Snow from our front porch

Went out to breakfast with a group of friends this morning and by the time I got home it started snowing.  Now at 2:00 it is starting to accumulate a little.  The snow is supposed to turn to rain later this afternoon and by tomorrow it will be all gone.   It's so pretty.

Off to stitch on Prairie Schooler May and listen to V is for Vengeance by Sue Grafton.

Yesterday I finished reading Origin by Dan Brown.  I enjoyed this as much as I did the other books he has written.

Progress on Prairie Schooler - May

I am stitching this because Bob's birthday is in May.  I already stitched January, my birth month, and it is at Just Cross Stitch in Limerick, PA getting framed along with Arsenic and Old Lace.

Prairie Schooler - May

I am also stitching on a Christmas ornament but no pictures of that.  It should be finished this weekend.

We had a good Valentine's Day.  Bob orders dinner from a caterer in Pottstown. Bause Landry Catering,  and their Valentine's dinners are wonderful.   We had Hor D'oeuvres, Beef Wellington in Pastry with Mushroom Duxelle, Honey Gingered Carrots, Red Bliss Mashed Potatoes, and Chocolate Mousse with Salted Carmel.  I gave him a box of Godiva chocolates and he gave me long stemmed red roses.  They are beautiful.

Now today I'm not feeling very good.  I have a sinus headache and stuffy nose.  I don't think it is a cold because they always start with an itchy throat and sore throat.  None of that so I just took an allergy pill and hopefully I will fell better in a little while.

My latest finish

Designer:  Bent Creek
Design:  March Blows
Fabric:  PTP 16CT Aida Confetti
Floss:  WDW & Gentle Arts
1st Stitch:  01/26/2019
Last Stitch:  02/03/2019
For:  Me - Ornament Tree
I really messed up the finishing on this and Bob thinks I should re-do it but since it is only for my ornament tree I am going to leave it for now.  I will keep the chart and maybe some day I will re-stitch it.

I started the next Christmas ornament.  It is from the 2015 Just Cross Stitch ornament issue but I can't remember the designer but the name of the design is Merry Christmas 2015.  I just have to change the 5 to a 9 but I have a way to go before I need to worry about that.  I am also plugging along on PS May.  PS designs are so deceptive.  They look so simple but they take a long time to stitch.

Wole up to snow this morning.  Not a lot but just enough to prevent me from going to Silver Sneakers this morning.  We are suppose to have more snow this afternoon turning into sleet, freezing rain and then turning to rain tomorrow.  More rain on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.  We will soon need an Ark.

Should be fun after breakfast.  Bob and I are going to get our taxes info ready to take to the accountant later this month.  Good thoughts that I will be able to keep my mouth shut.  He wants me to be there with him but he doesn't want my advise or opinion on anything and I always get in trouble when we do this.  I need a zipper.

Well off to do other things.

Amaryllis

For Christmas my niece, Kathy, gave us a basket of spring bulbs including an Amaryllis .  The other bulbs have bloomed including some beautiful tulips which I never took a picture of.  Now we have this beautiful Amaryllis blooming so I thought I would share some pictures.

I hate to bore you with these pictures but I think they are just beautiful.  I love the vibrant red and it is especially with the snow in the background.
