Zen originally began penning on the novel publishing website Arcadia in 2011. Kadokawa began publishing the series with illustrations by Shinobu Shinotsuki through its Enterbrain label in October 2013. The 14th volume shipped in September 2023. Chika Toujou began drawing a manga adaptation in Monthly Comp Ace in April 2016. Kadokawa released the 34th volume on March 26. A 12-episode television anime by animation studio Nut aired in Winter 2017. Crunchyroll and Funimation streamed the show with subtitles and English dub, respectively. A sequel anime film opened in Japan in February 2019, grossing over 420 million yen (approximately US$ 3.8 million). Yen Press licensed both the light novel and manga adaptation in English in April 2017 and published the 14th light novel volume in September 2023. | They took quite popular seiyuu's for additional cast sugi and youko, very good I like their voices. They changed staff a bit but it still looks good from what I see in PV. |
