'Seihantai na Kimi to Boku' Season 2 Announced for Summer 2026

The Seihantai na Kimi to Boku (You and I Are Polar Opposites) White Stage announcement on Sunday that a second season is in production, revealing an announcement video. The second season is scheduled to premiere on July 5 at 5:00 p.m. on MBS and TBS.

Produced by Lapin Track, the television anime adapting Koucha Agasawa's school romcom manga began airing on January 11. Crunchyroll simulcasted the anime with multiple subtitles and an English dub.

Agasawa originally drew the romantic comedy manga on the Shounen Jump+ web magazine as a one-shot in January 2021 before beginning regular serialization in May 2022. The manga ended its over 3.5 year-run with 65 chapters in November 2024. Shueisha published the eighth and final volume in March 2025.

Shueisha's Manga Plus platform began publishing the chapters in English in June 2022. VIZ Media licensed the manga in English in October 2023 and published the eighth and final volume on February 3.

@RobertBobert yeah, for it to come out in 3 months, it has to be in production for the past six months at least. It's likely they kept going after the first 12 episodes.

That was surprisingly fast, it has become one of the romance anime this month that I truly enjoy, with a storyline that I find quite engaging.

The leaks were correct (as always). Can't wait for Season 2.
Meanwhile, I'll check out the anime of the same author's other work The Ramparts of Ice this season. Hope it’s good.

So, was it actually a split cour? I don't mind, I liked the show, but I feel awkward seeing how seasons are technically coming out so frequently.
