Here is a picture of us on the hike today. As you can see the weather was beautiful. The lake is still frozen but it felt like spring! 50 degrees. Aren't the mountains fabulous? They are in the Bob Marshall Wilderness. 

I finished another Sue Spargo block this evening. It is a corner block in the border. The Olympics are good for my handwork projects.

Greenbriar quilt
I finished this block for my Greenbriar quilt last night while watching the Olympics. If I can get the blocks prepped today I'll be really productive each evening as I watch more of the action.

I went to an art quilt show today in Hamilton, MT. I have wanted to try making an art quilt but have been really intimidated. When I got home today I got out the scrap box and started. Here is my project so far. I want to do some thread sketching. I bought the latest Quilter's Art magazine with an article about it.

I got these Joel Dewberry fabrics. I'm not a real fan of contemporary fabrics, but I just love these colors!

I joined eBay and won my first bids. I got the fabrics today. This first group are 15 fat quarters from the Old Primrose Inn Moda group by Blackbird Designs. I just love them.

I'm home today, under the weather. I guess it is hard not to get sick when a student sneezes all over you.

I'm under a quilt, working on a quilt for our guild show's raffle. I'm doing some hand applique. I hope to have it done and a picture posted later today.

This is my very first post. I hardly know what to do, but am trying to get this blog started!

I posted this picture of my dog, Luc. He is recovering from knee surgery. The surgery went well and he will be rafting with us in late March. He loves rafting and wearing his life jacket.

My next post will show my latest quilt project.
