fun Saturday

My weekend last week was fun. After so many weekends spent in SP, last weekend plus the next 2, i'll be in KL. Zul has been assigned to a 2-week task in KL. If all is well, he'll might be joining the parade on 6th June 2009 at Dataran Merdeka, in conjunction with the celebration of Agong's birthday. All the best dear!

Last Saturday was a packed day for us. PGB held its family day for staff stationed at the head office. Location, Sunway Lagoon yeay! How exciting is that! We took part in the sukaneka and 'illegally' made an early-escape to find our way to its wild water slides and other attractions in both wet & dry park. We had so much fun from 8.30 am till 3.30pm. The best thing is, i think i didnt get the expected sunburn this time...save it for KKP09!

Later that day, we headed to my aunt's house at Gombak. We had a wedding invitation at Dewan Perdana Felda that night. Neither Sepang nor Bukit Beruntung is within the desire distance for us to settle down before the ceremony. So we decided to visit my aunt, took a quick break and geared up for the wedding. There, we sat at table 17, together with Kimi & Sha and Norli & Amirul. The hall was so beautiful, i like! Congratulations to Ayol & Amin. Selamat Pengantin Baru.

Before we took off that night, we took a group photo. Amirul&Norli, Sha&Kimi, Zul&Jaja and Ira&Apai. Semua dah kahwin except for Ira & Apai..tak lame lg tu :) Lame gile tak lepak dgn Ira & Fatin...i miss u girls!

Apparently, more and more friends are getting married this weekend. I may make an appearance to Anis's and Peet's wedding. Insyaallah...Congrats to Anis, Peet, Hana and Farah.

p/s: Yes, i gained weight a.k.a fat. so what?

Last Friday, during lunch time, I went for shopping to get a farewell token for Zul’s second man in charge in the battalion. We decided to give something that he and wife can use, something meaningful. At first, I proposed to buy a woodcraft token available at ARCH KLCC. But Zul voiced his concern that it might go to waste, kumpul habuk je. So based on my previous experience being farewell-ed , we settled down with exclusive pen for them! We truly like the idea and we know that Mej Nizam is happy with the gift. Yeay! Regimental dinner was held to celebrate outgoing officers as well as the new comers. But I couldn’t believe myself that we did not take any duo pictures that night! Only group photos, maybe I’ll upload some later.
While the sales lady was preparing the gift, I took a walk around the shopping mall. To my surprise, I met an old friend who at that moment was having her lunch with her officemate. It’s been so long since we talk to each other. The last time we had long conversation was almost a year back, during KKP. And to know that she is getting married soon, we kept on talking, denying the existence of full stop. We talked about hows life changes, with everyone entering new phases in their on ways. For instance, after 6 months, I still couldn’t believe that I’m married! No I’m not living in denial nor able to explain the rationale behind this. You gotta experience it yourself… one thing for sure, personally, the best thing about marriage is when you and partner perform solat together. You’ll feel complete and peaceful; it keeps your inspired and motivated to go through the day.
The old friend, Sal mentioned that she read my entry on the wedding day and highlighted there were no pictures on the wedding held at Zul’s side. Well, here goes…To Sal, I enjoyed talking to you since forever. May the wedding goes very well. You’ll be a good wife, no doubt!

So long...farewell CAU

I have officially moved to Gas Business on 4th May 2009. The environment here is different, something for me to explore to appreciate. But I’m adapting well; this stranger knows her limit, InsyaAllah.

My previous workplace was a bit isolated. I’d say the best place to focus on everything; to work and to play. I used to think that I’m an extrovert. But the more I think about it, I think I’m actually an introvert. I love to socialize but need my own space at the same time. Complicated. Hehe

Unlike the old one, the new workstation that I’m gonna be in is so exposed. Back then, the corner is for 5 people. But the at the new place, its for everyone. Exposure shock, is there such word?

Nonetheless, both have something to cherish for and I’m ok with both.

Today, I had my farewell celebration during lunch time. It was a small gathering of the old team plus the new girl who’s replacing me. 6 of us headed to Secret Recipe KLCC with stomach empty…but of course, came back loaded..phew~

The funny thing was, we talked about work over the lunch. Hehe I guess we are imbalance when afterall. The moment we open our mouth, its always about the issues, difficult staff and office gossips.

A big change awaits me…this new task is indeed, very challenging. Its time to move on and learn something new.
CAU team..this picture were taken for someone else's farewell...
the farewell card..
and the wishes...
the unexpected gift...with my name written on it!! Jaja Rosly..how cool is that

To CAU team, thank you for your support, patience, and friendship over the past years. May our path crosses again in the near future, InsyaAllah

We ride bike too

May in 2009 is heaven for its extra off days! Unlike any other weekends, last weekend I was at home instead of SP. Our initial plan was to spend time at Perlis. But somehow, the bosses approved the leaves that Zul never applied for. Sweet? I suggest that you hold that thought.

It feels good to be a decent wife once in a while. By decent, I mean doing what a typical wife would do for the husband; house chores, cook, wash, etc. Not that I don’t want to but distance limits my options. Thanks to the leave approval, I managed to cook for Zul that day.

After solat jumaat, around 3 to 4 pm, a text from SP came in. A special order for Zul to get something which is quite impossible to find in KL. The nearest place with the highest possibility is Kuantan. I suggested that Zul take the car to get there. But after long discussion, we decided to take the bike! Yes, we ride bike too!

The journey was challenging. First because of the weight that the bike carries. Second because of the route that we take. From Bukit Beruntung, the nearest route to Kuantan is through Genting Highlands. Challenging enough? For a 110c powered Yamaha Lagenda with 140kg duo to climb up Genting Highlands, I must say that it is amazing! It took us almost 4 hours to arrive at Kuantan. It was already dark by the time we were there. So we headed to Atok’s house at Pekan for a night stay and came back to Bukit Beruntung the next day.

Another crazy weekend. Look forward for more!
