When Revelation was written by John in 94-96 AD, a denarius was a day’s wage for a working laborer. A quart of wheat would feed an individual or three quarts of barley would feed a family. Roughly a quart of grain was required to make a loaf of bread.
Likewise, luxury items like oil and wine are unharmed at this time. It would appear there is a gap between the “haves” and “have nots”.

Ezekiel 38‘s gang met together this week in Tehran, Iran. The nations are molding a political, economic, and military alliance.

Russia has been visiting Iran about the possibility of drone purchases.

Russian energy giant Gazprom has signed a $40 billion deal with Iran. Remember, this was completed in the face of western sanctions against Russia in their invasion of Ukraine. Iran is also under sanctions from the west.
“This MoU (memorandum of understanding) will be the largest foreign investment in the history of Iran’s oil industry, as it will lead to an investment of several tens of billions of dollars of Russian investment in Iran’s oil and gas fields.”
“Iran and Russia have a total of 70 trillion cubic meters of gas reserves, which is 30% of the world’s gas reserves. Therefore, these two countries play a very important role in ensuring the world’s energy sustainability.” -Iran’s Tasnim News Agency.
Gazprom has also stated it will not be able to deliver natural gas to a significant European customer due to an “Act of God”.
Russia and Turkey are looking to sign a deal regarding the distribution of grain from Ukraine. Over 130 ships are believed to be blocked in the Black Sea.
“An agreement was reached on a plan, general principles for shipping grain and food products… A meeting on this within the week is probable,” Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar
Iran claims it has the technical capability to produce a nuclear bomb.

July 9, 2020: Another explosion has occurred in Iran. This time west of the capital in Tehran. Again, gas tanks were the cause. Electrical services were impacted in this part of the city.
The location is suspected to be related to missile technologies according to various outlets. That said, there is no official confirmation.
