Nah no health problem lol, thanks for worrying tho.
I am a big Jojo fan so maybe I’d be into Baki, Steel Ball Run is coming out really soon btw, really excited for it.
Oh yeah it would be awesome if OPM S3 Part 2/Season 4 came out and blew us all away, but we’ll have to wait and see, probably best to have no expectations tho. And I’m currently in the middle of Re:Zero and it’s taking up a lot of my anime time, so it’ll be a bit before I get around to To Be Hero X, but I appreciate the recommendation. You take care too my guy!
Time really do feel like that lol. And i definitely appreciate that, I hope it all ends soon as well.
Ah Baki huh, I need to get into that series, one I’ve known of for a long time.
Yeah you said it right about OPM, Season 2 got a lot of hate back when it came out (I actually liked it even back then tho) but it looks like a masterpiece compared to Season 3 lol, it is very sad but like you said, they got another chance for Part 2 or Season 3 (or Season 4, since it’s supposed to come out in 2027 lol), so we’ll see what happens. Oh you’re watching To Be Hero X, someone else I know here on MAL has been gushing about that show to me recently, I guess I gotta get on that one huh.
Happy late New Year to you too, hard to believe it was November when we last shot a message to each other, been a bit for sure. And as of rn, all is well with me, dealing with some life stuff but it's nothing that bad at least, I hope you're doing well too.
Yup, I know that feeling well, some things just feel so recent no matter how much time goes by. And hey Kaiju No. 8 did eventually get that sequel announcement, not sure if it'll be a movie or a season yet but I'm hoping for a Season 3 for sure.
Yeah no idea how some do it lol, must be all they use their free time for or something. Oh yeah we were talking about OPM Season 3 before, what a time that anime's airtime was lol, now that it's ended I can say it at least ended kinda strongly, but yeah it was overall a letdown, but hey we got a Part 2 coming next year apparently, I really hope it gets a glowup. And OPM Season 1 is elite man, I like Season 2 a lot too but it didn't reach Season 1's heights, but yeah if you end up checking out Season 3, I hope you can find some enjoyment in that trainwreck lol. And yeah this winter is quite stacked, it's a bit like a Part 2 to last summer. As for any that caught my eye unexpectedly, I'd say "Kaya-chan Isn't Scary" and "You and I are Polar Opposites", of course I hoped they would be good but I was still surprised they were as good as they are lol.
I'm kind of in the same boat, recent years do feel "recent" in my mind, but at the same time a long time ago lol, it's a weird feeling.
I completely agree with your reasoning for loving shounen anime, it's the same for me, but for some reason there are a good amount of people that don't like it, it's unfortunate but that just leaves more for us I guess lol. Yeah we need that Kaijju announcement bad, I think it'll happen but you never know.
Yeah I guess I watch a lot of anime every season lol, but still not as much as some others tho, some folks watch nearly everything in a season, I could never do that lol. And yeah I've been keeping up with OPM S3, it's pretty sad lol, not unwatchable imo but a far cry from even Season 2, I've been rewatching Season 1 recently and it really is night and day. But hey Season 3 has a good OP and ED at least lol
Well I wouldn’t say Higurashi is still getting content because Higurashi Sotsu came out in 2021, and it’s been a while since then as much as I hate to admit lol, but yeah it did get a new entry fairly recently with Gou and Sotsu. And it is indeed a very good horror/mystery, I think you’d be into it.
I know what you mean, shounen anime seem like they would please people but believe it or not, there are folks that don’t like it and some even hate them, it’s all just taste tho really, while me and you might love Dragon Ball or some other shounen, some folks want nothing to do with it. It is what it is tho, the most important part is to just enjoy it yourself without letting other opinions affect you. Yeah Kaiju’s cliffhanger was really tough, I really wanted to see how all the fights with the new kaiju played out but we gotta wait for that unfortunately, not sure if or when Season 3 is coming tho.
Well I by no means have the say on how good a season is, I just have my personal opinions lol, but my philosophy is every season of anime has something worth watching, no matter what season it is. Yeah the Beastars mangaka (a series I need to get into) is behind Sanda, it is interesting seeing how she draws human characters, it’s a very unique story too. And yeah the vampire anime’s name is funny sounding lol. And sounds good, if you do end up checking those shows out I hope you enjoy them.
Yea the only bad thing about DS is that we have to wait 2 years!! Haha
Yea i liked Kaiju! Didn’t watch the new Chainsaw Movie I’ll have to do that soon did you watch it?
Ohh im gonna watch both of those soon! I basically always have 2 animes on the go a pure Sub one and a Dub one. Right now im gonna rewatch Spy Family for the new season and then for sub I just finished Monogatari series! It was soo good! There’s like so many seasons and side stories it’s pretty good I’d say it’s a dark fantasy!
Lol understandable, you can get parts of different shows mixed up in your head after a long time, I haven’t seen Another since 2022 as a matter of fact, I kinda wanna rewatch it now. And yes I’ve seen Higurashi, I haven’t seen some of the spin-off stuff but I’ve watched all the main stuff, which would’ve been back in 2020 and 2021 (because Higurashi Gou came out in Fall 2020 and that kickstarted my dive into the series), and I watched Higarashi Rei in 2022 which is one of the spin-offs, honestly it’s been so long that series deserves a big rewatch as well, I like it a lot, it’s got a great story and good horror.
Yeah you pretty much explained the pipeline of never skipping perfectly. And lol I can think of a good amount of people that don’t like shonen, in Gachiakuta’s episode threads you can see people complaining that the shonen anime has shonen tropes, I see it all the time lol, that and I know at least one person that avoids shonen’s like the plague, they just can’t get into them for whatever reason. And nice that you finished those shows, I didn’t notice a drop in quality for Kaiju myself but maybe you have a better eye for it, the biggest complaint I saw for the season was that it started out kinda rough by taking all the characters we knew and splitting them up, and giving us new characters instead, which I kinda agree with, but I saw people complaining about Kafka having PTSD which caused him to be unable to transform, and to that I disagree, I thought the plotline made a lot of sense for that point in the story.
Fall season has been good imo, a lot of shows I’m enjoying a lot, I’ve seen it being said that it’s a dry season but I disagree, I think a lot of people were spoiled by the stacked summer so that’s why they feel that way. The shows in particular I think are gems tho, I’ll give you a few, “This Monster Wants to Eat Me”, “Sanda”, and “Miss Vampire Can’t Suck Right”. Not sure if you’d be into them or not but I’m loving them so far.
I think the umbrella scene you’re thinking of is “Another” actually, I can see why you would think it’s Higurashi tho, both are disturbing shows like that. Yeah that is one thing manga has over anime, a lot of adaptations scuff the content when the manga/LN is the original, so you’re not missing any cut content, some suffer from bad production quality too, but even then I still prefer anime to manga. And you got it right with the manga to anime comparison, with manga you are actively reading and turning pages (or scrolling if you’re reading online), with anime you press play and that’s it, maybe you’ll have to rewind a few scenes if you missed a subtitle of just want to see a scene again. Oh yeah I imagine reading manga while tired is even tougher, like you said, it’s because it’s a bit more active than just watching.
You think I’m built different huh lol, yeah maube I kinda am when you put it that way, idk how many other people never skip the OP and ED like I do so maybe it’s more of a rare thing than I thought. Ay I don’t blame you for eventually skipping them if the song never grows on you, sometimes that happens for me but generally I always like a song at least decently by the end since I never skip, by that point it’s in my head and it’s gonna have nostalgia associated with it eventually which will make me like it more, it’s a funny thing that nostalgia can do that lol, but yeah sometimes a song just doesn’t gel with you and I get that. Oh nice so you are big on shonen, I think you’ll like Gachiakuta a lot then, and yeah the summer did have quite a few big shonens huh, there’s not as many this fall by comparison. Oh yeah Yamishibai is always a good time, even if a season is a miss, it’s so short that it’s not a waste of time, very good for the spooky season too.
hahaha i know crazy right. but i am enjoying the rewatch, skipping fillers though, watched it once already. ahh yes very good arc, peak fiction for sure!
yeahh characters, locations, i need to get around to reading the manga again though, and ahhh damn.
ahh thats cool, i do like the game even though i didn't play it much. yeah wangan is good so far, still havent finished it but i am enjoying it. ahh yeah i would recommend initial d, i did enjoy that a lot, im into cars so both of these are right up my alley haha.
anyway how you doing, watching or reading anything else thats good atm?
Yea!!! It was the best anime movie I’ve seen! It was actually amazing!! The music, animation the story. I read the manga a while back (2021) and forgot some details so it was cool to see them! I loved the memories Tanjiro has with his dad!! Did you see it?
Oh yeah I love when a show just sticks in your brain with unforgettable moments, at least when it’s something funny or cool, terrifying scenes not so much even as a horror fan lol, there are some iconic scenes from Higurashi and Blood-C that I’ll never forget like that, loved those shows tho. Oh so you find anime easier? I do as well but I always hear about people switching to manga because it’s the easier one, but I guess it’s different for everyone then. Also i definitely feel you on the being stuck on the same moment while being tired, I’ve done that with anime before where I go in an out of reality from being so tired, so I have to rewind the same scene several times before I get it all lol.
Oh yeah cutting out 5 shows is gonna help a lot, I’m planning to check Fall 2025 shows today so we’ll see if I can stick to 15 or not this time, I’m really gonna try to lol. And regarding not skipping the OPs and EDs, yeah it’s just what I like doing, for me they’re as much a part of the show as the show itself, like the OP hypes you up for the episode and the ED brings you back down, but in a good way, and sometimes you get to notice the cool differences when they change the ED in the middle of the show sometimes, that just happened recently with the current seasons of AoButa and Dr. Stone. And a much simpler reason I never skip is because I just really love music lol. It sounds like you do the thing many folks do, catch it on the first listen and maybe a few after, then skip from there, I definitely understand doing it that way, saves you about 3 minutes an episode too, but I’ve always liked never skipping the most. Hmmm other recommendations you say, not sure how big a shonen fan you are but I’ve been really liking Gachiakuta, it had another cour going through the fall though so it’s not quite bingeable yet. Pretty much everything else I can recommend is a sequel because that was most of my season lol, but I actually did finish a show from the summer season that wasn’t part of my weekly watch list because my buddy wanted to watch it called “Clevatess”, I really liked that one, it’s a cool dark fantasy anime with nice production value overall, you might be into it.
Also thanks for the friend request, we’ve been shooting messages back and forth for a bit now so yeah might as well lol.
Highschool of the Dead is such a classic so that’s a really good one to have been among your firsts, Prison School I know of and actually tried watching many years ago, but I fell off of it, I gotta fix that one day, but I do remember is being pretty funny and I’m someone that does get good laughs from anime, so it should be a good hit with me. Damn that’s a lot of manga lol, I might get there one day if I ever truly take a dive on manga, but for now I just have a handful of series I own manga for, I just have to actually read them lol. Oh yeah this guy knows a lot about Ishura, I just thought it was a really cool series but he enhanced that a bit with all the info he gave me on the LN, I discussed Season 2 with him heavily back when that was coming out too. Now we mostly chat about other shows, I actually need to write a new reply to him now that I think about it lol.
I’m quite resistant to anime burnout thankfully, I think it’s because it’s so fun, but yeah the 20 shows a week has been tougher than usual lol. And yeah 15 isn’t that much less but it’s the number I’m used to, and you’d be surprised in the different just 5 shows makes, at least in my experience. And yeah I never watch anime sped up, I also don’t skip the OP or ED either, I get every minute in full when it comes to anime, even more than that sometimes when I have to rewind scenes. “ Congrats man, you're a beast haha.” Thank you very much kind sir. “it makes the whole thing funnier to watch.” Totally agree there.
yeah i know, i've been hearing a lot of buzz so I am looking forward to eventually getting around to it. Atm with the anime I am re-watching and currently at marineford arc. I should get around to the manga but i initially stopped because keeping track of all the character names and stuff at beginning of wano got confusing and i stopped reading.
yeah definitely, and on that note, i might go back a few chapters when i do decide to catch up with one piece
ahh fair enough, is that based on the game? I am currently watching wangan midnight and enjoying it so far, i'm into cars and this has been on my list for a while so i thought i might as well give it a go.

Yes I love Ds! I love the lore too! It was a mind blowing movie tbh!! You NEEED TO WATCH IT!
I liked K8! It’s good and the story is great! I just didn’t like the animation of the last EP I feel bad since they rush soooo much!
What are you currently watching! I’m raving and sad about MHA it’s the last season
