-IMO it's better to read a manga to chapter 1/2/3 immediately when you're interested, instead of putting it into your PTR and then lose interest after time passes by.
-I mostly write clarification about what I liked and disliked about animanga in my lists, located in the tag column.
-I've been avoiding Junji Ito's work and some manga that I've seen the anime of, such as Hunter x Hunter, Death Note, Dr. Stone, Kuroko no Basket, Naruto, Jujutsu Kaisen, Demon Slayer etc because the former is not really my liking of horror and the latter seven I'm fine with the anime only, I want to read stuff I've not seen yet because that's more entertaining than another double story for hundreds of chapters. Languages I can at least understand:
Dutch/Nederlands: fluent, it is my first language. English: nearly fluent: my go-to language whenever Dutch isn't able to make the conversation keep going. French/Français: I have been surrounded with French since my childhood but even then I still have difficulties talking with native speakers. I can write texts and mails without issues as long as I have time however, so here on MAL it's also fine :) German/Deutsch: I haven't heard a lot of German in my life, however it is probably the closest language there nowadays is (except South-African) to Dutch. I can understand it with enough time to connect the dots minus a few words here and there.
I have studied Latin for six years in high school, so I have some notions about Spanish, Portuguese and Italian as many words are derived from the Latin words, but don't ask me to write anything because I'll have to use a translating tool, which isn't always correct.

I love classical literature, such as Homer's Odyssey and Iliad, Virgil's Aeneid, Ovid's Metamorphoses, Greek and Roman mythology and movies of derivatives based on parts of that such as Percy Jackson (books and movies).
Other movies that I like are The Maze Runner trilogy, The Hunger Games, lots of Marvel movies, Batman: The Dark Knight trilogy, the Harry Potter franchise, some Disney and Pixar movies such as Tangled and Inside Out, Inception, The Matrix franchise, Divergent trilogy, the Cobra Kai series, I am number three...
On the forums I'm quasi only active in the Animanga recs and Manga Discussion boards. AD is just so full of bait and crap posts I don't even care anymore like bruh.
Feel free to see the stuff I recommend to y'all. I try to only post quality° manga recommendations, and this a few times a week, (°with multiple similarities and some differences, and not just based on a tag or similar MC personality or concept like revenge).
Lately I've been trying to put the spotlight onto less known manga.
I've stopped doing reviews, since I know myself, I can't explain a full story well enough, it's up to yourself to try it out based on other reviews or recommendations. The only exceptions I make, are when nobody else has reviewed a manga I love (rated 9 or 10).

Anime ratings:
10: Extremely good, every episode was thrilling/fun/worth watching* 9: Masterpiece, most of the time hyped and glad to have watched it * 8: Good/Great, worth watching but sometimes lacking 7: Normal score: mediocre plotline, animation may be lacking a bit (not really taking older anime into account here), sometimes less interesting 6: Plot isn't all that interesting, often just focus on attack scenes, superficial [Sometimes reasons are given in the tag area, but mostly it's because generally it's less good than the 7-rated anime, not because it's a waste of time] 5: Not sure how I feel about these, but it was disappointing in some way <5: Not worth watching**
Since I now watch anime adaptations of manga I really like, the balance will naturally be shifted to the upper side of the anime rated spectrum, with quite a bunch of 8s. My manga list is still faithful to my full rating scale. Also the issue with giving more 8s and 9s comes from the several seasons of a single anime, manga don't have multiple entries as much as anime.
*NB: Because long running series often have fillers and slower paced parts, the best ones are commonly rated 9/10. It's not fair for me to give them a 10 if there were more than a few slow parts, but still I love them for what they are. Examples of these are One Piece and Hunter x Hunter. **NB: I tend to skip shows rated below 6.50 so that's why the first sifting leads to very few anime scored below 5.: abolished before 2022
Manga ratings:
*I try to rate only after reading Ch 3 (except one-shots). If I'm still in doubt, I leave it blank for the moment.
*First rating is most commonly 6/7. 8 only after at least 10 Ch. (6 = average, 7 = okay, 8 = very good). Lower than 6 may occur, but that means it's bad from the beginning.
*Score might raise by one if there's a continuous supply of great chapters, score might drop by one if there's a continuous supply of boring/awful chapters. The ceiling between 8 and 9, and between 9 and 10 is higher than the ones lower than 8.
*Lowest score given atm is 1 = Not only cringe/boring/annoying/terrible/waste of time but also offensive and make me wish I could forget they exist, 2 = nothing redeemable, no decent plot, no comedy, no interesting characters, no creativity, boring and superficial, 3 = terrible, 4 means bad/boring/cringe, 5 means below average but not that bad.
*Any manga with 9 or above is a top pick that is a must-read if you've got similar taste as me. 9 = great/well-written/entertaining.
*10 is mostly given to manga that have been taking me by surprise many times, tons of hype scenes, and that made me read non-stop (like at least 20/30+ chapters every time)
*Since I'm a reader that likes to switch between stories, if I keep on reading the same one, it means a lot.
*Dropped manga = forever ditched <> On-Hold = read again later (months-year(s)), as long as they're scored 6 or higher I won't drop them, and as long as manga are scored 8 or above it's got my attention enough not to pause them.
So summarized: Reading list: 1-10°; Completed list: 1-10; On-Hold list: 1-7; Dropped list: 1-5 (unrated manga can be everywhere as well.) °I rather don't want to keep reading stuff rated 4 or below so typically my reading list has manga rated 5-10.
Currently setting anime aside for (seinen) manga/manhwa, I'll watch anime adaptations of the manga I enjoyed but not anime before a manga. I do read some Shoujo & Josei manga, although at a slower pace and less frequent than Shounen and Seinen manga.
Examples are Aqua, Kagen no Tsuki, Niehime to Kemono no Ou, Usotoki Rhetoric, Usemono Yado & Mystery to Iu nakare, Olimpos, Sayonara Sorcier, preferably with another tag like Horror, Mystery or Supernatural instead of solely pure romance.

Thanks to these I have a nice way of learning more French together with manga I loved that I couldn't get in English :D!!

19-11-2022: As I'm reading "My Home Hero", I feel the same urge to binge as I did with Waga Na wa Umishi; Rainbow: Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin & Megumi no Daigo. I love it whenever I find such another manga I can excitedly binge on the edge of my seat :D
18-8-2022: Today I passed by a nearby bookstore to look if they maybe had some interesting manga volumes to buy (haven't bought for months until today), and I found TBATE vol 1! That was literally the last one I'd have expected, since it takes a while until manga from America come over to my country. €20 were worth it, glad I didn't buy Solo Leveling for the same price before. I also bought Witch Hat Atelier V9, even though I'm not that far in the manga yet.
06-8-2022: I gained more than 600 chapters here on MAL because I finally found Solo Leveling's and Omniscient Reader's Novel pages. I actually want to complete ORV soon because the ending is so close (rn at 492/512) the ending is somewhere in the 510s, the rest should be epilogues.
Edit: Yoo I went from 109 days to 123 days, that's the equivalent of 31 minutes per novel chapter xD. No way it's that much but it is 20+ mins though.

I finally started reading the Promised Neverland manga. I remember liking the anime quite a bit when I watched it ages ago, but skipped season 2 because I heard nothing but bad things about it lol
