The Tokyo MX Booth at AnimeJapan 2026 announced an additional cast pair for Kimi no Koto ga Daidaidaidaidaisuki na 100-nin no Kanojo 3rd Season (The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You Season 3) on Saturday. The new season is scheduled to premiere in July 2026.

Voice actresses Kaori Ishihara (Hige wo Soru. Soshite Joshikousei wo Hirou.) and Ayana Taketatsu (Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e) are joining the cast as Chiyo Iin and Nadeshiko Yamato, respectively.

Produced by Bibury Animation Studios, the first season aired in 12 episodes in Fall 2023. The second season premiered in Winter 2025. Crunchyroll streamed the anime with subtitles and dubs in multiple languages.

Kimi no Koto ga Daidaidaidaidaisuki na 100-nin no Kanojo, also known as Hyakkano, adapts Nakamura and Nozawa's comedy harem manga, which they launched in Young Jump magazine in December 2019. Shueisha published the 25th volume on March 18. Hyakkano has a cumulative 2.2 million copies of its volumes in circulation.

Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga in English under its Ghost Ship imprint in July 2021. The 17th volume went on sale on March 17, with the 18th volume scheduled for a June 23 release.

Can we call this show anime with the largest main cast yet? I mean, there are some nuances, but this show is on track to have more central characters than any bishoujo franchise adaptation.

@RobertBobert so far in the manga we have 37 girlfriends and a bunch of reoccurring side characters too as well as background voices so it's getting up there

@yamiyugi101 So, can we? Yes, we've had plenty of hasubendo/waifu adaptations before, but I don't remember any of them having more than 10 main characters, even formally.

@RobertBobert yeah I'd say although I can think of plenty of battle shounen series with tons of voices but that's only in a few arcs not the whole series

@yamiyugi101 I was only talking about the main characters, not the characters in general. But given the story's potential, maybe someday we could get a show with a larger main cast than any major anime with a full cast, lmao.

@RobertBobert very true but yeah by the time this series is over we might have the largest main cast rentarou speech at the end of season 2 already set a world record

With the manga still ongoing and the evergrowing number of girlfriends, The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You feels like a series that could easily continue for many seasons; honestly, reaching ten seasons would not be surprising. I personally enjoy characters like Hakari Hanazono and her mother, Hahari; of course, Eiai stands out as well. What truly amazes me is the sheer imagination behind it having over one hundred girlfriends is something rarely seen at this scale. I am also quite impressed with the creator; knowing that the illustrator is currently pregnant and adjusted the schedule to focus on her health makes me respect the work even more.

Anime-only here, but judging from the key visual, it seems like we'll only be getting 2 girlfriends this season? Would that mean it would take longer to meet each new girlfriend now, considering that they also have to put focus on the current existing girlfriends?
