This summer I decided I should start my Jan Patek quilt - Birdsong. I gathered fabric, traced, cut, ironed and packed up for a long 2 day drive to Wisconsin.



A few days before the trip, hubby's back started acting up! We postponed the trip for a few days. Then decided we could make the trip if I drove! There went all of my applique time!

During the cold days of Thanksgiving vacation, I completed 2 of the blocks!

Since the weather turned cold I have been cooped up quilting! That is not a bad thing! I decided I needed to work on finishing something. I pulled out these blocks, setting squares and triangles, and have been working on them since Saturday!

I joined in Charming Chatter's Secret Santa Swap. Here is the Christmas wall hanging I made for my person. I hope she likes it. This pattern was a fun one to make!

I have been waiting for this new book of inspiration to arrive in the mail. Today was my lucky day! There are so many wonderful quilts!

I am so tempted to start a new project, but keep reminding myself this is the year of finishing!

I have decided to use a Fandango Layer Cake for this Quilt Along. I love all of Kate Spain's fabric.
