Heresy Era Space Marine Rumours...
Well these pics of what are apparently 'Heresy' era Space Marine sprues are all over the place currently but to be honest I might be interested if they were Mark 2 or 3 but these appear to be Mark 4 which I'm pretty indifferent to appearance wise...
Either way for what it's worth here are the pictures. Click on them for larger versions...
Thoughts and comments are (as usual) most welcome.

Well it's certainly big...
The colossal Mars pattern Warlord Titan is among the most ancient and feared of the Imperium’s war machines. Forged on the Red Planet itself, it is worshipped and venerated as the Omnissiah’s will incarnate, and each god-engine is encased in layered armour and powerful void shielding, and armed with weapons that are capable of reducing armies to ash.
In addition to its ardex-defensor mauler bolt cannon and lascannon turrets, support weapons that would be considered main armaments on smaller war machines, the Warlord is commonly fitted with a pair of carapace-mounted triple-barrelled laser blasters and two Belicosa
pattern Volcano cannon.
The Belicosa pattern Volcano cannon is one of the most potent energy weapons produced by the forges of the Mechanicum. It is so fearsome infact that only the plasma reactor of the Warlord Titan can feed its ravenous appetite for power and make possible the destruction of the most terrible foes of Mankind. The Warlord’s triple-barrelled laser blasters are also immensely powerful weapons, created to destroy entire squadrons of armoured vehicles in each blazing volley.
By far the most impressive model we have ever produced, the Mars pattern Warlord Titan stands at over 22 inches tall and weighs more than twice that of a Reaver Titan. Consisting of more than 200 parts, this huge model is amazingly poseable and immensely detailed, from its pistons, vents and access hatches to the intricately designed cockpit and crew inside its head and the embossed icons on its armour plates. It will truly be the pinnacle of any collection and will dominate any battlefield it is placed on.
The rules for using the Mars Warlord Battle Titan can be found in The Horus Heresy Book Five - Tempest and may be used in both games set during the Horus Heresy and in standard games of Warhammer 40,000, in which case the Mars Warlord Battle Titan is a Lords of War choice for Armies of the Imperium and Chaos Space Marines.
The Mars pattern Warlord Titan Body, Mars-Alpha pattern Warlord Titan Head, Mars pattern Warlord Belicosa Volcano Cannon and Mars pattern Warlord Titan Laser Blasters are each multi-part resin kits which together build a complete Mars pattern Warlord Titan. You will need two Mars pattern Warlord Belicosa Volcano Cannon to complete the Warlord Titan.

A Daemon Prince of the Ruinstorm, spreading madness and slaughtering all before him in baleful frenzy, Samus is here! A hulking monstrosity, towering over mortals, Samus, a daemon of murder made manifest, was incarnated at the height of his powers as the walls between reality and the Warp were stretched thin by the Word Bearers’ dark rites at Calth. If his corporeal flesh was destroyed, he would soon return again to wreak havoc and claim more souls for the powers of Chaos, the sound of his name echoing through the Warp and in the minds of men.Samus, Daemon Prince of the Ruinstorm is the latest model in the Horus Heresy Character Series. Presented in a collectors edition black box, Samus can be built with his right hand clutching a dismembered Space Marine or as an open claw. The Lord Marshal of a Solar Auxilia battlegroup is the supreme commander of his forces. He may have the total respect of his men or be a despot of the highest order, but he will be a master strategist, fearsome duellist and an experienced frontline commander prepared to sacrifice his forces in defence of the Imperium.
Auxilia Tactical Command Sections facilitate the flow of orders from central command, directing the movement of thousands of men and vehicles, as well as coordinating devastating aerial and orbital strikes upon a foe. The Proclaimator’s communications equipment links the section to the battlegroup’s command and control structure, allowing the Strategos to issue orders efficiently and directly to the units under his purview. The Vexilarius carries the cohort’s standard, a great honour usually only bestowed upon a warrior who has performed an act of bravery or feat of arms, whilst the Veteran Auxilia defend the section itself from advancing enemy.
The Solar Auxilia Tactical Command comprises six models including a Lord Marshal armed with a paragon blade and archaeotech pistol, and a full Auxilia Tactical Command Section consisting of a Strategos, Proclaimator, Vexilarius, a Veteran Auxiliary with meltagun and Veteran Auxiliary with grenade launcher. Also included are optional helmeted and unhelmeted heads for both the Lord Marshal and Strategos.
The Lord Marshal and Auxilia Tactical Command Section can be fielded as two separate units in Solar Auxilia armies in Horus Heresy games. Their rules can be found in The Horus Heresy Book Four – Conquest.

Just in case you're bored of your Reaver Titans current weapon load-out...
The Reaver is a Battle Titan protected by thick adamantine armour, powerful void shields and bearing devestating weapons. Two weapons such weapons in the arsenal of the Titan Legions are the Reaver Titan Volcano Cannon and the Reaver Titan Chainfist.
The Reaver Titan Volcano Cannon is the largest weapon that the Titan's frame can support. This colossal cannon can unleash a beam of destructive energy detonating into a huge explosion at the point of impact.
As effective at breaching fortifications and strong points as it is at rending Warmachines and enemy Titans and Gargants of the savage Ork empires, the Reaver Titan Chainfist brutal close assault weapon composed of contra-rotating teeth surrounded by a powerful disrupting energy field.
These two titan weapons are multi-part resin kits that can be used for either the left or right arms on the Reaver Titan and Chaos Reaver Titan Body kits. These weapons can be used in both Horus Heresy games and standard games of Warhammer 40,000, rules for using Reaver titans can be found in The Horus Heresy Book One – Betrayal, Warhammer 40,000 Apocalypse and Imperial Armour Volume Thirteen - War Machines of the Lost and the Damned.

Even though I don't play 40K any-more I'm probably going to buy this model...because of...
...okay, I don't have any better reason than 'I want it'...

Arrogant, ruthless and utterly lethal in all aspects of close combat,Sevatar, First Captain of the Night Lords, is a supreme warrior. Before the dark times of the Horus Heresy, his talents garnered him respect throughout the Legiones Astartes, but his murderous will and litany of crimes kindled his reputation for dishonour even before he was the first Traitor to declare ‘Death to the false Emperor’.
Dangerous and violent, Sevatar is a master of close assault, tearing through Loyalist Space Marines and their allies with his nostraman chainglaive. His skill, coupled with nascent but long repressed psychic powers, makes his strikes and parries uncannily precise, blocking the attacks of his opponent with ease and expertly evading their defences to deliver the killing blow.
The latest addition to Forge World's Horus Heresy Character Series, this highly detailed model depicts Sevatar, First Captain of the Night Lords, his armour embellished with trophies of uncounted victories, many the mortal remains of his foes. The scenic base provided with this kit depicts a slain Space Marine at Sevatar’s feet, and also provided is the option of modelling Sevatar with a bare head or a leering, skull-faced helmet.
Sevatar, First Captain of the Night Lords can be fielded in Night Lords Legion armies in Horus Heresy games. His rules can be found in The Horus Heresy Book Two – Massacre and The Horus Heresy – Isstvan Campaign Legions.

“It is better by far to be an object of fear than of respect, for one is a truth of the soul and the other an illusion of the mind.”
The Codex Hydra
The commanders of the VIIth Legion are among the most stoic and skilled of the Legiones Astartes, engendering the highest levels of loyalty and discipline within their warriors. Having won countless victories against the enemies of Mankind, each is an expert on battlefield tactics and an accomplished warrior in their own right.
The Imperial Fists Legion Command set is a complete multi-part resin kit comprising two models: one is armed with a power sword and a bolt pistol, the other is equipped with a Legion standard and a power maul. Both wear modified Mk IV armour featuring the iconography of the Imperial Fists Legion. These models can be used to represent a variety of different roles in the Legion Astartes Crusade Army list from The Horus Heresy Book One - Betrayal, from Centurions to Veteran Sergeants.

Maybe when there's a rule-set for Warhammer 40K that I still enjoy playing...
...though I could buy a couple while I'm waiting, lol.
...though I could buy a couple while I'm waiting, lol.
Thallax are heavily augmented cyborg shock-troops created by completely replacing the major organs, nervous system and cerebrum of a human with armoured mechanical systems powered by an internal reactor core. This endows them with strength and fortitude greater even than that of a Space Marine, but at a terrible cost to those forced to endure this process.
Deployed as Thallax Cohorts by their Mechanicum overseers, these cold, calculating killing machines witness the devastation they unleash against human and alien alike as a raging storm of electromagnetic turmoil, blood-heat and seismic percussion. When faced with far more powerful foes, the Thallax Cohort’s standard lightning guns can be replaced with more specialised and volatile weaponry such as the phased plasma-fusil or the arcane irad-cleanser.
Thallax Cohorts may be taken as part of a Mechanicum or Legiones Astartes army in Horus Heresy games. Their rules can be found in The Horus Heresy Book 3 – Extermination.
The Thallax Cohort with Phased Plasma-fusil and Thallax Cohort with Irad-cleanser are both complete multi-part resin kits. Each kit includes three models, two armed with lightning guns and one with a phased plasma-fusil or irad-cleanser. These kits are available to pre-order now for despatch from Friday 23rd January.
