as of May, 2025: basic information:
--------------------------------------------
1,500+ volumes (1,700+ in singles)
200+ series
13 publishers
65% completed
20% read
8.100€ / $9,200 paid used
12.400€ / $14,100 actual price
--------------------------------------------
I own 1,538 Volumes across 207 Series and published by 13 different companies. If you split up the 2in1 and 3in1 into singles, I actually have 1,761 Manga Volumes. I completed collecting 133 out of the 207 titles (65%).
Most of my collection is in German, but I actually own 71 (=101) English volumes (about 5%) either because the title isn't/wasn't available in German or because the English version had a cooler look.
Because I buy a lot of Volumes used, I "only" paid 8.110€ or $9,221 for my Collection. That is about 5,27€ or $5.99 per Volume. If I had bought everything brand new, this collection would've cost me 12.411€ or $14,111 (34% more!), so I'm thankful for each and every Volume I own and for every purchase I have made!
Note: In this picture are only 1,247 Volumes because of space issues. Some titles like One Piece are stored in boxes in my attic.

Yeah, she’s really adorable and dorky, isn’t she? ^_^
At least more people are becoming accepting of anime instead of judging it right away. As for manga, I guess as anime gets more popular in Germany, manga might start gaining more recognition too. :)
That’s great that you want to buy the physical copy! Citrus is a good series, but I’ll try my best not to sound biased here, generally, yuri works written by women tend to feel more compassionate and realistic in terms of romance. Since Citrus is written by a man, it has its ups and downs, but that doesn’t mean you won’t enjoy it. The original Citrus series has 10 volumes, followed by Citrus+, which currently has around six. Personally, I find Citrus+ a bit messy volumes 1-4 are good and focus more on the side characters, which is great, but by volume 5, the pacing gets messy, and some parts feel pointless.
I wouldn't say its mandatory but it's like a side story to the main series about after what happens in the main.
Exactly! The most emotional stories always stick with me the longest. I’m excited to hear your thoughts on *My Girlfriend Is Not Here Today* when you get to it!
NO PROBLEM AT ALLLLLLL!!! ^v^ I’m always happy to recommend anything, from music to CGDCT anime to yuri manga, so feel free to ask me anytime! I’m really glad my recommendations are helpful. I know that feeling when you run out of songs in a genre, and everything starts sounding boring, but trust me, the artists I recommended have some amazing tracks! If you end up liking Sumin, she’s a K-R&B artist, so I can also recommend some great K-R&B songs and artists. :)
Yeah, her videos are really interesting! They have this old VHS player-like aesthetic, which gives them a nostalgic vibe. Plus, she's an anime fan trapped in a pretty girl’s body, her content is super enjoyable to watch. Hmm, I guess it could work both ways, but at the same time, I’m not sure how popular anime is among Germans. That said, I do know there are a lot of German users on MyAnimeList (MAL).
Thanks! Citrus is pretty interesting to read. Honestly, it's more fun reading it as a physical copy than online, at least in my opinion. Yeah, that would be great! If you ever decide to read or buy it, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it.
I’d be happy to recommend some yuri manga! But before I do, are you looking to purchase official English releases or just read them online? Because not many yuri manga have gotten official English translations some are only available through scanlation groups.
Yeah, I’ve heard of My Girlfriend is Not Here Today. I’m actually really skeptical about reading it because I have a feeling there’s going to be a lot of angst. Don’t get me wrong, I love angst, but sometimes I need to mentally prepare myself. There’s this one yuri manga called The Summer You Were There, and many fans said it was sad. I thought, How sad can it be? and oh my god, I did not recover for a month. Every time I remembered it, I felt a bit teary-eyed. But if you read it, I’d love to hear your thoughts! And don’t worry I don’t mind spoilers. Even if someone told me a character dies, it would be a spoiler, but I’d still enjoy seeing how it all unfolds.
Yeah, Raw Hero is by the same author as Prison School, and it’s really good. You can tell the author was trying a different concept while still keeping his erotic and comedic charm.
I listen to a lot of other groups, but mostly girl groups. I just can't get into boy groups their music isn’t really my style. You have good taste! aespa and LE SSERAFIM have some great songs. Since you listen to girl groups and seem like a casual listener, if you’re in it for the music, I can totally give you a list of girl groups with great songs. ^_^

Wow, since 2019, that’s 6–7 years now! That’s really impressive considering the number of manga volumes you’ve collected. They say if you have more than 500 books or volumes, you basically have a library, so I guess you’ve officially got one! I don’t think your collection is small at all being able to own that many manga volumes is really impressive. I totally get what you mean about buying manga being easier than reading them. I have the Akira series in my collection, and the book sizes and covers look so cool that I haven’t even read them yet!
Speaking of massive collections, there’s this YouTuber I watch from time to time named Ms. Tada. She films trips to these unique manga cafés, but instead of traditional cafés, they’re actually small rented spaces where people showcase their personal manga collections. They set up chairs, and visitors pay by the hour to read the manga there, though they can’t take them out they can only read them in the store. If you ever reach 5K or even 10K volumes, you could totally turn your collection into a business and eventually break even on all the money spent! :)
As for my collection, since I’m a big yuri fan, I’ve got series like Citrus, Bloom Into You, and Love Bullet. But I also love darker manga, so I have Death Note, Bleach, Inuyashiki, and Raw Hero, which I originally read online but loved so much that I had to get a physical copy, it might be one of the funniest works I’ve read. I also enjoy collecting albums, so I have a few on my shelf, including the NewJeans Supernatural album. I only started collecting in 2021 because I wasn’t sure if it’d be worth it since I could just read everything online, but honestly, it turned out to be a great decision! ^_^
Hello! Thank you for accepting my friend request. Your manga collection is truly admirable and impressive! Someday, I hope to build mine to that level as well. :) How long did it take you to collect all of those?
i get that but i think terms like dark trio n big 3 aren’t rly subjective titles but for specifically chosen anime. if i were to do a new gen big 3 tho i think it would be demon slayer, jjk n mha
