The Isekai de Cheat Skill wo Te ni Shita Ore wa, Genjitsu Sekai wo mo Musou Suru: Level Up wa Jinsei wo Kaeta (I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in The Real World, Too) Green Stage at AnimeJapan 2026 announced a second season on Saturday, revealing a teaser visual (pictured right).

Produced by Millepensee, the first 13-episode season adapting Miku's adventure fantasy light novel aired in Spring 2023. Crunchyroll streamed the series with subtitles and dubs in multiple languages.

Miku began penning the light novel—also known as Iseleve—on the Kakuyomu website in March 2017, approximately three years after launching Shinka no Mi: Shiranai Uchi ni Kachigumi Jinsei (The Fruit of Evolution: Before I Knew It, My Life Had It Made!). Kadokawa began releasing the series with illustrations by Rein Kuwashima under its Fantasia Bunko imprint in December 2018. The 20th volume was published on March 19.

Kazuomi Minatogawa (M3: Sono Kuroki Hagane) began drawing a manga adaptation on the Web DenPlay Comic website in December 2019. Kadokawa released the seventh volume in December 2025.

Yen Press licensed both the light novel and manga in English in September 2021 and released the seventh light novel volume in December 2025, with the eighth volume planned for a September 8 release. The sixth manga volume was published in November 2025.

@Tenryuu1 nope. it wasn't. a 'shin anime' was announced a while ago, but that turned out to be the TV Special airing this month on the 30/31. NO SEASON 2 was officially titled or stated or whatnot in any announcement i've read... just a bunch of dumb 'leakers' supposedly with 'inside sources' who turned out to be rumormongers just prattling on to get clicks and views and re-Tweets.

wait (as always) for OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASES and do NOT believe 'leakers' and blablabla. speculators will speculate... but that's all they're doing... guessing.

@EcchiGodMamster read through the old Iseleve newsbytes here on MAL and you'll find the 'shin anime' announcement in there. they're well organized here on MAL as to the 'franchise title' so you can get a whole list of em concerning this franchise's stuff. you'll probably have to go through 'Season Streamer List' news items and 'Manga/LN Book Release' lists for certain periods too. due to Iseleve being part of those articles as well. but it was there. i read the article from MAL myself.

the 'shin anime' entry here on MAL was in and of itself edited to read TV Special later on. the database entry numeral was the same for 'shin' as it is now for 'TV Special'. it is in the URL for each database entry, 52830 is for Iseleve S1. 56906 is for the TV Special. 63822 is for Season 2. it is a progressive ID# increasing in value from some point, maybe 1 or 001 or some variation of a 'first entry' numeral. each subsequent existing database entry is individually created and assigned that ID# based on when it was created and placed into the database during the entire database's lifecycle. the earliest first oldest entries will have a lower numerical value than brand spanking new entries like Iseleve S2, Frieren S3, Hell Mode: The Hardcore Gamer S2 etc.

About the guys above nah, it was definitely already a thing

The people who leaked it clearly were in the production team, therefore knew the contents of the shin anime that aired recently, and knew said shin anime would contain s2 announcement.
Now let's not grasp at straws and be delusional thinking those people who leaked didn't know for certain s2 was confirmed.
Countless other anime got these type of specials, and none of those specials that didn't announce a s2 had so many sources saying that a s2 was confirmed before the special even aired.

It is good to see an official confirmation but, we already knew this years ago.

The first season was utter power fantasy but I enjoyed it. I may give this season a look.

While it may appeal to some viewers, Isekai de Cheat Skill ended up being quite disappointing for me, as it leans too heavily on wish-fulfillment without offering enough depth or meaningful development; at the very least, I expected more consistency in its storytelling and better use of its premise.
