So I bought a vintage Predicta television set that only shows vintage programs and it came with vintage TV Guides. Hooray no more reality crap for me. Tonight is Monday July 14, 1969. After watching I need to run out and get a pack of Tareyton cigarettes and a box of Tampex, Super Plus tampons. ENJOY YOUR REALITY!

Legally Dumb:

MTV’s “Legally Blonde The Musical: The Search For Elle Woods” gives ten vapid ditzy hopefuls the opportunity at a shot of becoming the new Elle Woods.

You would think that it would be an easy task. Put ten airheads on stage and pick the “blondest” one, Right?

Wrong!

I guess it takes a smart woman to play a dumb gal because these girls are really...like...bad.

I have a better idea for a Legally Blonde reality show.

A version of, "The Most Dangerous Game" but with blondes.

Take ten blonde hopefuls and strand them on a deserted island.
Arm them with an array of deadly weapons and assault rifles.
Film the ensuing bloody mayhem, and only "ONE" can win.
The final contestant becomes licensed and registered.
She may now enter the general population as, “Legally Blonde.”

Good luck to the blonde hopefuls,
see you in the bloody winners circle.

TV Guide:

I haven't been watching much television lately but as I was viewing the evening news I ran across a commercial for The New American Gladiators.

The most notable gladiator was, Titan

MMM...Titan!

What a lovely gay face.

I might have to tune in to what I’m sure will be a wretched show. It’s only negative is that it's hosted by Hulk Hogan...the kiss of death for any television show.

On second thought maybe I won't watch. Just call me in when Titan comes on...I’ll be outside, gardening.

TV Guide: Julia

"Julia was a 1960s television series, best remembered as being the first weekly series to depict an African American woman in a non-stereotypical role. Previous television series featured African American lead characters, but the characters were usually servants. The show starred actress and singer Diahann Carroll, and ran for 86 episodes on NBC from September 17, 1968 to March 23, 1971. In Julia, Carroll played widowed single mother Julia Baker (her fighter pilot husband had been shot down in Vietnam) who was a nurse in a doctor's office. The doctor, Morton Chegley, was played by Lloyd Nolan, and Julia's romantic interests by Paul Winfield and Fred Williamson. Though Julia is now remembered as being groundbreaking, while on the air, it was derided by a significant segment of the African American community as not being "political" or "angry" enough, due largely to its status as a standard, lighthearted sitcom. Carroll won the 1968 Golden Globe for Best Actress in a television series for her role in Julia."
