel they're worse than the main characters', but that's the only downside. It also has many political subplots that aren't fully developed because it's only a 12-episode anime, so I feel like the best decisions aren't made, and in some parts, it's incongruous. Steel Ball Run is an outstanding part of JoJo
It's a powerful, emotionally charged arc: Araki's gorgeous art, a fast-paced plot of a race across America, and deep characters like Johnny and Jiro. The story skillfully combines the screwy tactics of battle with the steadfast themes of honor and destiny, and the switch to an alternate universe has refreshed the JoJo universe.
Accessibility for new readers despite its connection to JoJo, the arc is almost self-contained and can be enjoyed without a deep knowledge of the previous parts, but those who have already watched the previous parts will undoubtedly be surprised by the references to previous parts.

I checked out this anime and was really pleased. Things this atmospheric are rare these days. And all it is, really: a few stories from the life of a café in the distant future. Of course, you could say that Asimov’s ideas are present here, that philosophical questions are raised… But it’s clear that compared to the dozens of books where Asimov subtly analyzed all the obstacles and inconsistencies arising from the “Three Laws,” this is just a small touch. A small touch that fits perfectly into Asimov’s worlds, visually complementing them, doing what the American screenwriters with their “I, Robot” couldn’t. Judging how close

What I liked most wasn’t the plot, the characters, the specific design, or the slow-paced animation that sets it apart from others in its broadcast slot, but the dialogues. Or even the overall conversational atmosphere. How the characters talk to each other, what they say, and why they say it that way. It’s just satisfying when characters react in ways that aren’t entirely predictable. You don’t sink into boredom or feel like skipping ahead.
Also, I liked how the creators, with one hand, cast shadows of some vague, unsettling weirdness going on, and with the other immediately dispelled any fake seriousness. Even that awful and seemingly ...

WHAT A. BEAUTIFUL MOVIE. this movie is perfectly comedic at some points, its so lighthearted and warm, and the artstyle is so pretty that it helps completely immerse in this cozy slice of life vibe. and usually slice of life is just funny and something where you can laugh at the characters for, but this movie genuinely feels like a hug. you can genuinely feel the love radiating from it, and i wanted to cry or smile for the characters at some points. i root for them so hard, and i love them. i love the concept of body swapping and i felt as if

This show is something which nearly made me gorge my eyes and flush my ears with acid. I did a big mistake of not reading reviews before watching this crap.
Main drawback: The MC has earned the global price in simping and is now regarded as TOP SIMP.

Frieren Season 2 is interesting… First of all there only being 10 episodes compared to season 1’s 28 is really jarring. Outside of a streak of like 3 episodes most of this season is very episodic. Yes season 1 had these episodic stretches as well but again it’s episode count was much longer making it less of an issue and more of a positive. When most of the season is side quests with a really nice albeit short fight almost every episode it can get a little formulaic.

I actually started Tamon B-Side just for a badge, but ended up really liking it. Utage and Tamon together were so fun to watch, and even the side characters added a lot to the story.
Utage is especially great—she’s very supportive, but also knows her boundaries and stays true to her character. That balance made me like her even more
It also shows how idols can be very different in real life compared to what we see on camera—and I liked that dual side. Personally, I loved Utage’s “face blast” moments and jimehara-san’s mushrooms.🍄✨

I really love this anime. From the opening song to the plot twists that took me by surprise. I also feel like some storylines were cut short, but luckily I was still able to enjoy it.
At first I thought this anime would be bad, but it turns out I was wrong. At first I also wasn’t too keen on the addition of the romance genre midway through the story. However, I reconsidered—if there were no romance, the story might have felt too heavy. I'm just confused to be honest.
I guess this is my bad, I have only watched fate 0, stay night and unlimited blade works, so I'm probably missing a lot of context.
The anime does have a good production value, the VA, the animation et soundtrack are all A-Tier.
I have no idea what's happening though, so much info dumping with terms i've never heard before and I don't know if I'm missing important knowledge or if it's just the style of the anime to try and be "mysterious".

It's absolutely beautiful
The music is very lively and upbeat for most of the movie, making it feel very exciting and energetic, but it switches to more delicate soft tones with wonderful timing. Of course, that is to be expected of something revolving heavily around music, but the point is that it's done very well.

For context I’m not the biggest fan of Jujutsu Kaisen. I thought season 1 was good but nothing more than that. And while I enjoyed season 2 a lot more I still felt it was quite overrated. Idk maybe its just me not being very into the characters as I feel outside of the cool fights nothing else really connected with me. Honestly Season 3 was heading in the same direction in the first half and that’s including episode 3 which some people thought was a masterpiece but I thought it was just ok.

Story about a dude reincarnating as a dragon egg and then evolving. Quite an easy story to follow, reminds me of "Kumo desu ga, Nani ka?" which was what first drew me to it.
Whilist the Manga / Novel story itself is "decent", the show itself is abysmal due to its structure.
The 23-24 minute runtime, is taken up by first 2-3 minutes of just recapping the last episode and then you are left with a story that moves with a crawling pace. They took 12 episodes to do what Frieren or Hell Mode wouldve done in 2-3 episodes.

Pretty show but most of the runtime is the characters explaining information in the blandest way possible and at the end of the episode the protagonist explains the rest of the plot using information she seemed to learn off screen that sometimes seems to have little to do with her field of work. The characters are flat, including the main love interest, who I thought I would like because he is very pretty. To me it feels like the adaptation of a bad otome game if you took anything actually romantic out of it. I only watched three episodes so maybe it gets better but

From what i have seen on the internet.
Its quite a low budget anime.
From what i seen online is that animation isnt that amazing. And also the reason they used this more simplistic monster style.
I looked at the manga too. They dont really show the weird slime monsters all that much. They just kinda avoid it.
But nothing seems to insinuate this was not how it was intended. And to me it all seems very fitting
The show is atleast now up to date with what I can find from the manga.

After what seemed like 100 years of delays and anticipation, Fate Strange Fake finally arrived and not only delivered on the high expectations I had for it, but exceeded them. Recency bias and all that, but idc, to me this is the best Fate series ever. It feels like a culmination of decades of world building and lore and a true love letter to type-moon and its fans. I’ll say right now, this is NOT for newcomers to Fate. I don’t care what any YouTuber or “influencer” on Twitter tries to say, you will not appreciate this series to the fullest extent if you’ve not

Within the world of magical girl anime, Kamichama Karin presents a story that blends lighthearted fantasy with elements of mystery and emotional growth. On the surface, the series appears to follow a familiar magical girl formula centered on school life, friendship, and mysterious rings that grant divine powers. However, as the story progresses, the narrative begins stacking twist after twist, revealing hidden identities, tangled family connections, and increasingly dramatic revelations. In hindsight, the sheer number of plot twists can feel almost absurd. Strangely, that very absurdity becomes part of the show' charm, turning moments that might otherwise feel excessive into something unintentionally amusing. The story

The story centers on Xylo Forbartz, a framed criminal resurrected endlessly as part of Penal Hero Unit 9004, fighting disposable battles where death means revival and scorn from society. It subverts expectations by portraying heroism as a state-enforced sentence, with gods and culture enabling cruelty, while peeling back layers of betrayal and survival. Episodes build tension through high-stakes action and character backstories, expanding a bleak narrative without heavy exposition.
Stunning animation stands out, with fluid, movie-level fight scenes free of shortcuts—constant high-quality action that "goes hard." Characters shine with depth; no shallow tropes here—Xylo's disillusionment and partners like Dotta and Teoritta (a ...

I might be biased, but if it's about Frieren, I have to say it! I love this series so much. The SOL scene, the action scene, the interaction between characters, the cinematography, all of it, are the best this season. Sad that this season is cut short to only having 10 episodes. But, hey! If it meant to make it look awesome, I'm all for it!
Anyway.
Platform
Aniplus TV (South Korea), Bilibili Global (South Asia & Southeast Asia), CatchPlay, Crunchyroll, iQIYI (Southeast Asia), Muse Asia, and Netflix.
The review;

If there’s one thing the Fate series has established by now, it’s that nothing will ever play out as promised. There can never be just a straightforward, by-the-book Holy Grail War. Fate/strange Fake, then, doesn’t set out to subvert an expected formula, because Fate has never truly operated by such a formula in the first place. Subversion is already the franchise’s modus operandi, and so Strange Fake is simply the latest entry to herald the phantasmal parade of controlled chaos. Like its predecessors, it is an installment that bends, breaks, and totally disfigures the on-paper rules of the Holy Grail War. In Fate/stay night, the

I saw the ratings and I’m really disappointed—the comments, too. Most people didn't even give the anime a fair chance. I’m currently reading the manga and, yes, it’s an isekai with overpowered dragons. Still, the story itself is worth it! I might view the anime differently because I know the source material, but many people rated it after only four episodes. The plot builds up gradually and keeps improving. If you don't stick with it, you're missing out.
It’s not a 10/10, but that’s a high bar anyway. When you dive into modern isekai, you can't complain about the genre basics; you know what you’re getting ...

I don't like to leave reviews, but I feel like I need to clear things up for this one in particular, cause I've seen lots of debates between anime watchers and manga readers.
So let's preface it: I am a manga reader.
I discovered Midnight Heart Tune by accident and I was shocked by how good it is.
It looked like Quintessential Quintuplets at home, but it quickly rose as something that I expected it would have left an impression, when the anime got announced.
Even if I am a manga reader at heart, seeing my favourite mangas getting adapted always brings a tear to my eye and I ...

this season is an improvement upon the previous two, but still has may of the same pitfalls with regards to pacing, lack of character development, etc.
first and foremost, MAPPA have outdone themselves. this is the best the show has looked, and while that’s to be expected from the studio it is still impressive to see them continue to improve. it’s not for everyone, but as a huge fan of rotoscoping it’s great to see in a few episodes; it isn’t overdone and the scarcity of it makes it more impactful.
the show is still following the fight of the week formula, and unfortunately it ...

I ultimately liked this anime but it was heavily carried by the male characters good looks.
The art style is very nice and the storyline is fine however the ending was a bit unsatisfying. The plot was a little slow, good in theory but I wish it was a movie or more detailed in the plotline and character arcs.
Despite being super strong and tough, the female lead does nothing to defend herself even though she totally could, which feels like a lost opportunity.
Overall i enjoyed the anime but it was mostly based on vibes and fanfare and i am a simple minded viewer.

Steel Ball Run is honestly one of the best parts of the entire JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure series—and it’s not even close for a lot of fans.
What makes it so good starts with the story itself. Instead of the usual setup, it throws you into a massive cross-country horse race across America, which already feels fresh and different. But it’s not just a race—there are deeper layers involving power, ambition, morality, and even questions about fate. The pacing is tight, and every stage of the journey feels meaningful.
The characters are where it really shines. Johnny Joestar is one of the most complex protagonists in the series. ...
