Originally the series was my second favorite of the winter season with the strongest first episode premiere of any series I was watching - perhaps the strongest for a seasonal since Kowloon Generic Romance's premiere last spring. A solid and high 7/10 on the cusp of an 8. But as the series progressed from the beginning of its second half (and its third game - the bathhouse arc) onward, my opinion of it only deteriorated and I definitely lowered its rating and ranking.

So whether I will continue with the series, whether in the form of a film or another season or OVAs or anything else, really depends. I think that I'll wait until after they come out and see what some others are saying and how they're received and reviewed. Specifically I'll be curious to know and see if it's more in line in form with the first half of season one or the second half. If it's more in line with the first half then I'll watch. If instead the second half, then I'll pass.

I do believe that separate longer installments treated almost as standalone ventures and experiences like the first game and episode could have been are probably the correct way to go.

@WatchTillTandava Given the film's release date and limited screening, I feel like they just separated out the finale of the filmed original series.

I have not watched the anime.
Cloudy Beach is in the third volume, does that mean the anime adapts the first 2 volumes?

And I need to catch up with the light novels again~
