Some details:
- My notes are spoiler free but sequel entries may contain mild spoilers
- I watch sub. But if an anime has a great dub with a non-japanese theme then I'd go dub.
- Started watching anime quite recently (2024) but watched a few kids' anime when I was younger.
- My favourite genre is drama.
- Huge history nerd

I'll dedicate the rest of my bio on how I rate anime.
I rate shows based on how good they are in terms of plot, theme, character, setting/worldbuilding, animation and conflict. These features contribute to 8 points when I rate anime. Remember that I usually dont give points for this stuff, but I remove points if an anime lacks in any of this stuff. Any anime is automatically a 7 or an 8 unless it lacks in any one of these elements.

But since personal preferences matter a ton, I'll also have to reserve points for that. For example, I love a good, meaningful story with great drama. I am a huge fan of history and fantasy as well, so I prefer historical or fantastical settings usually more than others. My favorite genre is a drama with a lot/some action with great characters and story. E.g Aot, Vinland Saga, Orb, Monster, Frieren

I also have things which I dislike. My least favorite aspect of anime is fanservice. If an anime has tons of fanservice that keeps showing up on my face, expect me to remove 1-2 points. I'm not gooning whilst locked in.
These personal preferences contribute to 1 point when I rate an anime.

Lastly, and the most important point of them all is the "Peak Factor" as I like to call it.
When something gives me the most insane and orgasmic dopamine hit, I immediately give it an extra point.

In order for an anime to be 10/10, it should have changed the way I think and also be perfect in almost every criteria (except maybe animation).
