'Himekishi wa Barbaroi no Yome' Unveils Additional Cast, Theme Songs, Second Promo

The official website for the television anime adaptation of Noriaki Kotoba's Himekishi wa Barbaroi no Yome (The Barbarian's Bride) manga revealed additional cast, theme songs, new key visual (pictured), and the second main promotional video on Friday. The anime is scheduled to premiere on April 9 across 22 stations nationwide, including AT-X, Tokyo MX, BS NTV, Kansai TV, and WOWOW.

Vyufmec: Ayaka Asai (Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken)
Calca Lot: Yuusuke Kobayashi (Demi-chan wa Kataritai)
Nimuhara: Yurika Kubo (Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka)
Vas: Kouichi Souma (Kami no Tou)
Guas: Yasuhiro Kikuchi (Hazure Skill "Kinomi Master")
Balhas: Shinpachi Tsuji (Fairy Tail)
Nyrea: You Taichi (Mahoutsukai Reimeiki)

Singer Mayu Maeshima (Isekai Shikkaku) is performing the opening theme song "Beautiful," with sajou no hana (Ishura) performing the ending theme song "Shiru Beki Koto." Both theme songs are previewed in the promotional video below.

Takayuki Tanaka (Blue Lock episode director) is directing the anime at Jumondo. Miya Asakawa (Shounen Onmyouji) is overseeing the series composition. Masayoshi Kikuchi (Saikyou Onmyouji no Isekai Tenseiki) is serving as the main character designer, with Mayumi Fujita (Hoshi no Samidare sub-character design) and Gen Hatakeyama (Hoshi no Samidare) handling the character designs. Alisa Okehazama (Kusuriya no Hitorigoto) is composing the music.

Kotoba originally began posting the comedy fantasy manga on his Pixiv account in January 2019. Bessatsu Shounen Magazine began serializing the manga in January 2021. Kodansha published the tenth volume on October 9.

Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga in English this May. The fifth volume was released in December 2025, with the sixth volume scheduled for release on March 24. Kodansha's K Manga service also simultaneously publishes manga in English.
