To answer the question: Juneteenth exists as a federal holiday because it’s a way for elites to show obeisance to a protected class, in this case Blacks — this is part of a general effort to prove their moral fitness to lead — since most people see that the massive federal government is of little use to them, this is the main way politicians justify their existence and exercise of authority: they’re morally better than you.

It also gives federal employees another day off: there are now 11 national federal holidays in the US; only 6 of those are widely recognized as holidays in the private sector.

I lived in East Texas durng the mid ’80s and juneteenth was pretty much a roundly ignored invented holiday kind of like kwanza. Juneteenth seems to have gone unnoticed by the general public at the time. I’ve reviewed microfilmed issues of Greeley’s New York Daily Tribune from June 20, 1865 through thirty days afterward and found no mention of it al all. In the chaos of the immediate postwar period, it took the news from Texas about a week to appear, but there is nothing about Grainger or his proclamation reported in this loudest antislavery mainstream voice. The claim is made that Texan slaves did not know they had been freed, but that is highly unlikely. There was word of mouth and there were newspapers and telegraph lines. I found a detailed report of Lee’s surrender in a Galveston paper printed four days after the event. Kirby Smith and his rebel army were in control of Texas until they surrendered in Galveston to US forces on June 2 and mostly headed for Mexico. They knew the war was lost, as did other Texans, white and black.

In any case slavery ended in America on December 5 of that year, when the Thirteenth Amendment was ratified. If the slaveholders had accepted Lincoln’s “olive branch” offered in the 1862 State of the Union address they could have retained the institution until 1900, and received full monetary compensation for the value of their human property, for whose repatriation to Africa a federal bond issue was proposed, but that is perhaps another story.

It may be appropriate to quote the following from a prominent black leftist website, “Any effort to make Juneteenth a national holiday should be viewed with caution. Such a designation would only continue the telling of false tales. A friend of mine had a job driving mentally handicapped adults from their group home to a special school every weekday. One such day she got into an accident, and while she was exchanging paperwork with the other driver, her charges got out of the transport vehicle and started wandering about the neighborhood.

And last Wednesday was the birthday feast day for St. John the Baptist. Having said that, I am on my guard these days anytime blacks are around. Thankfully, in the circles where I run, I have little contact with them. A few have even been looking at the property assets in a manner that suggests they may be back one day to “liberate” our property. The solution is cameras everywhere. Bad scene.

Genetically mixing Blacks with Whites still yields a less intelligent, more violent, and less attractive human being. Therefore, shouldn’t we attempt to reverse this trend? Of course we should. Yet this traditional, common-sense view does no comport with today’s dominant consensus or race or the elite media narrative which sustains it. There’s our key probem.

But let’s step back. It was the Supreme Court that put a huge nail in the coffin of Free Association (and White continuity) when a majority of jurists declared (in 1948) that racially restrictive covenants (deed restrictions) were unconstitutional. This was the landmark Supreme Court decision of Shelly v Kraemer.

Ironically, 1948 was the very same year that the racially-restictivenation of Israel was declared. Moreover, our very same government (under Pres. Truman) took just minutes to recogonize the modern ‘Jews Only’ country.

The bottom line of these top-down judgements: Jews get to self-segregate. Whites are not allowed to do so.

This glaring double-standard still holds. Imagine that.

What we White Americans must do (if we are to preserve our exemplary race) is for us to reclaim our right to live separately when we choose. This reclaimed right necessitates the lawful right to exclude based on racial grounds. This is not unreasonable. It is born from an innate propensity to preserve one’s racial heritage. And there needn’t be violence.

Striving for racial preservation is neither a crime nor a sin. It is understandable, reasonable, and commendable.

Lawful, non-violent, White separatism (in housing) was entirely lawful up until Shelly. But this landmark decision declared the restrictive deeds (which protected all-White neighborhoods from negro violence and dysfunction) were unlawful. Outrageous. Just look at what’s happened since.

After passing off counterfeit money – original reason for the arrest – the cops saw that this degenerate reprobate was high on drugs (Fentanyl, I believe). They’d called an ambulance for him. They had gotten him most of the way into the cop car after having first verbally dealt with him for many minutes in the usual way with certain black people – round and round talking, loud as hell, complaining but never answering a single simple question…

Anyway, Floyd was a pretty big guy and he had his legs sticking out of the one passenger-side rear door of the cop car that they tried to fit him into. He would not budge, so they had to hold him there on the street, waiting for any ambulance, to which the dispatcher had given wrong directions or something. In fact, an off-duty EMT was there with the Minneapolis street yellers, spending the time yelling at the cop rather than going down only a couple of blocks to get the ambulance headed toward this spot.

Floyd did not die of overdose. He died because incompetent, homicidal police held him in a stress position during his golden window of treatment for longer than he could tolerate.

I watched every video available and I am absolutely satisfied that Derek Chauvin got the sentence he deserved. He also deserved being stabbed 22 times by another inmate on the inside. Too bad he’s still alive.

I live in a hotbed of police corruption. A nearby detention facility (now closed) had a major problem with deadly force and “disappearances” going back a century to it’s founding. Likely is the case. I find it extremely improbable that a giant +200lb black man died under Chauvin’s knee over a period of 8-1/2min and Chauvin never noticed that he was in distress and then in cardiac arrest. He noticed when Floyd died, because he then took his knee off his back/neck.

So at a minimum, if the knee had nothing to do with it, he deliberately caused his death by withholding first aid. From watching the video, I think he knew exactly what he was doing, but he wrongly assumed his police union would protect him.

I have a relative who worked corrections here in California, in men’s prisons. She did it for about eight years, which was all she could stomach. Anyway, the idea that inmates (especially White inmates) are getting raped left and right simply isn’t true, at least in the California state prison system. Here, inmates segregate themselves into one of the four big “cars” (White or ‘wood, abbreviated from the old anti-White slur ‘peckerwood’; southern Hispanic; northern Hispanic; and black). There are other smaller cars, and my relative was always quick to point out that the black car “programmed” quite loosely in comparison to the other cars, but that’s the basic breakdown. Anyway, your car was your protection. Sure that protection didn’t come for free; you were going to be expected to put in “work” (often consisting of a violent assault on another race, or on some trash such as a chomo or snitch, or a member of your own car who had fallen out of favor), but in return you did get protection, though as always the black car didn’t program as strictly as the other cars. And you were going to follow strict rules governed by prison “politics”, but at least you weren’t getting sexually assaulted by tyrone or shitavious (unless you were a black in the black car, which as mentioned just did things differently).

When I was in PR China in mid-1999s the place was flooded with fake money. I even had a bank slip me some fake notes when I changed some foreign currency. You never knew which notes were fake and which were not. Often you’d have shops and bars refuse some notes and I saw people then just tearing them up. Nobody ever bothered to call the cops even though China is supposed to be strict. They only arrested people who had suitcases full of fake notes not someone trying to pass a few fake bills in a shop. At the time everyone in China was trying to pass on fake bills, knowingly or unknowingly. It it worked great, if not tough luck.

When there is fake money in circulation anyone can end up with it and to me it is ridiculous to call the cops and interrogate someone because of a fake bill. I think there is one point that salient. The officer used excessive force. Whether the bill was counterfeit, real, large bill or small . . . whether Mr. Floyd was king of England or a homeless guy living in s box top. Whether Mr. Floyd was a drug addict, prior arrest issues is all interesting, but not the issue. Whether Mr. Floyd ingested substances that contributed to his death, interesting — but utterly not the point. The officer use of force was excessive and that there were other officers that could have aided in preventing said excessive force matters.

It was not a technique used by the department and there was no reason given the multiple alternatives. You may argue with these gentleman until t=you ate blue in the face — at the end if the day — you will only be left with a discussion that includes not the kitchen sink, but the moon as well – all indicating that the officers conduct was appropriate. Evidence withstanding.

Considering that Floyd is dead, it’s rather obvious that ‘they could have handled it better’ — but that’s not the question — the question is whether Derek Chauvin and the others should have been criminally prosecuted, especially given the full history of their encounter with Floyd, who at no time during the entire confrontation showed he deserved the benefit of the doubt.

I have done substituting teaching in the past in a lot of public schools, especially inner city and suburban black schools.

Teachers and faculty have a process called “write ups” for students that violate rules.

One of the first cops there testified that he drew his weapon because Floyd refused to obey his repeated instructions to keep his hands in plain view — so Floyd’s unwillingness to cooperate, even in the simplest way, was apparent from the beginning.

Later they succeeded in getting Floyd into the back of a patrol car, where he sat for several minutes, before he became violent again and tried to escape the car — when he started to resist and struggle again, they took him to the ground and restrained him, via a method (a knee on the muscular part of the neck) they had been trained to use.

With a guy as big and strong as Floyd, you have to use a lot of force to restrain him — they decided he had to be physically restrained because based on the totality of their long interaction with him, it was clear Floyd was not going to cooperate — he had exhausted their patience and any good will they had toward him, which is understandable.

Cops will use as much force as they think necessary to restrain someone and carry out an arrest.

Furthermore as stated, the other officers on the scheme should have intervened to protect the officer if nothing else.

I would take you down a long road of officer involved incidents and the excuses used for said interactions. Here is the one singular constant — officers are notorious liars when it comes to what occurred and why when the issue is between them and and unarmed person. We grant them the use lies because we tend o see the officer’s job as tough and everyone should do whatever an officer says — that is real power and credibility without — actual credibility. We live on a steady diet of the said person attacked the officer. Hence the press for cameras.

People should cooperate with the police, but they don’t and many times don’t have to. But that there were other officers there to assist and didn’t — well ‘nough said.

Lots of people have issues. If those people are US citizens they are entitled to survive interactions with the police. If not for the excessive use of force, chances are Mr. Floyd would be alive.
