Well, I just got this experience a few days ago when I had to book airbnb for my Japan trip in April, I didn't expect April to be THAT expensive compared to July/August, but well it makes sense since it's the perfect weather + cherry blossom. I just had to choose the cheapest ones which are not the best as I wanted to stay in Akihabara like I did last time but well it is what it is, the cheapest option is a capsule hotel though but I really don't want to stay in those xD

This is funny because I just searched the results for France to compare with Japan and the USA and it's actually so empty here, I didn't realize it. My region has 116 people per km², I searched for French Guyana and it has 3.5 people per km² lmao. Even Paris' region (Île de France) only has 1.038 people per km², I thought it would be much more.

Yup, since I'll be there starting April 1st it should be fine to see the cherry blossom except if it's during the 2nd half of April, we'll see. I didn't know this infamous spot with Lake Biwa first canal but yeah I can imagine that when it's not the cherry blossom time it's just your basic canal xD It reminds me when I went to see the Otaru canal in Hokkaido, there were a LOT of tourists and they were amazed by it apparently, though for me it just looked exactly like your average canal you randomly see in Europe, but well that's also what's so special about it I guess.

Oh okay, well at least it still sounds like it was a cool day. Did the eel and gyoza taste good? I think I never tasted eel before coming to Japan and I was surprised by how sweet it actually is, I had eel sushi and they were awesome xD

Sadly they didn't show a good image of African during the AFCON, this is kind of a pity because the players know that they have the opportunity to show how good their competition, their culture and all can be to the whole world but instead they decided to act like this... Some players like Sadio Mané saved the day though, and I think Sénégal winning the AFCON is the good ending after all this mess. Brahim Diaz trying a panenka during such high stakes is one of the craziest move I've seen during a football match, wtf.

I'll be hyped for the remake, no matter what haha. Not sure for Hitman, it's weird, there was a registered website for a new anime, then they announced that a new project was coming for the 20th year anniversary https://x.com/animetv_jp/status/2002032104633151528 so it's probably happening in October, either the new anime (sequel or reboot) is starting or they just do the announcement at this time, we'll see.

Uhhh, sharing the same birthday as Ueshama is certainly interesting, since I loved a lot of roles she has done, including obviously Reze from Chainsaw Man (she did an amazing job at that, it was so fitting for the character), but also Chinatsu from Blue Box, which I also really enjoyed, and I also really appreciated her role in Yakuza Fiancé as Tsubaki. Just saw the roles she has ddone, and she also did Shizuka from Takopii, which surprised me too.
Muhammad Ali too, I see our birthday is destined to big things (let's forget about Jake Paul, never noticed he's birthday was also January 17th =o).

I see After the Rain is one of your favorite anime! I found it really interesting, because I also really enjoyed that anime, but I don't hear much about it (maybe because I only watched it some years after it aired). I really found the message of the anime beautiful and realistic too. Also, Aimer's ending for that anime "Ref:rain" is just amazing, my favorite Aimer song (from the ones I have hears so far).

To be honest I would probably prefer staying in hotels in most cases (this is what I did in the USA) but it's often just much more expensive than airbnb, I don't really care about comfort most of the time, I don't like luxury or high standards so in most cases I just take the cheapest offer (as far as it's not too far away or terrible).

Yes haha, but well a lot of states in North America are "kinda" empty compared to their sizes I mean there's not much to visit for some of them I would say. Hahah well it's because you're not used to cold temperatures, it has been snowing for a week here but it warmed in the recent days and it's staying around 7-8°
This is another perfect time to go to Japan as far as it stays this way, I'll be back this April if things go well, I will just be staying in Osaka and Tokyo though this time, just because both were my favorites cities lol.

I would like to compare Casablanca to Marrakech at some point, with the AFCON final taking place in a few hours it's gonna be eventful in Morocco lol, especially if they win. The final takes place in Rabat though.

I think it's this kind of anime that is extremely popular in Japan but people overseas just don't care about it, mascots like that are more of a Japanese/Korean/Chinese thing I would say. I can't wait to start Akatsuki no Yona then! I'm trying to watch Hitman Reborn right now because they also announced a sequel but this one has 200 episodes to catch up hahaha, I don't think I'll be up to date with it when the sequel comes out unless it's in a few years, it took me 2-3 years to reach the 100th episode mark for Detective Conan
