BOO!

This year I let the kids choose what they wanted to be for Halloween and then created a theme around them! Bud really wanted to be a cowboy and Emma wanted to be a cat. Once Emma said that Mo was on board and wanted to be a kitty too! The thought of 2 cats and a cowboy reminded me of a commercial I had seen in passing and we knew our family had a Halloween theme:

Here's Emma ready to start her Kindergarten Halloween parade:

On Saturday we carved our pumpkins in preparation for the Trunk or Treat that evening:

They looked pretty good in our trunk:

And here's the crew (Henry wasn't really excited about the cat ears, but we tried to make it work for a few pictures!):

Tonight we're going to have "mummy dogs" for dinner and watch a movie.
Happy Halloween!

The weigh in....

On Saturday N8 decided we needed to do a weigh in for Henry. He had his 2 month check up last week and came in at 14 lbs 14 oz. He is one little chubby guy!! N8 needed proof of his chubbiness and here it is:

Here's a similar look at Bud when he was about the same age (there is a striking resemblance!).

It's a good thing all of our pictures are dated in their folders on the computer. We might have some trouble figuring out which baby is which!!

Luckily Emma is usually in pink or has her hair in a ponytail!

Burros and baptism and blessing oh my!!

I will start with a warning that there are a TON of pictures in the post. There were just TOO many fun ones I couldn't decide!

We had quite an eventful weekend. First we started with a hearty breakfast. N8 was super excited to use his new griddle on the CampChef:

Then we headed out to our local Burro Rescue:

After that it was onto the main event of the day~Bud's baptism!!!
N8 was a little nervous, but did great (so did Bud!).

We were SUPER excited that my parents were able to make it out:

We also had my sisters family come from Northern California:

Bud had another friend that was also getting baptized. Her mom had the towels made for each of them:

Here he is after his baptism:

Then on Sunday we had Henry's baby blessing. Here's the whole crew:

And our family:

And Grandma with Henry:

He was very well behaved through the whole thing :)

We are so blessed to have such a wonderful family. Our children as well as parent, siblings, cousins, etc. Having the Gospel as a part of our life and having the knowledge of the plan of salvation is a wonderful blessing too. Knowing that these are the people that we know and love now and they will be with us forever. I am grateful for Bud's choice to be baptized and excited to see him grow in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Henry in his short life has already brought us joy and I look forward everyday to see him grow and learn.
Here are a few more fun pictures from the weekend:

Buggy Birthday Party Bud!!

Bud totally lucked out and I had a product study that coordinated with his upcoming birthday!! He turns 8 on Sunday and is super excited!!

I was asked to product review Hexbug Nano by MomSelect. An awesome box of product were sent to us to try and see how we liked them.

I made some fun goodie bags for each of the kids that attended.

Each child received 3 bugs and pieces of track to take home!

N8 worked before the party on setting up the "habitat" for battle!

Here's the group trying it out:

We also had bug races:

And we built bugs out of Legos!

Instead of cake I made dirt and worms!

Bud got some super fun presents and is grateful for wonderful friends!

I would recommend Hexbugs for kids from 5-10 years old, boys and girls. They're simple to use and have fun appeal. The habitat was easy to construct and the parts are solidly constructed. My kids are all interested in some of the other bugs that Hexbug is making.
